Hi there! We are so excited to be on this cruise too! We booked this morning online. DH and I will be cruising with our DD's who will be 5 and 10 at the time. We missed the boat the last time it was here and are so happy it's coming back! And no airfare!!! :woohoo:

Hi! I'm so excited! We've been waiting and hoping for this since 2005! After all the stress and worry the past couple of weeks - now it's just happiness and excitement. Disney Cruise with no flying... Priceless!

So are you a CA resident then? We live up here in northen Santa Barbara county.

hello:wizard:

I am also booked for this cruise...will be me, my sister and our two boys (5yr & 6yr.). This will be our first time sailing from West coast. I have done five Disney Magic cruises from Florida but looking forward to not having to fly the 5/6 hours from San Diego:thumbsup2

This will be my sister & her son's first cruise:hug:

We're not in CA, we're actually in UT. But, it's a fairly easy drive that we've done often. Santa Barbara area is so beautiful! At least the parts of it I've seen. ;)

Looks like we're going to have the ship all to ourselves! :lmao:

We did the Mexican Riviera on the Magic in 2005 and LOVED it. We've been waiting since then for her to come back again!

Mousseaumob: How was the weather on your Mexican cruise? that is the thing that worries me is that the weather may be a bit cool, especially, on days at sea.

First day was cool but we swam after boarding - so it wasn't that bad. After that it was warm and very nice in all the ports. The last day at sea coming back was very chilly - downright gusty and cold. Ran up to deck 9 on that last night to grab some magical chicken fingers and I was quite cold even with my jacket. But being the last night, we really were fine with it.

Here's some pic's

Wow, those our awesome photos and scrapbook layout! I need to get some pointers from you on making a something like that...I am embarressed to say that most of my DCL photos are just in regular albums:blush:

Good to hear that the weather in ports should be nice!

Thanks! Don't be embarressed. I have to confess, when I did regular/traditional scrapbooks I really wasn't very good at it at all. After switching to digital, I not only was better but much much faster. Plus they have some layouts pre-done - you just drop photo's in and you're done. Started with these and have just continued to progress from there, now doing my own. I recently heard about a Disney product I may try out - that has pre-done pages you can check it out at: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/default.aspx

Hi Princessdaisy and welcome,
Living up here on the central coast, I understand your weather concerns! Our May-June weather can be foggy and quite cold and the ocean temp here is freezing. But I was in Cabo in Dec 05 and it was so warm. We were at the pool/beach all day, swimming in the ocean and it was perfect. I was also in Puerto Vallarta in March and the weather could not have been more perfect.:beach:

MousseauMob- I love your photo layouts too! I really need to go digital. I scrapbook the old fashioned way and am about 4 years behind!

Hello and thank you for the welcome:wave2: I look forward to getting to know everyone and discuss our cruise plans.

Mouseaumob: Thanks for the great link...looks pretty easy:thumbsup2 with the preset layouts & stuff. I noticed in you sig. that you are going on a Hawaiian cruise April 07? We are too but on the POH & a week stay on the islands afterwards:thumbsup2 My husband & dd, 14 will also be going but the Disney Magic trip for 08 will be a sisters & nephews only:goodvibes

Thanks! Oh boy, can I relate to being behind. Switching to digital was good for me because I do it so much faster (undo is my friend) and can slip it in without having to take all my supplies and I'm STILL behind! :rotfl2:

Oh that sounds awesome! We're doing the 2 week round trip from San Diego on the Celebrity Infinity. Me, my sister, DS(11) and DD (4)! We can't wait! We've never been to Hawaii before!

Wow, I work just down the street from where you will embark on the ship! It is so fun to look out my building window and see the ships at dock. There is a huge parking lot across the street from the ship where most passengers park their cars (I actually park my car there and walk up the block to work).

We fly out of San Diego March 29 and staying three days precruise, sail Pride of Hawaii for seven days with a port each day (no sea days so pretty port intensive) then four days at JW marriott Ko Olina:beach: Can't wait!!

I still am more excited about my DCL cruise!!! I wish I would have rebooked on our Dec 07 for the onboard discount  but I didn't know that the Magic would be coming back to West Coast:faint: Ahhhh, Well

You get back right before we leave. We're coming into San Diego on the April 19th and then sailing out on the April 22nd. Point me in the right direction and I'll be sure and wave when we board! :wave2:

You are JUST the person I need to chat with. I've been trying to figure out the whole parking thing and I haven't had much luck. Any suggestions on the best place to leave the car for 2 weeks? How far is it from the pier? I would like to drop off my sister, the kids, and the luggage then go park the car and get back to them as soon as possible. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

I don't know what it is about Disney - must be the pixie dust. :tinker: but I totally understand what you mean about being more excited for this. It's funny because the last few weeks I've been obsessed about this and have neglected the Hawaiian cruise discussion board and planning and stuff - even though it's only 2.5 months away!

Oh, sure, the parking lot is just across the street from the dock! very convenient and it is called Five Star parking 619-235-4500 I pay 9 a day to park (yep, expensive:sad2: ) and the street address is 900 W. Broadway. There is also another parking lot on 800 W. Broadway (this one is just a half block up from other Five Star parking) and I think it is 95.00 a week to park there...or you can just drive to my house and park the car & I can drop you off:lmao:

It is so funny that I have lived here in San Diego only 15 min away from downtown pier and have never taken a cruise out of SD:rolleyes: no, instead I fly the 5 plus hours to Fl and 45 min drive to Port Canaveral:p

Anyway, when you get to the pier just turn around and you'll face the high rise building with big windows and shout "hey Steph" heheheh!:p

-Stephanie

Thanks Steph for the parking help! We'll be dropping the car off around 10:00am on Sunday the 22nd! :lmao:

I'll be giving you a shout out when I get to the pier! Just give a shout back, "Hey Ellen"! :thumbsup2

Now someone needs to explain to me how I'm going to do without these boards for 20 days? :scared1:

So, does anyone have a cool nickname idea for our cruise?

:surfweb: Ellen

Okay, here's my lame attempt at a logo/nickname for our cruise. Tell me what you think and be brutal! ;)
