May 24, 2007 3 Night Wonder!!!

No Docs yet for me either. I'm hoping they come today.

Only 13 days till I leave for Orlando and I have so much to do. My husband will be on a business trip up to the day we leave for vacation!! Talk about cutting it close. That means that all the packing and last minute planning is left up to me. I hope I can get it all done.

So, are we going to plan to meet before the sail away party??

I would LOVE that!!! Pick and time and place and we'll be there!!

In the mail today I got something from my travel agent. It's a book called My Cruise Travel Kit. This isn't everything is it? I should still be getting documents from Disney correct?

My docs came from the Cruise Line and not the TA. They came in a white plastic bubble wrap envelope. It is a brown booklet that says "Your Travel Booklet" In it are all the necessary docs, plus they included the luggage tags, a checklist and the immigration forms.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. My TA said I might not have them until a week before the cruise. He said sometimes when you book later, you get your documents later. Since we didn't book until 3 weeks ago, I'm guessing that applies to us!

Did anyone set up a meet for our cruise yet?

Well, I got my docs yesterday and the UPS driver left them on my front porch. My dog decided that she would open the package for me. So when my husband got home from work. Our Docs were all over the yard. Nothing was damaged except the outside package and the brown envelope that the booklet was in. I ended up doing the on-line check in anyway, so we don't need anything except the luggage tags.

As far as us all meeting. How about 3:00 on deck 10 near the pools. If that time works for everyone, then we can pick a more definite location. Let me know.

Looks like there may be a bar on Deck 10 call the Outlook Bar. Maybe we can meet there for a cocktail or soft drink at 3:00. How will we know one another? Last cruise, we went with a color and tried to wear all the same color shirt. It was a neat idea, but then again, our group was over 50 people.

I think I can make it. Are we meeting without kiddos since this is a bar? Either way is fine with me.

We fly out 2 weeks from tomorrow!

It was just a suggestion for a place to meet, not necessarily a place to party. I'm bringing my daughter to meet everyone too. It is an outside are near the pool deck with outside chairs and tables. Can't wait, its coming up quick now. :dance3:

Thanks for the information. I booked the 3rd week of April, so hopefully they are on the way.

Are you going to be on the cruise with us?

Hi, Mickbee. Welcome. It has been rumoured (on other web boards) that POC3 will be shown on our cruise. Can't wait either.

My daughter is almost 7. I'm sure she and your son will be in camp together. Her name is Rachael.

 I like those types of rumors! We are traveling with our 14 year old son... He's almost as tall as me, though it doesn't take much! LOL!

We sailed when POC1 came out during a western Caribbean and the Cruise Director came over the PA to inform us they would be showing the movie at midnight the opening night. He then pproceeded to tell us we would be the first to see the movie as we were in the Atlantic time zone; one hour earlier than EST.

Hopefully we will have the same experience this trip!

Thanks for the welcomes and we are counting the moments!!!

Oh.... I hope, I hope, I HOPE!!!:goodvibes My DD is 100% confident that she will be seeing this movie premiere at midnight on the 25th (her Birthday!!). POC1 is her favorite movie of all time and to say that she saw POC3, on her b-day IN the Carribean - well, that's her dream!!! What a way to turn 13 :thumbsup2

Keeping my fingers crossed!!!;)

Hi
We are also traveling May 24 (DD 4 and son 7). I just found out about this thread via Sue from another site.

Here are our current plans, subject to change:

Day 1: Arrive just prior to 10am. I understand there are movies and characters in the terminal, so that the kids won't be bored while we wait to get on the ship. Advice I've read is - the cruise experience begins as soon as you arrive, so with such a short trip, why not start the fun ASAP.

After we get on the ship, we would like to get a quick bite at the buffet. Next, let the kids swim before it gets too crowded, then the muster drill and sail away party. No plans after that - just play it by ear.

Day 2: Full access to Atlantis. I made a reservation at the Comfort Suites for $270, which cheaper than what Disney wanted ($438). We'll check-in but obviously won't sleep there.

Day 3: Castaway Cay - no plans. Right now, we're thinking of parasailing, biking, and swimming with the stingrays.

We are currently set up for late dining. I just hope my kids can stay awake long enough to enjoy everything. As far as cabins, we signed up for a Cat 12 guarantee. I found out Monday that we were upgraded to a Cat 9, deck 2 near the front of the ship.

My biggest worry is getting sea sick. I've taken 2 cruises before this and had no trouble - but then, the seas were relatively calm. Thank goodness I didn't book a cruise this week, with that storm (Andrea) out there. whew.

12 days and counting... :yay:
