Just checking in. It's been a while. Forgive me. It's crunch time for us! We have to be fully packed for this trip by 6 April! We'll be in California househunting in April and as soon as we get back our movers arrive to pack up the house so we must have everything packed and ready to go ahead of time. We close on the sale of our VA house in late April. We'll stay with friends for 2 weeks before leaving for Florida on 11 May. We will actually be homeless during this trip as we won't close on a place in CA until after we arrive in San Diego on 6 June. We will never be more ready for a vacation!

Gas is about $2.55 per gallon round here..

Goes like this, friend takes it, then his friend takes it and so on!
then, I have the first guy do the people who actually pay to have snow removed!
Since he is on that side of Town, Anyways.

Do tell !!! What happened?

ok - since there were multiple requests...

He was invited to do a special show with Kermit the Frog. We all went since Kermet is my hunnies most favorite character (I didn't know they were ranked before this...seems "kermie" is her first love ).

We arrived early, but not early enough - we were about half way back from the stage. When that idiot took the stage he talked about a TV show he had been on for years (not sure which one - something about a group of kids ??) Then he decided to sing a song. "my name is Sagat; it rhymes with Fa_ _ ot). As a gay couple with a gay friendly mom we were deeply offended. The song lasted about 20 minutes. He then proceeded to tell many off color jokes that were extremely non-Disney. When Kermit appeared on stage so many people didn't pay attention to the many requests and posted and displayed requests to not use the flashes. This gave my hunnie an instant and violent migraine. We spent the rest of the night in the cabin trying to get her to the point where she could move without vomiting.

My upset about the song was superceded with my worry about her migraine, so we didn't find out that the song was WORSE on the later show.

We did hear he was banned and asked to never come aboard again. I personally managed to get Thom McAlpins' hear about it and voiced a strong complaint.

That is my sorry tale. A black smerch on an otherwise wonderful trip.

I also heard that Johnney Depp's daughter is seriously ill. Apparently she has been in the hospital for some time now! opefully she will be alright!

Side note: We just recieved our T-shirts from Cafepress and they are wonderful! We also got the tote bags and magnets. Great design and good quality merchandise! Well worth the money.

Another Side Note: I found two great items for our loooong flight to Barcelona. The first is called a Plane Sheet and it is basically a cover for your seat for comfort and sanitation. Allison and I each got a chenille one in different colors and I think they are going to be very comfortable. They can be found at www.planesheets.com. The other item is called a cabin cuddler and they are super soft and compact blankets for the plane. They can be found on www.protravelgear.com. Other neat items on that site are colored locks that can be opened and relocked by the TSA with a special instrument they have and small no-leak bottles for carry-on.

And I'm sorry to say that I have heard several horrible stories about Bob Saget. I worked with him on the show Full House for several years and I know him as an extremely kind, gentle, great dad, and extremely funny person. I can tell you that I was shocked to hear that he was performing on the Disney cruise. He is famous for his very blue humor (R-rated), so he usually only does adult only and late night shows. He has so many gay friends that I'm really surprised that he would do such an offensive show. His character on TV is nothing like him personally. He knows and anyone booking him on DCL should have known that the character on stage is NOT a Disney match!!!! The Bob I know, won an student academy award for his writing and directing and is sought after to write family comedy scripts - all of that success was achieved on the desk that I am currently sitting at. When I lost my home, my pets and everything in it to a fire he was the first of the cast to track me down to offer any help he could. He gave me his desk with some very kind words. I'm sorry for everyone who went through such a bad experience with him onboard, but I thought I'd share my gentler memory of the Bob I know. I'm sure they will be much more careful in the future.

Gas prices are $2.59 here in western Arizona. Thank goodness I drive a PT Cruiser.

Is anyone considering the “Evening Casino” trip in Monte Carlo? It sound different but I can not figure out why it is $99 an adult when the day trip “Highlights of Monaco and Monte Carlo including the Grand Casino” is $59 an adult.

Not a big gambler but I thought I could put on my white tux, go to the Baccara Table and order a martini stirred not shaken, or is it the other way around.

I am not saying this with any authority but I thought there must be a cover charge or a minimum on the night tour and DCL is making sure they collect for it. The only other thought was a minimum about of "chips" for gambling.
