Pepperpike-joe,shirley,nancy are in this room. They swithed us because 7040 and 7042 are connecting rooms. Joe

So TreasureIsland are in 7040 and 7042? I knew there had to be a logical reason

Hello everyone (esp Holiday Fanatic) We are two families travelling on the 26th May med cruise. I have to admit that i have been reading the posts for weeks and the advice and tips are great and i have only just got my butt around to registering. This will be our very first cruise and for one family thier first disney experience so here's hoping it a good one!!

we are

Pugh Family - DW, DH DD age 8 DS age 2 ( celebrating our wedding anniversary in style whilst cruising in monte carlo)

Robinson family - DW DH DD age 10 and DD age 5

Looking forward to the trip we will no doubt cross paths on board as there are loads of you but just wanted to post to say thanks for all the fab tips and advice.

Rachel

:thumbsup2 Welcome Pughfamilycruisers (and Robinsons)

I knew there had to be more of us out there :rotfl:

Isn't this board great, I'd have been completely clueless if I hadn't have stumbled upon it. I learn a bit more every day! Which is just as well as there wasn't much info. in the document pack. When did you book your cruise and how did you find out about it? It isn't advertised anywhere is it?

I'm sure we're all going to have a fab. time:goodvibes

OK - the last work day is done! Out to dinner and then home for the final packing. We leave for LAX in the morning and then Barcelona on Saturday - taking the slow way. :rotfl2:

See you all in Barcelona on the 25th and/or the 26th!

Hi Everyone...

Regarding the wrist bands; if you emailed or PM'ed me within the past 2 weeks, please accepted my apologies as I did not send them out. You may not have noticed but we have had some problems with my inlaws and them cancelling at the last minute. We also came very close to not getting DD's passport in time ( we are sailing this Sat.) So between facing two almost catastophes, I did not send the wristbands. I will have them at the DIS meeting or you may come find me and post a message on my door (room 7119) and I will deliver them to you.

Again please accept my apologies..:flower3:

Hello,

yes there are some more brits on board. The board is great it has given me loads of tips and info and as this is our first time cruisin' then we too would have been clueless otherwise.

We booked our cruise in March and yes you are right it is not really advertised anywhere. we were lucky as I work for a large travel company so that was how I heard about it. Agree with you re the document pack and even more bizarre as we recvd our final docs yesterday, both family reservations were booked by me but when the docs came there was less in mine than in our friends??? anyway it had the all important luggage tags and i have done all paperwork online so we are all set can't wait to fly to barcelona although i pity the other people on the plane with our four adults and four children - we are not quiet!!

There are TONS of things for toddlers to do. Our son had a blast on his last cruise... he was 18 months at the time. You can always take him into the Oceaneers Club on a visitors pass. You have to stay with him the entire time but there are a LOT of things to do. Best to check the schedules or ask the staff their to see when the best times to go in are.
Our son loved coloring and doing crafts with the bigger kids. Not to mention climbing the little sea-life sculptures. He danced on stage too!

The nice thing about most of the rooms is the pull across curtain. DH would stay in the room and read and whatnot and I would go to shows...then switch off... Our son will try to stay up late with the adults too...so don't worry. Usually I wear out before him! :)

The splash pool is open late, the movies... We enjoy RUNNING down the halls...every hall...at LEAST 10 times. There are lots of windows to look out too. We were ultra nervous last time about balcony time... but he did well.

I bet your kiddo wears out and will sleep just fine. We requested both a port-a-crib and bedrails. He is in a toddler bed at home but I doubt he will want to sleep in a big bed on the ship...so we got the crib just in case! :)

Disney with a little tot is actually fun! :)

Oh yeah, our son REALLY enjoyed the towel animals... he would just giggle and make animal sounds. Ice carving was neat..and of the dances...

It should be an interesting trip....

What's your stateroom #?

-Laurie

Sounds like there will be plenty to keep DS happy and DD and the other girls will be in their element with all the other activities.

Not sure what room we are in at yet. i work for a large travel company in the UK so we have booked as agents therefore got a guarantee ctgy10 so prob deck 2 or thereabouts we will find out when we check in - it all adds to the excitment. As long as it has beds to sleep in and a bathroom to clean in it will be fine, we dont tend to spend much time in the room wherever we go.
