Another reason why vikki and I do not like getting off the ships recently. The ports have become insane and unsafe. Most of the time we get off the ship go to the shops we have visited over the years and then go back. Or if we do a port adventure, it is with the ship. The only exception is when we are in American ports or in English speaking ports.

Isn't that just the craziest story. Here the poor guy was trying to do the right thing and do right by the men that he hit and the treat him that way and increase the amount of money that he wanted. Sadly, he would have been better off when he went to pick up his family to just head back to the pier and returned the rental car. If I had never heard that story, I would have done the exact same thing as him, but after hearing it I just don't know what I would do if I was put in that situation.

I hate to not get off the boat in the ports, but I will definitely be more aware and prepared and not be as risky. Especially in Mexico.

This will be my and DH's third Disney cruise! The first two were on the Magic. I can't wait to go on the Fantasy next year. DH is looking forward to the Aquaduck. We will be traveling with my sister, her DH, 2 DD's, her exchange student and mother, and my mom! My sister Kellymb is already on the fe list and has talked me into it. I need ideas for gifts though so I'm off to search the disboards!

Well I just paid off our cruise in Sept!! gotta love travelling to PA and buying gift cards at the grocery store and getting free gas in return.

We are off to Hawaii tomorrow night.... our big family trip of the year!

when I get back, I will start working on FEs again.. I can not find my folder anywhere with the list of names/ cabins, so I might have to bug everyone again for their info!!

Hi all -

Other than posting on the roll call a while back, I've just been lurking. It's really exciting though to see the Minnie statue and all the new details on the Fantasy that have been released! I can't wait to cruise!

Last week we vacationed in Orlando and I picked up some DCL gift bags at the outlet mall. I also found a DCL pin at DTD. We booked in January but aren't telling our girls until Christmas. It's so hard not to talk about it!

My plan is to give them the gift bags with stuff for the cruise at Christmas. Besides the DCL pin I also have little ankle bracelet and toe ring sets I found at the Justice outlet. I think I'll get a waterproof disposable camera and some other stuff (maybe new beach towels?), but I need ideas. This is our 1st cruise so we won't have the Castaway Club lanyards yet, but something like that in the bag would be nice. I've seen some on ebay. I also know some DISers have them coming out of their ears if anyone wants to donate any Not sure if I'm going to do autograph books this time (we have so many signatures from WDW already).

What other ideas can you think of for my bags?

Also, I want to print up cute "boarding" passes for the cruise and have them unwrap those to announce that we are going. If you've done this already and have a good template to share I'd be grateful. Why recreate the wheel when you don't have to - KWIM?

Everyone stay cool - it's been high 90's here for days. St. Louis heat and humidity - ugh!

I have a bunch of the lanyards!! and they are just sitting in our drawer!!

I all ready offered to give the ones we are getting in Sept away !! I am not a huge fan of CC ones. ( the DVC ones are alot softer.) I have a silver one up for grabs in May too!

I think beach towels are a great idea. dont know how old your girls are.. but maybe Princess flip flops?

I have a bunch of DCL postcards too!

WOW Val, a trip to Hawaii, how amazing!! My mom is going for Thanksgiving to stay at Aulani.

I am not telling my kids until next Easter. I am loading there baskets up with new bathing suits, beach towels, goggles, I want to try and find the Mickey they have on CC. Haley got the Minnie on our cruise in September and has been asking for the matching Mickey ever since we got off. I am not sure what else yet!!

I love the boarding pass idea, how adorable. You can always check the Magnet thread and see if one of the DISers have created one.

Booked our 2nd cruise in May and am AMAZED at how many people have already booked! My DH allows me my Disney obsession...to a point. But he didn't have the best experience on our last Disney cruise (not Disney's fault!), so we haven't been on another one since 2004. He also does not like to repeat vacations. He likes to see different parts of our world. So we went to Hawaii last year for our 20th anniversary. I, of course, wanted to go back. He did not, so I get my 2nd Disney cruise on the Disney Fantasy! We met some AWESOME DISers on our last cruise and can't wait to make some more DISfriends! Please add us to the roll call. Now to start paying for this trip!

Is there going to be a limit on the group size? I just don't think I could make a huge amount of the gift I have in mind. I have read other thread where the FE group is 100 people. That would just be way too expensive to give a nice gift to everyone.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I was going to let the FE list go for awhile and see how many are interested. We only had 25 cabins on our last cruise. (62 when I did it in 08). If the number starts to really grow, I will split the list!
