Jenn had hers done last weekend ... ;)

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!

I was just starting to type my response...No! DD called from school and wanted a folder she left for a class she had to teach to her classmates. I told her I couldn't come until the passports were here.

Then.....:wizard:

I hear a truck.....I jump out of my seat.....torn between typing the message that the FedEx truck was here and going out to hug him....:rotfl2:

So, I quickly signed for them (I haven't even opened them yet!), and came back to give the good news.

Thanks for the Pixie Dust!:wizard: This did not fit into my OCPD life!:lmao:

Now I feel like I'm really going on this trip :woohoo:

One less thing to have nightmares about!  :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :cool1: :cool1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's been very quiet, where is everyone? Packing? Cleaning? :cool1:

Working. This new job has me really busy. Longer than 12 hour days. I even worked a few hours this morning. Now that I'm starting the go-to-bed early, get-up early routine for the time change, I was already on the computer at 5:30AM!

Should slow down though. Monday is a work day for me, but I finished all the work I'm aware of to leave Monday open for emergencies. My boss has already said to just take the day to pack. Other than a meeting from 10:30 to 11:30, I have nothing planned!

The rest of this weekend will be spent cleaning up, packing, etc. FINALLY get to focus on the trip!

Sue

We're laughing as we read the last few posts--we are getting haircuts this morning too, and then figuring out what we are packing!

That is the weekend project, to be packed and ready by Monday so we aren't frantic the last couple evenings.

We're also shipping the cat off to her "grandma and grandpa" today...she loves staying at grandma and grandpa's kitty resort and spa (thank goodness!)

BTW, I called DCL last night when I was trying to input my flight info online (no international airports are in the dropdown list; it's not set up for the Med cruises) and was told not to bother, that they would just have transfers running all day long from the airport, and they would figure out the return stuff when we got there. In case anyone has run into the same thing ...

Happy packing! :)

So since this trip is almost here and a year of planning and anticipation is ending, I started thinking about when to book the next trip while onboard for the discount and credits. If you book more than 1 room, can they be keyed the same? I was thinking of a cat 5 and a cat 11 on the same floor, splitting the kids and DH & I to add a second shower (DD is 13 so her shower time is about the same as the rest of us combined) and drawer space and all and the cost is only slightly more than the 4 of us in 1 cat 5. I need to be able to get into either room though.

Thanks for letting me ramble. It was 1:00 AM when I typed that, now 7:00 AM. I got 6 hours sleep, my brain is now functioning and I realize that I need to get some things done! Now if only DH would do hit honeydo list!

 :woohoo: :woohoo: We leave in 3 days!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

They won't key it the same, they'll just give you a KTTW card for their room and a KTTW card for your room to them. You might see if they have connecting rooms. That was nice for us so that the kids could go back and forth and we could check on them without going into the hallway.

Sorry you will have to have a Key for each room!!!

We did in January when we stuck 4 kids in one cabin...

But just go to GS and they will give them to ya...

I have done 2 loads of laundry already, booked our flights from Barcelona to Madrid, booked hotel in Madrid and made breakfast and it's only 10AM!!! I'm so proud of myself ;) We got our haircuts this week, so, that we didn't have to go today.I got our cruise pack ready:
Benadryl,Advil,Excedrin,Tums,Bonine,Immodium, vitamins, bandaids and my latest addition Airborne (great idea, thanks!!)

We still have to do our online check-in and finish packing (DH is all set).

My mom is coming in at 2P to pick up our house keys, she will be doggie sitting for us. She actually stays in my house with my grandmother and takes care of my babies, my dogs love her.Grandma will be taking care of DH's plants, we grow our own basil, tomatoes and parsley. We are very lucky that they able to do this while we travel. They are both getting a really nice gift :goodvibes

At this pace, I'm gonna be exhausted by 3pm!! ;)

Has anyone seen the photos of the merchandise that Michelle posted on her repo trip report? The shawls are beautiful.

If you're going on any long walking excursions, you might also want to toss in a packet of Moleskin in case of blisters. It works a whole lot better than band-aids. Just remember to bring a small pair of scissors to cut it into needed sizes.

Morning & Happy Saturday...

I am in the office wrapping things up - mostly filing. But also making copies of pages of the cities we will be visiting from the Europe books my friends have lent me.

When I get home doing a load of "Darks" and finish packing. Sunday is jam packed. Mani/Pedi and Massage.

This time in a week we will be doing the Life Saftey Drill on the Ship!

5 days and counting till Vacation! :yay:

:rotfl: Me too! Haircut and highlights on Weds., then pick up dry cleaning, pick up dress from tailor, get pedicure...and in the meantime :laundy: ,iron, pack meds, pack jewelry, DIS gifts, door signs, fish extender, and oh yeah clothes and shoes.:rotfl2: I'm even hoping to work in a day at the :beach: tomorrow. Oh, and I completely agree about coming home with a bag every day. At this point I've gotten pretty good at quietly :ssst: getting them into my walk in closet without any notice. I'm soooo excited only 2 more work days for me! Can't wait to meet everyone in Europe! Let's get this party started! :drinking1 ps-Thank you :flower3: Camille for the :teacher: ! --Karen

I know these questions have probably been answered a hundred times. What are people doing in marseille(SP) We were told because it was sunday not many things open before noon or not at all.so we booked the excursion that left in the afternoon What about everyone else.

Band-Aid now has a product specifically for Blisters in a silver & blue box. I've used it recently and it seemed to work pretty well. I'm definitely buying a box to take with us.

We are booked on the "Arles & The Olive Oil Mills of Les Baux" excursion. :stir: It includes a "three course lunch" in the olive oil mill. Yum yum. :cloud9:

We were booked on two excursions - Calanques of Cassis and Marseille and Historic Santons. They cancelled our one in the afternoon. SO... I got annoyed with DCL and booked a car instead. Not sure exactly where we're going, but I'll probably hit Aix (if it's not too dead) and then on to Avignon. The Pope's Palace and bridge are open on Sunday all day, so there will be plenty to keep us busy. They even have a wine tasting room so Nana and I will be able to try a little bit. I'm hoping it's late enough/been warm enough that the lavender is in bloom. We may take the scenic route back just to see it.

Bandaids also have Blister bandaids. They are great!!! very squishy and have rounded edges and stay on great. I do 5k's and my DD does Marathons (why?) half-marathons (again, WHY?) and 5k's and has used them very successfully. They are in a silver paper bandaid box.
:upsidedow
Only two more working days...Mon and Tues...if I live thru them. I am an RN in a busy High Risk OB setting....I think we saw half of the pregnant women in the OC yesterday and will see more on Mon and Tues. I may just be looking like the night of the living dead by the time we leave. :guilty:
Packing, Manicure/pedicure, last minute shopping, cleaning the house for DD's party tonite, AHHHH I can only imagine the 'drink of the day' as soon as we get on board. oh, the life.
See y'all in a week.....I can hardly wait! Mari
