Can't remember where this was posted, but do we know if there's a pirate night and if so, what night?

Any other speciality nights that I have to buy costumes for???

Another couple weeks before we know this for sure. Some have said yes pirate night, others have said no. It's not finalized with DCL yet.

Renegade7: when i first found out about the Delta time change I tried to get on the ATL flight. I think it was back in December and there was not a single seat available and they would not put me up in business since we had "cheap" (approx$900) tickets! My suspicion is that DCL probably bought out most of the ATL seats for the passengers that paid for their air through Disney. ATL would have been a good alternative for us since we were going back to RDU, but they were completely sold out. If you can swing it (we couldn't) I would just stay the extra day. As Peter said, you can find cheap hotels at kayak.com and other sites...we found ours at octopus.com

Jenn: I walked just over 12 miles today over a somewhat hilly terrain. I did it in 2 hours, 50 minutes and was going at a quick, but comfortable pace. Now I can't decide to go for the Donald or the Mickey. I'm thinking Donald in '08 and Mickey in '09, but I don't know if I want to devote 2 years to training. It is SO time consuming. If I thought I could do the Mickey in January I would go for it. Can't wait to meet all the marathon vets on our cruise so I can pick their brains!

Going to bed early tonight and setting my coffee pot for 2:45!

Wow, Jeanne! Way to go! I haven't been able to start the training for January yet. It is way to icy right now. But by end of March I should be able to, and that will be plenty of time. A bunch of us from work are going to do it, so I will have lots of walking buddies! I did take the girlies for a decent walk today. They have been going nutso being stuck inside without a good walk. They went at each other the other night, we had to pull them apart. Hope everyone goes to bed early tonight!!! ~~~~ Jenn

Nancy (padisneyfan) and I are doing a half-marathon in Allentown at the end up April. After that, we'll have a better grasp of what we can and can't do. Right now my feet are very sore.....not blisters, but what feels like bone pain. I drank lots of water when I finished walking.....now I think I need some wine!

There is an open bottle of Rosa Regale in the fridge...
Only one glass left...

Here it is, 6 hours before booking and I still can't decide which Rome excursion to do!!!! I think I may do the Rome on your own. I would love to join some of you who are going solo, but we are leaving kids on the ship, so gotta do DCL.

Also, those of you who bought t-shirts and already received them; how do they fit? pretty true to size? I am typically between a large and X-large. I usually have to try things on...I am planning to get a t-shirt and tank top.

Thanks!!!

You should do the Mickey in 08- it is the 15th anniversary & they are going to have a special medal. I have done the half twice and I decided to try the full this coming year since Robb did it this year. I won't be out done.

OK , I just went to the DCL site and my reservation is showing "booked" not paid in full .... am I going to be able to book excursions at 3am?

That's the status that mine shows. I can't answer whether it'll work for you or not, but it does for me.

Good luck!

And good luck to all of you that will be booking in just 4 short hours. I want you to know that I saved at least one shore excursion and one Palo reservation each day! :teeth:

I can't wait to hear what everyone else has booked. I'm sure we'll run across quite a few of our friends on our excursions.

Just wanted to remind everyone that we will be in Marseille on SUNDAY. This means that many of the shops/restaurants/etc. will not be open on some of the tours. I've specifically heard that Aix, Avignon, etc. are pretty dead on Sunday - so you might want to make alternative plans if shopping was your goal.

Hi all, Just a reminder about booking your excursions tonight. On the repo booking two weeks ago several people had great frustration trying to book because their online account said they either were or were not paid in full. The ones paid in full could not figure out why they were locked out! So, this morning make sure you are paid in full with DCL, DVC, and your TA.

:surfweb: Yes, I will be awake tonight and posting when done. If you need a wake up call PM me with your number. We are wide awake at that time of night. :surfweb:

Good luck everyone!

This will be my first time booking excursions etc online. I had assumed that this could be done at 12:01 AM but I gather by a lot of posts that this can't happen before 3:00AM. Is this the case?
If it is, I think I will try and get a few hours sleep. Thanks

Hi all. Booked is the same as paid in full (we think?!)

It's 12:01 west coast time!

Thanks for the Aix en Provence info.

I'm assuming that on the Aix trip when they say we are going to a restaurant that the rest. will actually be open right???:confused3 Does that sound silly?

Good Morning to all you cruise night owls. I haven't booked excursions online before this trip. I doubled checked with DCL this evening and a very nice woman read the policy to me. I asked why everyone on the disboard was talking about 3 AM and she said that she had heard that from other callers and was confused by the 3 AM time because the policy said eastern std time. Hmmm, another instance where the dissers know more than the DCL reps.

What else is new??:confused3

What I don't get is why I don't have a like to shore excursions under that portion of the "my cruise" section?? How am I supposed to select what I want? This is who I did it last time.

This is what it looks like:
Reserved Shore Excursions

You may not reserve shore excursions at this time. Please return 75 days prior to embarkation. If you are a Castaway Club member, you may return 90 days prior to embarkation. If you are a Concierge Guest, you may return 105 days prior to embarkation.

This isn't what it looked like last time....maybe I'm being punished for wanting to go against the norm... :rolleyes1

Celeste, that is what they all look like until 12:01 west coast time and then they all change. You can then start booking one at a time from your wish list. That's how it worked last week anyway. It was my first time booking this way so I'm hoping it looks the same this week.

Also, What kind of price did you get for your train back from Florence? I'm getting nothing every time I try to check a price on trenitalia. I can get the times, but not the prices. I'm torn between doing Florence and Pisa on our own by train or going on the very expensive trip via bus. Because of the train change in Pisa, it is about the same time, but I'm guessing about 1/8 of the cost. Plus we don't have to do the scheduled stops with DCL. Thoughts?
