When and where are we meeting on day 1?

Day 1 Dismeet is a problem on this cruise when compared to a "normal" cruise. Since people will be on and off the ship all day, it will more difficult to schedule something for the first day.

I will have the lanyards and name badges at the wine tasting party on day 2.

Yes, Coalchick, after we had the mall shooting here in Salt Lake City a couple of months ago (Trolley Square), it brings it all back to the surface. I heard on the news this morning that someone (sicko) called in a threat, and the whole mall had to be swept last night by the police/bomb squad/tac team.

There is not enough that can be said.....just repeating my original comment.

Just a heads up~anyone traveling on Iberia airlines and didn't make their reservations via DCL might want to reconfirm their flights!! Out of 14 people (traveling on different airlines) 6 of us on Iberia (traveling on different dates) have had MAJOR schedule changes. I'm not sure what is going on with them....but now I have to stay another night in Barcelona because the flight I had leaves Madrid before I even leave Barcelona. It's taken me close to 7 hours on the phone to get them all straightened up!! I'm afraid to call on the other 2 groups that we have going!!! LESSON LEARNED~use a travel agent next time!!! Good luck!

So I found this absolutly hilarious. I was looking into taking the repo with our ds-2 and then dh would meet us in Barceola for the First Med Sailing. If I take the cruise alone in a cat 12 it is $1600 give or take... if I take our DS-2 it is $300 LESS????? Wow!

Is the repo that empty?

In other news: We had gotten a call from USAir a WHILE ago telling us our flight times had changed out of Philly. Somehow after that confirmation they managed to drop me and our son from the flight... hubby was fine (was booked seperate using points from Marriot). Needless to say i am PEEVED! We reserved early to get bulkhead in 1st class and now lost our seats. The best USAir could do was get us in row 3. Oh well, now someone will have a toddler kicking their chair. Buggers....

Call and check your reservations!!!!

This whole airline thing is a nightmare. Now I can't access my ressie at all! I just spoke to an AA rep and she said we were NOT CONFIRMED for the return flight. I thought I had just been through this whole thing about 10 days ago when we found out we had to layover at JFK. She said she confirmed us and would send an email verifying it. I'm still waiting....... As Han Solo would say, "I have a bad feeling about this"

We were scheduled to come back on the 6th (for 3 of us) and on the 8th (for 3 of us) It looks like they have pulled a few flights out of Barcelona. Our Iberia Air flight that departed at 12:55 is no more and everything else is booked. So, now we have a direct flight out of Barcelona on the 7th into Miami. Better flight, but my husband had meetings set up for the 7th that he will now have to reschedule!!!

I just called DCL and asked them to send my first med cruise docs with my repo docs (and to send them "soon").

They asked me to tell other b2b people to call DCL and make the same arrangement.

Great advice! I just recently found out whenever you are doing back to backs to notify DCL (or have your TA notify them). They will put a flag on your reservations so that you will get your documents together.

I've tried calling USAir and have been on hold for quite a while. I tried using the live chat function too. Did the flight info change on the USAir website? We're flying out of Philly the day after you and now I'm a little nervous because there 8 of us traveling together.

Gee - you would think that a multi billion dollar company with the state of the art computer system that DCL has rotfl2: ) would be able to identify and deal with an issue like this on their own. Yeah, right.

LESSON LEARNED~use a travel agent next time!!! Good luck!

Just so you know, a travel agent wouldn't have much better luck with this than you would. As the travel industry has changed- and the airline agency no longer gives TA's comission on flights- when it comes to flying, you're not much better off than they are. The only thing would be that they would be on the phone, rather than you.

I used the online agency Expedia for my flights, which I haved used for YEARS and this was the first problem I have ever had. However, they really weren't very successful at getting my problem solved....I still have an 8 hour layover in Madrid. I decided to get a hotel room in Madrid (about $50) and I will take a cab into the city. (6 KM for the airport). This way, I'll get to see some of Madrid and I'll take a nap. I debated taking the train- but it's four hours AND another $120. I'd rather do the layover and than take the train.....


I guess the ultimate lession is, DONT fly IBERIA.
