I had noticed that someone was wondering how they are scheduling the dining reservations for Remy and Palo. I am sailing on the Dream in June and this is what it says when you go to book, "Please note that you may reserve only one Remy dinner and one Palo dinner, High Tea and Brunch during your cruise. If you add other adult Guests to your Palo or Remy reservations, they will be unable to book Palo or Remy for themselves." I am a silver castaway and was on at midnight on the 90 day mark and was unable to book anything but a dinner at Palo on the pirate night and it was the first thing that I was trying to book. I was really hoping to be able to eat there for our 15th anniversary. The server then crashed from around 12:10- sometime the next morning.

Welcome Capntavis!! You did the Mexican Riveria? Who will be traveling with you?

Yes we did the Mexican Riveria. We wanted to try out the West Coast. I think we like the East Coast much better. Its warmer and there is more to see. Plus we dive on our cruises and the water was 65 degrees on the West Coast. It was so cold that on the first plung it stole your breath away!

As always I have my wife Laura and my son Connor with me.

I am considering the dolphin encounter for Grand Cayman. Still not sure about that or the stingray city?? Stingray city looks like a lot of fun.

We did stingray city before we started diving, but we went through a local company called Fat Fish I believe. It was awesome because we rode Seadoo's out there instead of being herded onto one boat!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Easter Sunday!!

Beautiful day here in Atlanta. I can't wait until next year's Easter, that is when I am telling the kids about the cruise!!

Your kids dont know about the cruise? wow! that is an awesome surprise!!

It was a beautiful day in Atlanta... ( I got a convertible mustang for my bday on Sat.... :) so we had fun taking it out this weekend!) :thumbsup2

Its the five day.

My oldest daughters really good friend will be on the ship with you too. :)

When you board the ship, try and get reservations for Remy and Palo brunch!! :) -- not sure where the location is now on the Dream. and if you eat at Remy, you will have to tell us all about it!

We were just in California last week and I agree with you. As much as the Pacific is gorgeous and definitely scenic that water is COOOLD. I much prefer the Atlantic with it's warmer waters.

That excursion looks awesome. It is on my list of possibilities, the only thing that has it moved down a bit is because of my DD she will be 5 almost 6 for the cruise and I am not sure she could do the seadoo's. The eco outrage looks like a ton of fun as well, but the $400 price tag has that moved down a bit also. Did you son do the seadoo's? How old was he, if so?

Happy Birthday!!!

It was gorgeous here wasn't it, what a great way to spend the weekend!

No I haven't told the kids about the cruise, they want to go back so bad I didn't think I could handle a year of when are we going? Is it time yet? :rotfl2:

I decided I would tell them next year with there baskets and there baskets would be full of cruise items, sand pails with some toys, new bathing suits, new flip flops, snorkeling, etc.

I want to do a scavenger hunt for the baskets and find a way to tell them about the cruise. I thought it would be a lot of fun, and that way we would be at the 30 day mark :woohoo: They will be so excited.

wow, we couldnt keep a secret that long!! We surprised the kids with a trip to Disney last year... ( and we have surprised them with a resort upgrade.) It was hard keeping the secret for 3 weeks.. let alone over a year!! they figured out Disney pretty easy since we were driving.. they knew south was the beach or Disney.. north is Pittsburgh.

I think the it's easier to keep the secret then endure the nagging that I would get. Especially with Haley. She still has no concept of time, and would ask me everyday, multiple times per day when we would be going back on the Mickey Boat and is it soon??

I think they both know we have booked it and we are going again, they just don't know when. They have seen me looking at excursions and such. So it's not a complete secret, except for the timing.

It's rather funny how right now they are both saving there money for the Mickey Boat. Haley got 3 dollars and a "million coins" (It was actually $5 in coins) in her Easter eggs, but she asked if she could put it in her Mickey Boat jar!! :lovestruc

No my son was 3 at the time we left him on the ship. I'm not sure what the age cut off would be for riders. When we went it was nothing but adults.

Unfortunately Mitch will not consider leaving the kids on the boat while we did an excursion. He is afraid something could happen to one of them and we would not be there. Thank you for letting me know it was all adults, that definitely helps in the decision making. Are you planning on doing the same excursion for this cruise?

Is it AND or OR. According to that it seems like you could book one of each!

I am sorry to hear you could not get the reservations you were looking for. Definitely let me know if you get them once on board. I have read a few different places to book the reservations on board. I have read at the restaurant themselves and also at one of the clubs/ lounges. Not sure which.

If you do do Remy, please let us know what you think of it.

Now keep in mind we didnt do the excursion that Disney offers so I'm not sure how many kids went on that one. We will not be doing that excursion. We will do the 2 tank dive offered in Grand Cayman and probably the 2 tank dive on Cozymel.

Okay we just got off the Dream 4/17 cruise and are thinking about this Western Fantasy Memorial day cruise....I'm having a hard time justifying the expense. We are usually every two year cruisers but don't think I can wait that long:confused3. Help convince me:)

Yes we got the surprise double dip:cool1: the second day was better on CC because not as many people went ashore that day:). I know the prices are probably only going to go up if i keep waiting to pull the trigger.

how many are in your party? we live in Ga so school is done May 25, so this is the kick off to our summer!! (and its my sons bday....didnt think we would ever get to go on a cruise in the "summer" but the prices were not bad... we booked when we sailed in Sept.)

dont know where you live... but certain grocery stores in PA, OH area offer free gas for buying Disney cards. (and then you get 1 to 5 % for using your credit card.) We stock up on Disney cards when we visit home. ( Pittsburgh)

There are 4 of us. We live in NC and school will still be in session but all EOG testing will be over so we thought it would not be a bad time to miss 4 days. I should have booked on board.

I will let you know what we decide. Thank you.

I know the prices have already gone up since we booked in October, and the inside cabins are pretty limited if even still available. My recommendation would be to book it while you are thinking about it and worse case scenerio cancel it before the deadline. At least then you have locked in the rate!!

We are in GA also, we are driving down, and same as Magic3forme, it kicks off our summer vacation. Plus what has us book this date was the fact that Memorial Day falls during the trip so one less vacation day to use :cool1:
