May 24, 2014 Alaskan 9 night Wonder

Seeing all of the posts from different folks, one thing is certain. We all have our share of crazy weather. I looked at the extended forecast for our cruise and its anywhere from mid 40's to low 60's, windy, cloudy, sunny, or rainy. So, we should have a fabulous roller coaster ride of a cruise. Can't wait, bring on the fog, rain, snow, mountains, and the hot chocolate I keep hearing about.

I can't wait for the cooler weather! It's been in the 90s here in Orlando so I only hope that it isn't even hotter this summer considering it's only May! Only 18 more days until Alaska!

It's barely been above freezing here in Calgary and it's not supposed to get very warm for at least another week!

As long as it is the weather that is the roller coaster and not the boat Although, I am prepared either way

I can't wait for warmemr weather I kept telling people heat, humidity and typhoons, bring them on They just roll their eyes.

I'm not looking forward to freezing weather. Really hoping that there is none of that.

It has been mid 80s here all week with beautiful sunshine and I am LOVING it!! I am so thankful for the amazing weather. The pool has been open since the 1st, so I think Friday, possibly Thursday and Friday we will have recess at the pool. LOVE IT!!

Does anyone know of an alternative to the Sea Otter and Wildlife Quest in Sitka? I'm hoping for a cheaper option than DCL for that one since they charge $89 for the baby who will most likely be worn in the carrier and sleeping for that excursion. Thanks!

Meets: Obviously this is completely voluntary, and will not affect your personal vacation plans.


Boarding Day: Boarding ship (TBD on your boarding time)
3pm – Meet and Greet Promenade Lounge (Children Welcome)
4pm – MANDATORY EVERYONE Muster Drill (no meets at this time please)


Sea Day 2 (May 26) 11:30am: Ladies ONLY “Tea” Party (Information will be given by Nakoma on the ship)

Sea Day 2 (May 26): 12’s Lunch @ Tritons @ 12:12pm (Everyone’s invited Meet at Ariel Statue)



FE Lists will be emailed out by Nakoma as soon as lists are finalized.
Once again, if anyone has any other meets they would like to try to get together or invite everyone to a certain area at a certain time, feel free to let me know with your information and I’ll update it accordingly.

The only thing I would say would be that I was under the impression that the FE lists were finalized and emailed out. With the exception of the Lost Boys.

That's what I meant by finalized. I should have been more clear... There are still some rooms that are ogt/vgt/igt that have yet to be assigned by DCL too.

To help clarify on my end and put anyone's mind at ease who is participating but possibly confused, here is the only finalization I am doing for the FE:

1) I am sending out one more update via email for Groups Mickey, Minnie and Tinker Bell with the lists now in Stateroom order whereas before it was in order of sign up. You may use whichever list you prefer, but no matter which format you choose I can assure you no new people will be added to your list.

2) For Group Lost Boys (this includes those from Mickey, Minnie and Tinker Bell who are also exchanging with this group) your final update is currently being work on and I appreciate your patience waiting for your email to arrive.

I have only been posting the FE updates on page 1 of this thread and through email (mostly to Group Lost Boys because their list has been the only one growing) to keep help the FE info in a centralized place and not clutter this thread with it. Sorry again to those not participating in the FE, but I want to add just these few more points here just so I can cover my bases in keeping those who are participating informed.

* DCL has not yet assigned Stateroom numbers to those still waiting so as far as the FE is concerned that information will not make it on my final update list. I will gather that information on embarkation day as well as any stateroom number changes if anyone is lucky enough to get a port upgrade.

* I will not be posting any FE lists on DIS or FB because 1) there are some participants (including myself) who do not want their personal information [e.g. real names, stateroom numbers, children's names...] posted on a public forum and I will respect that; 2) there are many variations of the FE list pertaining to personal preferences. Specifically with Group Lost Boys. Some were not able to do the full combo group, some had to stop accepting new names, etc and the lists were sent out accordingly.

All other information will be on page one of this thread FE Post and in the emails I am working on. Hopefully all will be explained between the 2 sources. If it is not explained feel free to reply to my email when you receive it and I will do my best to clear up any confusion pertaining to the FE. I just need time to get the emails out before I can answer anyone.
