DH is going to make ours. He's the sewer in the family. Hopefully he can get it figured out. We are just doing one big pocket instead of one for each person.

Another FE question. Do we make some sort of card telling who the gift is from or is it totally anonymous?

I place a homemade tag on each gift & really like it when we receive gifts with tags. It's interesting to see what people created. So I say yes!

Actually I ordered my cabin gifts today....very excited about them and hope everyone LOVES them!!!! I'm no crafty person....that's for sure.....so I ordered my gifts. I'm doing cabin gifts and then a little something hopefully for each person. I suppose it depends on how big the list ends up being. But that is my hope and plan for now. I am very excited about it. This will be my first FE exchange so i'm excited.

Well....here is somewhat of a delima I am worried about. Please give me your input. Our friends also have a 5 year old and as you know they at this time do not want to participate in the FE. I'm afraid their child is going to be upset when she sees my child getting these FE gifts. There is a part of me that feels like well....they should have joined....then there is the other part of me that feels like I should make my child share which is not really fair to us or my child. Help me out here...should I just add another name to my FE for the other girl or not stress so much about this since it's really not my problem yet I kindof feel bad about it.......I'm torn!!

I think you are OVER-stressing!!! The kids may be good friends, but this is your family's vacation AND their family's vacation. They are choosing to celebrate differently by not taking advantage of the FE exchange. Remember, while the FE gifts sometimes lean more towards kids' interests, it is for your group (your family). Please don't punish...yes I said punish...your daughter by making her share her DCL loot.

If you try to "fix" things this time, they'll expect the same next time. Go ahead and call me heartless...I don't care, even my husband will tell you how mean I am

Just my opinion, it would be easier to just add her to yours and let her in on the excitement. I think it would be just as much excitement for your girl to share the experience with her friend on what each other got. The cruise cost so much and have so little time to have drama over something like that. It's not the 5 yr. old's fault that her parent's don't want to join and a 5 yr. old wouldn't understand that. The little cost of having one more would be worth it to make her feel just as special.

I think just to help with your stress level on vacation to just either include her in your cabin group or ask your daughter if she wants to share some of her stuff she may get. There may not be as much individual items as just things for the whole family anyway.

Thank you all for your replies. I did re-send a message to the mom and they will pass on the FE so I am just not going to worry about it. I guess we will just see what happens and deal with it at the time. I'm not going to worry about it! I have decided that worrying about it takes the fun out of it and I'm t0o excited about this to let it get to me.

Don't worry about it. I didn't do it the last time because I didn't really understand how much fun it could be. My girls were 5 and 6 at the time and understood that it was a special thing our friends decided to do and didn't seem upset at all. When we decided to do this cruise we reminded them about that from last time and they helped make the Gifts and have loved being a part of the experience so far. They can't wait to deliver them. Kids are more resilient than you think, if you don't make a big deal about it it won't become one. Our friends kids received so many special surprises that on the last morning at breakfast they gave a few extra things to our girls. It all works out! No worries!! Enjoy, it will be here before we know it!

Getting closer to ordering the wristbands. Still undecided which co to use, but many of them charge about the same.

What has been decided is the color: LIME GREEN, color filled (black) debossed with the front saying: FANTASIA AMIGOS and back: MAY 24-JUNE 1, 2013

Please reply with the number of bands and sizes (adult & youth).

I think I've already replied but I'll do it again just in case. We need 2 adult and 3 children's bands. My 13 DD has pretty skinny wrists so I think a child will fit her.
