May 27th 2007 Wonder Cruise. Anyone else on it?

Hi Judy,

We have stayed with 5 in a suite, us, our daughter, and my parents. The shuttle does multiple trips. You sign up for a time when you check in. I should know more details about the group space tomorrow. He is suppose to finalize the info tomorrow and email me. I will post when he does.

Have you all booked airfare yet? I checked prices and they are $402 rt from L.A.! That is so high! I sure hope that price goes down.

We usually don't buy ours until March. We can usually get round trip tickets for about $150.00 from the midwest to fl. Southwest isn't even booking past Dec. Nik's Mom, I just noticed you were from West Covina. I grew up outside Ontario. I went to school at UCR. Judy

Not booking airfare until we book OKW for the first part of the trip. Will probably use the miles plus money deal from Virgin. Probably looking at around £800 ($1400) for the 2 of us but hopefully a little cheaper.

I know we were checking on airfare when we were looking at a cruise out of FLL. The airfare was too expensive, we decided to leave out of somewhere we can drive to. It is only about a 6 and a half hour drive to Port Canaveral from Columbia.

OT: POTC 3 is slated to open on May 25th, 2007. I wonder if they'll be playing it on the cruise??? That would be cool!

Hi Shan Welcome Aboard.
Which Cat have you booked?

Wow to see POTC 3 on the cruise would really be something. Can you imagine the queues to get in though ouch.

I see we share the same home BCVs :thumbsup2 Are you staying in Disney pre-cruise?

We're booked in a cat 9 and I already have a specific stateroom booked. This will be our second cruise. We were on the 3 night Wonder last January. My girls LOVED it so we booked another cruise. This will be a surprise for them like the last one (We told them at Christmas last time.). I'm not sure when I'll tell them for this trip. We will drive down Saturday cause their last day of school is that Friday. I don't know where we're staying yet. I was thinking about that Ron John Resort...

Small world! I head out to Ontario occationally to hit their outlet mall! :teeth:

I guess I'll do like you all and hold out on airfare. Sure hope it drops!

Have any of you booked a hotel for the night before our cruise? OMG, I started looking around last night and so far every hotel I've checked is quoting way more than what I read the average rate was. Then it dawned on me this morning... It is Memorial Day weekend!

I posted some rates on page 2 for the Radisson Resort at the Port. I found a group on Cruisecritic that are going on the Mariner of the Seas, it leaves on the same day as the Wonder, they are going to get a block of rooms there. The guy leading it up is suppose to finalize the details next week. Just let me know if you are interested.

I was able to book the Hyatt MCO for $161 for Saturday 5/26 using our AAA card. That was the cheapest rate that I could get.

You guys got me nervous! I just booked the Hyatt and was able to get the $161 AAA rate as well. Thanks for the heads up!

Things book quickly on Memorial Day Weekend. We cruised the same weekend this year and I couldn't find a hotel in Cape Canaveral when I tried booking two months before the cruise. Next year I'll be booking early.

We like to stay at the Radisson for the shuttle and being able to look out the window at the ship the next morning. :goodvibes We have also stayed at Ron Jons when it first opened. It was very nice but it is way too expensive and I think you have to pay extra for the shuttle.

Randi, I'm interested in the Radisson if it is not too late. What do I need to do? We'd want the standard room. You can PM me. I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

Hey Nik's Mom, Ontario Mills Mall is fun. I haven't lived in Southern California for several years. My mother still lived there so I would shop at the mall when I visited her. I've live in the midwest now and she moved here last year to be closer to her grandkids. Now that I don't have an excuse to visit S. Cal I'm not sure when I'll get out west again.

Hi Shan!

I will PM you when I get the final details. Tim, the guy from cruisecritic that is heading up the group booking is suppose to finalize the details this week with the Radisson.
