May 27th 2007 Wonder Cruise. Anyone else on it?

Hi Shan!

I will PM you when I get the final details. Tim, the guy from cruisecritic that is heading up the group booking, is suppose to finalize the details this week with the Radisson.

Thanks Randi! Will we be able to have a room under our own names?

BTW, my oldest DD will be 9 for the cruise. I'm a little sad my girls will be split up this time - my youngest will be 6. On our last (and first) cruise they were together, but this time their ages don't match up for the age groups.

The rooms should be in your names just part of a group rate. We have a daughter that will be 10 at the time we sail. Maybe they can chat some and get to know each other. :) I am not sure if I introduced us on the first page it is myself- Randi 32, DH- Jody 32, and DD- Ashlyn 10.

That sounds good. I just wondered about just having a room under a different name (Tim, you said?) and I would just feel better knowing I actually had a room booked specifically for us under our name, if that makes any sense.

That would be nice if our girls met. Both my girls met someone the first night of our last cruise and they basically hung out with them the entire trip every time they went into the club. It will be just be myself, DH and our two girls.

Hi girls! We are booked on your cruise also! :cloud9:
Myself, Dh, my mom, and my 3 kidos!
DS - 14
DS - 9
DD - 6

We booked 2 of the connecting deluxe inside rooms. We have always had balcony suites or OV...so i hope the inside is not a let down. Also, this is our FIRST disney cruise! :cheer2:

Hi Tiggery! We're currently booked on that cruise too. We have connecting cat. 10 rooms. Is this your first DC?

since we have connecting rooms cat 10 I was thinking we will be on same deck- 2?

:Pinkbounc THis is ME! The days cant go fast enough...I'm worse than the kids about this Disney Cruise!

On both our prior two Disney cruises we had cat. 10 rooms on deck 2. This past time we had connecting rooms. We loved them. In fact, we rebooked the exact same rooms we had this year for the May 07 cruise. We haven't minded not having a window, since we don't spend that much time in the room. We'd rather save the money for WDW or excursions.
Judy

Thanks all!
As far as the rooms, I was thinking the same ..we shouldnt miss the balcony since we dont stay in the rooms much.

Hey jjatwdw, we will be neighbors! :teeth: cause if I remember correctly, the cat 10 deluxe inside connecting rooms were all together on deck 2.

I have a question for you all. I need to add on insurance. Hubby is active duty military and things seem to be changing rapidly. He is NOT SUPPOSED to be deployed in May - but things do change. Did you guys get insurance from your TA or somewhere like insuremytrip.co? :confused3

We have always used insuremytrip.com for insurance. The prices on there were very reasonable. However, we have never had to file a claim, but I have read of others that have used them and never had a problem.

Hope you all are having a good week! We are getting ready for school to start here.

I also used insuremytrip.com. You need to do it soon after booking to waive some restrictions.

Hi! I was kinda worried about insuremytrip. We better not have to use it either! If he cant go, we might just have to cry then.....go without him. :smooth:

Getting ready for school here also. We start on Aug. 4th. Man, I hate these school supplies lists! :furious:

August 4th! That is so early. My kids start on Aug. 22nd. They have just under four weeks left. I always thought that was on the early side. When we lived in New York they didn't start until closer to Labor Day. Of course, they didn't get out until the end of June. Here, they finish the 3rd week of May. I always hate it when the kids have to go back. I enjoy having them around during the summer and like the relaxation - no homework, no early bedtime, no activity practices etc. And it just kind of means they're one year older.

Aug 4th --YIPEE....

Only My lil princess will be in Kindergarten (dont know if I should cry or jump for joy) I know I will cry as I walk her to school.

We only get 2 months out from school for summer. We live on post and my kids go to a DODDES school (military schools). We have the same amount of days as public schools because the military schools have more days off that public schools do not get.

Back to these school supplies, in between school uniforms and washable markers...how do they expect me to save for my DISNEY CRUISE? Dont they know whats is more important? :rotfl2:

Last thing, my DS wants to know if they do the lanyard (pin trading) thing on the cruise. (I have no idea why they still like those things).

I think they did have pin trading meets on our last cruise in January. I'm sure someone on here will know for sure... I know they did have pins cause we bought several.

My youngest is also going to Kindergarten. My neighbor was hitting me up yesterday to watch their youngest and I was thinking NO WAY! This is the first time in almost nine years I can go to the grocery store, run errands, do laundry, clean the house and go walking - alone! I'm sure the thrill will wear off quickly, though when I realize my baby is no longer a baby. :(

They start on the 14th and will get out the Friday before our cruise. :woohoo:

We start on Aug. 8 here and I have to be back on Aug. 2, my birthday. Happy Birthday to me!! :rotfl: We get out the Thursday before the cruise. They said that next year the law that just passed is not going to allow a start date before the third Monday in Aug.

I should have more info on the Radisson group in the next week or so. I got an email from the person on cruise critic and he is still working on it. So, please let me know if you are interested so I can email him and let him know how many we have interested. My email is jrchastain@alltel.net.
