Bandaids also have Blister bandaids. They are great!!! very squishy and have rounded edges and stay on great. I do 5k's and my DD does Marathons (why?) half-marathons (again, WHY?) and 5k's and has used them very successfully. They are in a silver paper bandaid box.

Only two more working days...Mon and Tues...if I live thru them. I am an RN in a busy High Risk OB setting....I think we saw half of the pregnant women in the OC yesterday and will see more on Mon and Tues. I may just be looking like the night of the living dead by the time we leave.
Packing, Manicure/pedicure, last minute shopping, cleaning the house for DD's party tonite, AHHHH I can only imagine the 'drink of the day' as soon as we get on board. oh, the life.

I have all those same things to do coupled with the OMG How am I going the get this all done in time feeling.... so someone please explain why I felt compelled to go to WDW this morning for a few hours with DD??? It did give us quality time together - something that has been lacking due to an insane work schedule, but still ..... We are getting excited ... see everyone soon.

I have all those same things to do coupled with the OMG How am I going the get this all done in time feeling.... so someone please explain why I felt compelled to go to WDW this morning for a few hours with DD??? It did give us quality time together - something that has been lacking due to an insane work schedule, but still ..... We are getting excited ... see everyone soon.

Yesterday we talked about a day at the kingdom for today or tomorrow but we are having a HUGE (huge meaning 2-3x BIGGER than our house) Live Oak cut down in the front yard. Tree was starting to show signs of splitting and with hurricane season a few weeks away we want to be safe and get ti taken care of. Every year I sit and shake when the wind blows for fear it will crash on the house! Last year a palm fell in the wind and a few bigger branches from the oak.

So needless to say they didn't finish the tree yesterday so I am sitting here watching them hack it apart with chain-saws. I think this may have been better than Disney??? At least DS thinks watching the tree guy repel out of the tree every so often is pretty "awesome".


Well, best of wishes to those still packing... we just have diaper bag and DH carry-on to finish. All the clothes are laid out for Wed morning.

DH has a business mtg at Artists Point tuesday night (lucky turkey!!! -- it is Copper River Salmon time!!!!! NO FAIR!!!) and then we are ready to go.

I told DH that as soon as I was done catching up it would be time to start packing!!

Got the hair cuts and color today!! Bought the last pair, I hope for DD and the Airborne. My sister finished and gave the fish extender, goodies are in the mail to arrive Monday. Need to do something about a door sign!

I am so ready- I could be set to go in an hour! Yeah right!!

Lori- For a 2 yr old watching a tree be cut down is as exciting as DW. You dont get to see that every day

Is it ok to pass out goodies on first day (26th)? Or is a better idea to wait until say 27th?

And for those of you who are going out before Thursday, I think for the first time, Im jelous!!

Gas?? That can really, really hurt and comes and goes and the pain can radiate- and your colon does wrap all around your abdomen. Who knows?? It's better to be safe, than sorry.



I am VERY, VERY Eastern friendly. I grew up in Utah and we love to mix the old with the new there. Have her send it over...I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm willing to try anything/everything. Things from India I use: neti pot (no comments from the peanut gallery) and I can tread my eyebrows. I was planning on having hubby draw on me with henna prior to leaving as a tempory tattoo, but with everything going on, I probably won't have time.

Ok, got the ingredients. 1 to 1 salt and tumeric. mix with just enough water to make a thick paste. About the consistency of a thick pancake batter. Slather it on and wrap it up. Now, do remember, tumeric is a very goldenrod color and it is permanent. Use lots of gauze, old, unwanted tshirts or wrap it in anything thay you don't mind turning BRIGHT golden. watch out for the sheets, too. It'll ruin them also. You can use this 24/7, but when it dries out, that's when the real mess starts....very powdery. She also gave me another packet of something that her mom gave her from India. it is again mixed with water and slathered on. The only thing that Rita said is beware! IT STINKS!!
She even asked her mom if it had cow dung in it!!! Funny thing, tho, Chandra didn't answer her. Just don't mix with hot water....it reeks.
One other suggestion if you want the heat to go to the site, my old Vietnamese manicurist....I can't find her anymore...poof ...gone, had me try aomething when my chronic tendonitis in my wrist and thumb (DeQuervaine's disease..so not fatal) reared its ugly might. Shave some fresh ginger..or grate it, wrap that all around what ails you and shake salt, enough to coat it, and then wrap saran wrap around it. BEWARE...it gets REALLY hot. Sure took care of the tendonitis super fast. Now, there is your international naturopathic remedies at their best!!!

Because you are smart. You needed down time and you took it! you'll feel better for it. I have half of one suitcase packed....what a monumentous task. I just had to leave it be for a while....rapid battery charger yep, photo viewer, yep, photo printer with paper and ink..yep, imodium, benadryl, antibiotics, transderm scop, yep, oh, some clothes and shoes, too. Now..the second suitcase and then finish up the carryon.
oh well, our son and dd-in-law are on their way over to take DH and me out for Mother's day. A great Italian restaurant...figured that we better get used to it!

You didn't miss it. I don't drink. The not so virgin club comes from the fact that I have 4 kids.....unless.....dum dum dum....it was immaculate conception.
