I will be happy to help the:confused3 Toga-Challenged... perhaps we could do a Toga totorial 30 mins before the get-together... Bring a sheet (or other fabric) and a cord... :cool1: The togas can be more or less elaborate depending on the amount of fabric and cording you like... For most, depending on style and modesty, it takes from 1 to 3 sheets... twin size usually work best... I've seen all sorts of things used, from towels to blankets... :scared1: in any case, I'll be happy to help y'all out... :)

Awesome!!!! Thanks for volunteering to help us not-quite-so-talented people. Looking forward to the party!

Sue

Just make sure that you have the overseas phone number for the bank. As long as you can call while they are open you should be okay. The account should only get flagged once. After you've cleared up the flag, it should stay okay for the rest of the trip. I had this happen once when I lived in Colorado and went to Miami. The shut off the credit card, but I was able to contact the company immediately and get it fixed. We were then able to buy whatever it was I needed so desperately! You also might want to ask them what their hours are for this type of problem so you know in advance.

Sue

Good point....The last time we went, we didn't notify any of our cards about being overseas. I guess it's a good thing there wasn't a problem. Better safe than sorry.

Tracy, We just opened an additional savings account and put an atm card (but with no visa) on it. They say it is always safe to have an account not attached to the rest of your accounts that have all of your information. In other words, all of your identity. I have an ATM that has no Visa on it and it worked all over Italy. If the card was stolen, it would be useless to anyone else. If it has a Visa on it, it can be used as a credit and it doesn't matter if the have the PIN.

Now...if I can just convince 83 yo Grandma not to bring her purse much less her 75 credit cards. :scared1: Anyone have any ideas on how to convince her there is no Costco there so she won't need that card? :lmao:

Hey everyone! Today I was able to get a sneak peak at some of the stuff that Dreams Unlimited has made for their clients for this cruise. All I can say is OMG!!!!!!! I wish I was still a client LOL! Luckily, I'm going to get a few extras of these things so I can use them as door prizes too at the Sweet Dreams and Sweet Treats party.  :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think the extras should go to "future" DU clients!
You know who they are! :thumbsup2

Big scoop here!

I just heard about the new entertainment planned for our cruise!!

A bit of it is hype, but it sounds good. There will be three new theater productions (only one in my count).

When Mickey Dreams

Mickey Mouse's dreams come to life in this production. There will be cirque-like acts and a nightmare with Malificent.

The Art of the Story

For those on the 10 and 11 night Wonder, this was one of the shows. Hopefully they tweaked it a bit (I talked to a guy in entertainment from Celebration and he said they were going to). Acts from Moulan, Tarzan, Beauty & the Beast, Lion King and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Ducky Williams and others explain how a story comes to life.

On the Nose

Also premiered on the 10 and 11 night Wonder. This was a game show where the audience was divided up into sections and we answered trivia questions with prizes awarded to the winning sections. This was a hard game to play if your section was spread out. You were seated in certain sections, but if the people in your section weren't together, you couldn't discuss the answers at all. I hope they revamped this a bit as well.

We will also have a Mediterranean Deck Party which will highlight music and special effects for all of the ports of call we will visit. Part of the description is that it will "light up the sky" so I presume that means FIREWORKS!!!!!.

The sailaway party is listed as being new.

Pirate night is listed the same as it is for the 4 and 7 night cruises -- dinner and deck party.

They also said there will be other activities with European Flair! Films shown in the Buena Vista Theater will include Moulon Rouge and Casino Royale.

The best is the kids clubs!! They will be doing things in the clubs that will get them ready for the ports which are coming up. They will be making puppets, tiles and crepes to name a few things!

Finally, we will be boarding the ship on deck 1. They will have an express elevator to Deck 9 and the other two elevators will make stops at the individual floors. I'm so glad I'm on Deck 2 this year!!!!

Thanks for the scoop Tracy! It's nice to have a spy network running. :thumbsup2

My goodness Tracy - you've been quite busy!!! I look forward to seeing what DU clients get. You never know, you just might break me away from my ever-so-wonderful current TA. After all, I do have to re-up while onboard!

On to the "new" or "not so new" shows. Would you believe we missed every one of them! We had early seating and it was IMPOSSIBLE to make it to the shows. Thank goodness we're on late seating this cruise. After the experience on the 11-night, it finally brought DNana around. She's now willing to wait until 8:30 for dinner just so we can see the shows. We had late seating last April and it was SOOO much better.

I'm jealous...I wish we had late seating...but with the old folk...lol....:rolleyes1
Plus with how late our port times go, we'll never make dinner or the shows :headache: Maybe we'll send Grandma to bed, eh? :rolleyes1

Maybe if you just tell her that it's really 6:30, not 8:30 you'll be okay. With the time change, an 8:30 dinner is like eating dinner as a late lunch. It also gives you time to have an afternoon snack in port or onboard ship without ruining your meal. Come on - go for it! LATE IS GREAT!
