I remember seeing that someone was organizing a gibraltar dis-tour. Since search doesn't work for me, I can't find said someone.

If you are (one of) said someone(s) and are willing to include Char and I, please PM me so I can figure out whether I can dump our DCL tours.

Dandy Andy-
You might want to post that on the other thread as none of us (well most of us) won't be going on that trip...

Wow, I'm away for one friggin' weekend and when I get home there are over 10 pages to catch up on. I thought we were the "quiet" thread!

First of all, welcome to all the newbies......the more the merrier!

About the shampoo.....it's now the H2O spa collection and it is AWESOME! I liked it so much I now buy it online all the time. It's a little pricey, but so worth it. It's my one indulgence....you will love the way it smells. The stuff is just heavenly. As someone else said, if you have an order over $100 there is no shipping charge.

Flights: we're on the same one as Peter and Jenn on 5/24; coming back we are also on Iberia leaving at 12:55pm the day we arrive at port (6/6)

I do not have a fish extender, but if I can find a cheap one on e-bay, I will go for it.

I will not have any magnetic signs as I do not have a color printer. Gifts gladly accepted!

The reason I've been gone: I COMPLETED A HALF-MARATHON YESTERDAY!!!
Nancy (from Cruistoberfest) and I completed the course together in 3:11:07. That comes out to a 14:36 pace.....not too shabby for our first event! Now onward to bigger and better things this January at WDW!

Congrats!! What race did you do? Did you love it? Halfs are totally fun, I love doing them. It only starts to be horrid around mile 10 and then you get jazzed between 11 and 12- because you're almost done.

I too am doing the Halloween event...:rolleyes1

Sue, I would do the fountains, but my flight doesn't get in until around 7pm and I don't think I'll get there by 8...:confused3 My hotel is over that way though...

Aw, nuts. I thought it would reply for the Sweet dreams... but i guess it didn't . duh. sorry:confused3

I posted this on the Med Excursions thread, but thought it may be useful here too, since we've covered this topic. This is from Frommers Travel Talk. (BTW....MQ, is a poster who is well respected, honest, and well traveled) I've searched Frommers threads for years and have never seen an editor respond. Just an FYI....

Nope, that was the reason I asked, MQ. I see comments on that company often on the Italy boards, and, frankly, many of them feel, well, "planted." I don't doubt that it's a legitimate and reliable company, but too many of the posts regarding it read like cookie-cutter descriptions, and that's what leads me to believe they're being posted either by the company reps themselves or by former customers who've they directed to do so. It's a fine line between a rec and spam.
Anyway, eyefish, if you're comfortable paying more than $300 for a personal driving service, then have at it and enjoy the extra day. Personally, I'd use some of that to splurge on an outstanding meal or three -- but travel is personal, and each makes the choice (hopefully) best for him or herself.
Also, I don't see any problems with having your luggage in the vehicle. I assume it will be attended by the driver while you're walking about Siena and San Gimignano.
I'd love to hear back from you upon your return.
Cordially,
David Lytle

Unfortunately, the majority of messages on this site recommending the company are, in fact, not legit.
Following deeper research, I discovered that entire threads and unattributed articles from Boston.com, Fodors.com, Cruisecritic.com and other travel sites were being reposted here by "ekscrunchy" (aka, Carlo, one of the drivers for Romeinlimo) and multiple other usernames. In the copied posts, where competitors' tours or drivers were named in the original post, he replaced that with his own company name and contact information. I just deleted well over 100 posts that I could verify were copied in whole from other publications. It's truly a deceptive practice pretending to be someone you're not to advertise your company or views. (In message board parlance, it's called "sockpuppetry.")
They might be good drivers -- who knows? -- but based on their practices here we unequivocally cannot recommend their business.

A freak can be a good thing! Brings back memories of high school!:hippie: :

Lisa, WELCOME ABOARD!! These people are all cool and fun!

Yeah Yeah Yeah, I was just kidding. My real answer would have been what Ken said, he beat me to it...Maybe it's a Cali thing.

No Sun Glasses but ... :cool2:

What train are we going to try to make in the morning? We are ashore tentatively @ 7:30. Looks like there is an 8:02 and an 8:41 in the morning. Coming back do we plan to leave from Roma Termini?

To Roma:

back to civitavecchia:
http://orario.trenitalia.com/b2c/Ti...timsh=18&timsm=00&lang=en&nreq=5&channel=tcom

We're meeting a walking tour so I wanted to give them the right time to meet us. I am thinking with such a large group we might be pushing it to get all our tickets and on the train by 8:02. 8:41 seems realistic though.

8:41 is likely what we will be shooting for.

You just might make it! Okay, so I know it's pushing it with checking in and all, but you never know how long we might be at the fountains! Although we're probably eating dinner AFTER the fountains since most Barcelona restaurants don't even OPEN until 8pm.

Love to see you if you can swing it!

Sue

Since no one else has said it yet:

Good morning! Another day closer to the cruise! :yay:

We leave exactly THREE weeks from today. :yay:
