Congrats!! What race did you do? Did you love it? Halfs are totally fun, I love doing them. It only starts to be horrid around mile 10 and then you get jazzed between 11 and 12- because you're almost done.


I too am doing the Halloween event...

It was the Lehigh Valley Half Marathon in Allentown, PA. My daughter (who did the Mickey in January) lives in the neighboring town and she has done it the past several years so I thought it would be good training for the full. It was such a pretty course, winding around babbling brooks, waterfalls and under a covered bridge. In fact, there was so much to see, we kept missing the mile markers, which were fairly small! Plus, Nancy and I pretty much talked the whole time....so much so that we would do a hill and not even realize we were doing it. But we had both trained very hard since January so walking a 14:36 pace was fairly comfortable. Now I am so looking forward to the Mickey and being with all the WISH people.

Love the new pirates. We ordered ours a month ago and they said that the regular Disneys had been discountinued and they returned our money. So, this must be why.

Love the pirate CROCS.......I can't believe they discontinued the Mickey head ones. When we were at WDW in January, they were selling them everywhere. I got them in red with a black strap.....real Mickey colors!

My favorite excursion was the ATV tour in Cabo San Lucas during the May 2005 Panama repo.

Oh - you mean a favorite excursion for the Med cruises - I'm looking forward to Gibraltar and Rome!

Looks like a fun group - we've been to Rome -lots to do there the Vatican is a don't miss -we have booked so many tours on the ship i'm not sure what to do - its hard to figure out which ports you could tour on your on -very confused not to mention the expense

Had a lot of reading to catch up.

We're in May! Only 16 more school days for the kiddos! Sent the request for approval of education travel to school today.

Our flight info is:

5/25 USAir Flight 742 out of Philly leaving 6:25 pm arriving BCN 8:20 am
6/7 USAir Flight 743 out of BCN leaving 12:10 pm arriving PHL 3:05 on

I met a lady yesterday who just got back from Holland America repo cruise. She met her daughter (college student studying in Rome) in Rome. Her cruise stopped in Barcelona. She loved the city! She advised NOT to use the on & off bus for touring because it was expensive and other cruise passengers had to wait over an hour for a bus which wasn't full. Instead of using the on/off bus this lady recommended using the local bus system. The local bus ran about 1.60 Euros. She also said that you can see inside the Gaudi church from the little chapel on the side without paying an entrance fee.(She wasn't impressed with the church).

The pickpockets in Rome hit a man not too far from where she was standing. The guy caught the kid's hand and ended up getting his wallet back. Everyone around them started cheering. She also said that when her dh bought some gelato and the clerk tried keeping his change.
