The Delta agent I spoke with said more than likely it will change again. However, we don't know if it will be for the worst or better.

Anyone else who is flying on this Delta flight, I urge you to use their online comment form to complain about this time change. Maybe if there are enough of us they will push it forward to 10:30.

I am going to play it by ear and wait and see... Not sure there is much more that we can do with out paying through the nose. :confused3

I sent my online comment...got an automated response back saying it would take longer to get a personalized response due to the high volume of comments they had received lately! Imaging that, I hope it's all of us from the Med cruises who have been "done wrong". Keep writing Delta, please. If I can find any other flights that work at all, I won't fly them again.

Hi Everyone

Where is everybody - airfares get you down and now everyones bailed?

Shari got home today. She's not even very sore after her 39 miles over the weekend.

Hi Everyone

As you may have heard, I am working on lanyards and name tags for the First Magical Med Cruise. While the actual name badge really doesn't cost much in actual dollars (lots of time, not much actual expense), the same cannot be said for the lanyards and name badge holders. In the past, a group of 6 to 10 people stepped up to help pay the cost of the lanyards and name badges as a gift to everyone on the cruise list.

If you are interested in participating in this project, please PM me and I can give you more information.

Funny, we are working on that now, amongst packing for our trip this weekend!!
:woohoo:

Actually, the Girl up the street is seeing what she can do with her FF miles to get us to Barcelona & Back .. The price is right! :woohoo:

All I can do is wait!!

for the anwser.... :rolleyes1 :dance3:

Love the shirt designs! It's great to have so many choices. The extra money for your worthy cause is fine.
John and I would be happy to be one of your lanyard sponsors. I always like to bring some little gift to the sailaway meet and since I want to travel EXTREMELY light, I was trying to figure out how I could provide a gift and not weigh down the suitcase. Now i know...

Did one of our group just run the marathon? I wish I had known. I just returned from WDW where I was cheering on my daughter. This was her first full marathon and she finished in 4:01 (she was bummed it wasn't under 4, but I thought she was AMAZING!) I could not believe how hot it was Sunday! What a fantastic event that was. The comraderie was just unbelievable. Now I'm psyched to do the half one next year.

Still bummed about the whole Delta situation. They never advised me of the change either. It just so happened that my ticket to MCO this past weekend was also with Delta and when I was printing up the itinerary, I decided to see if everything was the same with the BCN flight. What a shock that was. They were not very nice about it either. They said they would refund my money, but couldn't give me a confirmation number. Now that I'm back, I'll have to call them again.

We've cancelled TAP. No way after the reviews we read.

Talked to someone at work who does travel arrangements and he said that it's too early for most travel awards to be open for United. Which makes me feel a little better. I couldn't believe that there were no business class awards available to ANYWHERE in Europe. So, we've got something saved with him as a backup that will hold until May, and we're going to be calling United every day to see if the awards have opened up.

Keeping our fingers crossed :scared:

baileysgm:I've been thinking about your situation and while I am sure it is POSSIBLE to make that 10:00am Delta flight, it's the sort of thing that would have me worrying the entire trip and might cast a shadow on the entire experience. Before I cancelled, I kept trying to think of ways it still might work. Basically, I kept coming back to the fact that this will be only the second time the ship is disembarking in Barcelona (repo is first) It is not going to be like the Disney port in FL and there are bound to be lots of glitches. What happens if you guys all make it off the ship early and then have difficulty retrieving your luggage at the port? Or maybe the port workers won't start working until a particular time.....or something goes awry with the docking equipment on their end and there's a delay? And as someone else mentioned, we will be arriving on a Wednesday in one of the world's busiest cities. For me that would be VERY stressful. I did NOT want to give up our Delta flight. The times were wonderful, the cost was great and we had 2 legs each trip instead of 3. What I have now on AA/Iberia is not as good , but it works. Plus, Delta WILL refund your money if they can't accommodate you on a later flight. I thought about it long and hard and came to the conclusion that the extra inconvenience and approx$100 was worth it for my peace of mind. Hope this helps.....

Hello - I'm Kim & I'll be on the cruise with my husband Todd & our 2 kids. We've been on 6 other disney cruises and I've often looked at disboards for valuable info, but never registered until tonight. I have a lot to learn about the Med and look forward to meeting you all and benefiting from everyone's wealth of knowledge.

Welcome aboard Kim. This thread is a little slow right now, but it will pick up as the cruise gets closer.

Ask any and all questions - post all you want. That's the whole idea of the disboards.

I am working on name badges for everyone on the cruise list. Right now the list hasn't been posted, but it will be soon. So watch for info about that.

You will also see a link below that has t-shirts and stuff with our unofficial logo.

Again, welcome aboard!

Ken

Has anyone offered to make a website for our cruise? I'd be willing to do that, unless someone else has already taken on that project.

Also, I didn't hear about the excursion PDF that was made until I had already gathered the info on my own. Not sure what all was included in that PDF, but I have a 60+ page version with all of the excursion info off the website (full description, pre/post Barcelona times, length, pricing, and additional info). I agree that it's a pain to not be able to see all the details for all the excursions on one web page. Very frustrating to have to keep navigating through all the menus.

So, is that the same as what's on the original PDF? Here are the number of excursions I have listed for each port: Barcelona (15), Palermo (13), Naples (15), Olbia (13), Civitavecchia (15), La Spezia (21), Marseille (13), and Villefranche (13).

I can stick that up on the proposed website for easy sharing. Any other info that you all would like to have on there?

Jen

Jen feel free ;)

Jen - that would be great. Tracy has the cruise list, but it would be good to get it posted so we can access it and everyone can double check their listing.(this is very important to me when I start making the name badges).

Kim -

I am in the west central part of the sunshine state. We will be taking our 5 year old daughter with us on the cruise. Welcome aboard. This will be our first cruise.

I am not eligible to PM yet, but I am willing to chip in on the cost of the lanyards, etc.

Contrary to what you may have imagined, I am still alive.... lol... and I am REALLY looking forward to this cruise... I just got off a cruise on the "FREEDOM OF THE SEAS" and whereas it was a lot of fun, my girlfriend and I just kept repeating how Disney does a much better job with almost everything... :cool1: BIGGER is Not Better in this case.... lol... So... what have I missed? Is everyone still going or did we have some cancellations? To those whom I have not yet met, I'm Ron, and it is a pleasure to "meet" you...

Welcome back Ron. As you can see from my previous post - we still have lots of people going on the cruise. We also have t-shirts available (see the link at the bottom of my post).
