May 24, 2014 Alaskan 9 night Wonder

:rotfl2: you have now been ENABLED! :lmao:

Don't look up in case there are jumpers ;) and don't pick up hitch hikers swimming in the bay (San Quentin is where they have the GOOOOOOD prisoners :sad2: pirate: )

Yes, I have been ENABLED, and I am so excited. Normally these kinds of plans don't fit my schedule, but this is going to be great. I will love flying into San Diego and not worrying with Seattle/Vancouver until the return. And I am going to love all those days at sea and a full day at one of my most favorite cities, San Francisco.

If I say this stuff over and over, just ignore me. :thumbsup2

pequele,

You can just update your first post with everybody who is going, that way we don't have to search the threads and you don't take up valuable signature space, which is limited anyway.

No way. I wanna hear about it! I want you to inspire me (notice I'm not calling it enabling ahaha) to pick our next trip :)

Pequele: you can add my SIL to the list, she isn't on these boards, yet, but she is traveling with us in her own cabin:

PeeBee Bridger
5A, deck 7
Just herself right now, may add someone later

Well, since my dsil has decided to join us on this sailing, we decided last night that we would like to have connecting cabins, so we have changed. We are still 5A and on deck 7.

Tip: I did learn that the laundry on Deck 7 on the Wonder is across from cabin 7590, starboard side. Last cruise, DH and I roamed all over before we found the laundry, only because we went in the exact opposite direction we should have and did the whole circle of the ship only to find it not too far from our cabin in the opposite direction. Never saw a CM to ask either.

I was going to suggest the same thing--copy everyone's information to the very first post so it will be the first thing seen when new people sign on. We will get more people, right? Not that ya'll aren't enough, just sayin'.

For those of us here already, do any of you do Fish Extender stuff? I don't organize them, but I do participate. :)

Ahhhh so THAT is how they get it to show up top! See I'm glad someone knows what they are doing here! I don't mind doing it either way. I'm used to seeing it up top. I just couldn't figure out how to do it (sure I could edit post 37 of mine but the first one? THAT takes common sense ahaha)!

I'm doing an FE on our first cruise this May (3 night Bahamian). Not organizing it either! But we only have like 10 cabins which is good and not too crazy. Some people have had like 100! That freaks me out!

I didn't do the FE on our very last cruise because there were so many cabins. I didn't mind not having the stress that I had felt in the past when I did participate. But, I have an idea for this cruise that I can start on now-works for male or female, any age, and I can get it all done in advance, no matter how many cabins we have. Bet I have your curiosity peaked now? And since I will be sailing out of San Diego, I can ship the box to whatever hotel we decide to stay at the night before, so it won't have to go in my luggage.

Who's packed yet hehehe?

I'm not packed, but I am going through my clothes today to see what I have already and what I need to get.

If I say this stuff over and over, just ignore me. :thumbsup2

Nothing wrong with sharing your excitement. :goodvibes You might ENABLE --I mean INSPIRE someone else. :rotfl:

I don't mind organizing. I still haven't decided if I'm participating (even though I already know what I'm planning to give ), but I don't mind organizing it. I like to do it with freedom of people deciding when they want to deliver and not assigning specific dates. If you all are ok with that let me know. Or if someone else has their heart set on being "FE Captain", I can step back.

You go for it, and I love delivering when I want to--haven't been in one where I was told when to do it. And I am also in the camp that each person should decide if they are a "one gift per cabin giver" or "a something for everyone giver". Hope that works for everyone as well.

I love that you don't know if you are participating but know what you are giving--I resemble that remark. :goodvibes

I vote moondaughter23 FE Captain :D

Yes i too like everyone should be able to decide. I read some people won't participate because they can't afford something for every person or don't have the time for every person. I don't like that to be a deciding factor.

On a random side note. I have asked this in other threads and don't know if I missed answers or no one has replied (I can't find some posts!!). When I do a rebook on this year's may cruise, if I just rebook another (cheap hehe) 3 day, I know if we kept that we would only get at $100 obc for rebooking but what happens if later I move that cruise to a 7+ day, will I then get $200 or will I lose out because it was originally under 7 days? Thanks

I never have either, but on other threads it seemed implied that there have been some FE exchanges run that way in the past. Could totally be an urban legend, but I wanted to throw in my vote against it now.

I agree. It should be fun for everyone rather than intimidating and stressful. :flower3:

 I'm 75% sure I want to participate. And it's growing stronger by the minute. By next week I might be all in.

We should have a logo! :scratchin This is a one time cruise so we should have a logo to put in our siggies. However, don't look at me, because I am not creative enough on the computer to make one. Hopefully somebody on our cruise might be willing to make one. :goodvibes

I love logos! Don't look at me either, but I'm all for it.

I agree with you 100%, :goodvibes and I am not creative enough either. :sad1:

I don't know, but I would be interested to know as well. I moved a 3-day to a 5-day, but I don't think that would make any difference, and my 9-day was originally a 7-day, but I don't think that once you go over the 7-days it makes any difference in the amount of credit. I hadn't really thought about my on-board credits.

Ok I got the 1st post updated :cool1: wudduya think?

Moondaughter23 and I were thinking the Google doc could provide a bit more info about your room, contact info, I was wondering even about maybe (when it gets closer) excursion info perhaps? I can put the link in the 1st post for everyone, too. That way if I slack off for a little bit :scared1: people can add their info into the doc and all won't be lost??

I don't mind updating the 1st post now that you guys gave me that "duh" moment! I'm still laughing at myself that I couldn't figure THAT out! :rotfl2:

And I am NOT good with photoshop, still a newbie! I have no idea even HOW to make a siggie thingie!

The Golden Gate, that will be so cool, and a full day in San Francisco, one of my most favorite cities. Wonder how much food I can eat in the 13 hours we are there--crab, boudin bread, Italian, Chinatown. Its going to be hard to pick.
 I seriously need to get back to San Francisco - love the city and it's been SO long!

I'm doing an FE on our first cruise this May (3 night Bahamian). Not organizing it either! But we only have like 10 cabins which is good and not too crazy. Some people have had like 100! That freaks me out!
Hawaii had closer to 200. :scared1: They split it up in to groups. Our April cruise they are also splitting into groups, which helps those that don't want to do too many. If someone wants to do everyone they just signed up for each group. I'm all for laid back and easy! I'm still pondering participation -- who am I kidding, the kids talk me into it every time!

Here's an attempt. I like the picture but I don't really like the saying. Maybe Mice on Ice. :lmao: Seriously, I'm open for ideas. Plus I will need to make it smaller.
