Thanks Val!! Ours is correct and I replied by email to keep all your info in one place :)

Our cruise is nearly here. We are quite excited. I've started to worry about leaving my doggie though. The family we were going to board her with, is now going to be out of town that same week....I'll have to figure something out.

I know what you mean. My son is supposed to keep my two little dogs, but they do get on his nerves a lot and with their long hair they need brushing almost daily and I don't think they will let him do it like I can. My groomer was panicky when she thought they would come in after our trip all matted so she said, I will keep them for free! As it gets closer I will let my son decide if he is really into keeping them or if I need to let my other son and daughter in law do it. Really want them to stay at home and have their beds and routine.

We havent had a question for the week for awhile..so

What is the best packing tip you have learned?
I have 2) disposbale pajamas and clothes...if you have any old pjs you are ready to part with, take them along and simply toss them out.. it leaves space in your suitcase.

~ ziploc bags! I packed my sons clothes in them when he was little, he could just grab a bag and know what to wear that day... and the ziploc bags are great to keep FE gifts in!

Good ideas! My tip is to pack enough for half the week and bring 3-in-1 laundry sheets to wash everything half way thru the trip. Then you only need to bring half the amount of clothes you need.

Also, pack a nightlight and a watch. We have learned to bring a nightlight everywhere we go and learned from our last cruise to pack a watch.

Mine is probably to try to wear things twice, if possible. For instance, a pair of black capris can be worn with a blouse & sandals for casual dinner in the dining rooms, but another day with a t-shirt and flip-flops in port.

Khaki capris & nice blouse for Palo Brunch, worn again later in the week with a tank top on an excursion.

I have one really nice black skirt that I wear on both Formal & Semi-Formal night, with 2 different blouses.

And, to realize that most of the time during the day is spent in swimsuits & cover-ups.

My first cruise I WAY overpacked, because I brought 2 outfits per day, and then some. I came home with a ton of clean clothes that were never worn.

Oh, and for shoes, I've learned that a couple of basic pairs are just perfect!!

They would indeed prefer their beds and routine at home. I hope he comes through for you and decides to devote time/attention to them  .

For those of you that are in guarantee status, what categories are you guaranteed?? In 8 cruises, we've never been in guarantee, we've always had a specific room. And, we've never received an upgrade either, not that I ever expect it either.

I just wonder which categories that people are guaranteed for.

Were VGT. This is my first time with a gty and I'm trying not to obsess as to where my room might be .... I mean, really, as long as I'm on the ship it really doesn't matter all that much. But, with 4 of us in one room, it sure would be nice to have one of the slightly larger family staterooms.

Hey! Im sailing on the Disney Fantasy May 26, 2012 and really would like to have a pen pal! Im 14 years old and sailing with my mom and 2 sisters. Reply if anybody is interested! Thanks!! :)

Welcome!!! Tell us about yourself. Boy? Girl? Will you be in the Edge or Vibe?

I did it again, missed a whole week on the boards and 2 pages worth of reading!! Love catching up on all the chats.

My countdown for the cruise has been by the number of issues we have left, I print 1 in 2 weeks and then the last one I print the Tuesday before we leave. I am so excited to get these done and get on the ship.

I decided this week to launch our facebook page in Atlanta for my company :sad2: that has been way more work then I thought. So I apologize for those of you that sent me pm's regarding the lanyards, but I did respond and send everyone back the information that they requested.

Tomorrow is the deadline for FE and lanyards, just in case anyone wants to sneak in at the last minute.

It is sooo exciting to read about people leaving on the Maiden Voyage today. I really need to get to work on my FE and packing list, and of course EBAY!! Oh ya I need to lose a few pounds :rolleyes1

A recent tip I came across for the cruise was to packing black leggings and a few different tunics and tops. I also packed way to much on our last cruise and will definitely be trying to trim down the suitcases this trip. I will be bringing an over the door organizer though. Last time we kept everything on the table in the room and it was a mess everytime we ordered room service.

We have 2 rooms for our family of 5. They are both VGT. If they aren't adjacent, then we will bring our kiddie cot along for one of the boys to use and pile in one of the rooms. I'm with you tho....just excited to be on the ship.

DD and I went to hobby lobby thirs pm and picked out the materials for our FE. Planning to make it tonight when I put the boys to bed since DH is at a hockey game. Then I will have to figure out the FE gifts. So much to do!

Ziplocs are one of my favorite packing tips! I also am sure to bring the pharmacy with me! :rotfl: However I don't want to do laundry on one of my only days of vacation! If I were from overseas and here for more than a week or any vacation for 2 weeks then I'd do laundry!

I started sewing my FE on Tuesday. On Wednesday, my sewing machine broke AWWWWW! :headache:So, after calling a repair shop, I was told it could take 6 weeks to get fixed. I may end up sewing the rest of it by hand - which is only the bias tape along all four sides and the bottom of one pocket.
I wish you, and all the others, better luck with your sewing machine!

Oh, no....no sewing machine here.:goodvibes I have plenty of fabric glue tho. :rotfl: I really would LOvE to learn to sew, but haven't found a place to learn or the time. Soon, I hope!
I hope you get your machine back soon!

Great idea! I never thought about fabric glue! And the good thing I have a bottle of it!:cool1: Thanks!!!!! I think you just lowered my stress factor.. This is another good reason why I love this forum.

I'm like Disneymagicgirl. No sewing machine just the fabric glue and heat n bond. That is how I made my last one and am doing this one.
Got part of it cut out, but have not gotten much further as of yet.

I am like you, laundry on vacation is never part of my plan!! Hence the overpacking syndrome..

Myself (25) and My Girlfriend (22) will be on this cruise. Anyone around the same age going? Maybe we could meet up for a drink in Europa

No sure if we'll do laundry on the cruise but we're going to BLT for a week afterward so we'll do laundry Sat or Sun at the resort. We have some of those wash and dry sheets in our owners locker and they make it pretty simple.

Verify,
I tried sending you a message on Facebook, but I guess you do not use Facebook often. I can not PM on dis boards or enter an email address because I do not have enough posts. I would still like to participate in the lanyards, but communication seems to be the issue. You can send me paypal info on Faceook, I am Cherie Harvey. That may work.
