May 24, 2007 3 Night Wonder!!!

We only have a little less then two months until we will be on the boat. This past weekend I found myself saying several times "two months from today..." It was a nice feeling.

I found myself doing the same thing this weekend...2 more months...can't wait. Last month we did the Pirate and Princess Party at the Magic Kingdom. We had a blast.

Not too many people posting here. Ya think we'll have the ship to ourselves??

Have I mentioned "two more months???"

I guess the boats is either going to be empty, or full of people who don't know about the DISboards. Either way, It's going to be tons of fun.

We've decided not to book any excursions this time. I think we are going to stay on the boat in Nassau and then spend the whole day at Castaway Cay laying on the beach. Since we are coming from spending 4 days at the parks, the cruise will be a nice break. I'm looking forward to doing nothing.

Less then two months!! :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

I, too, have decided not to book excursions. I will spend all day at Castaway Cay in my lounge chair and a drink so by the time I'm done, I'll be dancing the way those bananas are at the bottom of your last post...LOL

These last 2 mos are going to go by sooo slow.

Can't wait to meet ya.

I'm in vacation mode. I've been on here everyday reading trip reports. I've also tried to do the on-line check in on Disneycruise.com but it keeps saying that they are having problems with their reservation system. I will keep trying. It won't be long before we get our cruise documents in the mail.

I ordered my bathing suite yesterday. Since that is what I will be wearing the majority of the cruise, I figured I would get a good one. I ordered it from LL Bean.

6 weeks, 1 day... :woohoo: :woohoo:

I can't seem to access the online check in either. Have you had any luck yet?

I am sooo ready for this cruise.

Totally suffering from the waiting! Myself, DH and DD (she will turn 13 the second day of the cruise and it's also our 16th anniversary!!! - she loves to tell people that she was born on the day we got married :rolleyes1 and I have to remind her that it was actually 3 years later!).

We're doing the land/sea package. I'm a former cast member who has let a decade lapse since I last visited the parks. DD was last there when she was 18 mo. so she has no memory of visiting

I only booked about a month ago so we are rushing through this. Decided to get passports and spent a small fortune expiditing them. Can you believe we got them 2 weeks to the day that we applied for them? Has to be a record.

DD is set on a dolphin interaction and I'm still in decision mode on what to do there. I've booked the Nassau excursion but I'd rather have a longer experience. Totally afraid to book a swim directly with dolphin encounters (I'd so much rather stay in protective arms of Disney - I'm very familiar with Nassau and just don't trust the place on my own). Thinking of the Dolphins in Depth program at Epcot (checked and they still have availability). Any suggestions would be appreciated :thumbsup2

Also any suggestions on how to not spend my entire vacation missing my dogs :sad2: It's going to be their first time in a kennel and SUCH a long time there (9 days!). I keep trying to convince myself that they are getting a "vacation" themselves but... I'm just not buying it!

I'm so glad that you will be joining us. We are also doing the last and Sea. What resort are you staying at? I haven't ever done any of the dolphin excursions, but I've always wanted to. After spending four days at the parks, we are going to try and just relax on the cruise.

My husband is a former cast member. He was in the college program and also worked at the DVC resort in Hilton Head Island, SC.

We also have to put our dog in the kennel. I'm not too concerned. She has been several times and she loves it. She can't get in the building fast enough from the car.

Only 38 more days!!!

I was in the College Program, too! Worked Main Street MK from '88 - '89 (whew - was it really that long ago??). Then worked at our Disney Store when it opened (Lex, KY).

We're staying at the Poly (was always a dream of mine to stay there when I worked at MK). Can't wait!!!

I hope my dogs feel the same way as yours. They wanted to stay at Grandma's but it's just too long for her to have to deal with them.

One month from Thursday!! The wait is killing me :yay:

Where is everyone else? I know the ship isn't going to be empty :rolleyes1

I'M GOING!!!

Not too many people posting.

I'm trying hard to contain myself and act like no vacation is just around the corner. I thought that would help the days pass faster. Work is soooo boring. I need a vacation badly. CALGON take me away.

Are we going to try to meet somewhere/sometime on board?

I was finally able to access the online check in last night. I think I'm ready!!!! OOPS!! Haven't started packing yet!

I'm with you, Sue!! I just can't wait. The days ... are... dragging..... by!!! I need some Calgon myself :woohoo:

There's not many of us on here but I'm up for a meet? Anyone else??

Sue - I'm still not able to access the online check in. I will keep trying though.
Sure, I'm up for meet. All three of us will have a good time.

We still have a month or so, hopefully a few more people will join us.

That's weird - I've been able to access the online check-in since the day I booked the cruise (about a month ago). I've received the occassional *server busy* messages but a refresh makes it go away.

What type of errors are you getting? How frustrating that must be!! :scared1:

This is what it says...

"We're having a problem with our reservation system that will prevent you from booking your vacation package or retrieving your reservation right now. We're sorry for any inconvenience. Please call your travel agent or call (800) 951-3532 weekdays 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. ET or weekends 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET and our agents will gladly assist you. "

I never had a problem until recently. I wanted to do the on-line check in, but it won't let me. :badpc:

I guess I can keep trying or give them a call.

I finally was able to log in and "retrieve my reservation"
Now I can do the on-line check in. :woohoo:

4 weeks from today we will be in Nassau!!

4 weeks from today we will be in Nassau!!

:cool1: OHHHHHHHHHHH I can't wait!! I'm getting the "work blues" big time now!! ;) This will be the FIRST vacation that I've been away from work in TEN YEARS!! :cheer2: I've been on trips and even cruises but they've always been with my company. It will be nice to get away from phones and email!! My BlackBerry may just wind up in the ocean somewhere :rolleyes1

DD is getting very impatient. But we're getting closer every day!!!

10 years without a vacation!!! Wow, you really do need this. I can't go 6 months without some kind of break.

Is it time yet....

What do you plan on doing on the cruise? Excursions? We're doing the dolphin thing (it's DD's b-day that day!!) and the extreme getaway package on CC (but I also plan on laying... very... still for a long period of time! I think they call it... what's that?? OH! :snail: Relaxing!!! :hippie:

I also can't wait to be in my beloved Magic Kingdom again. It's been WAY too long!! When I was a CM I got to spend (almost) every day there. It was ... amazing!!! Ah, why did I ever leave???

Since we will be going full speed at WDW for 4 days prior to the cruise, the only thing I have planned for the cruise is to work on my tan. From the time I get on that boat till the time I get off, all I want to do is sleep, eat, sleep by the pool, eat by the pool, sleep some more and then eat some more.

We did the 7 night cruise in Nov. 2005 and we tried to do way too much. We had excursions booked at every port and all the activities they offer on the boat. By the time we got off the boat, we needed a vacation.

Since my husband has not been to the parks in three years, he is going to be dragging me all over. He is more excited about going to the parks, and I'm more excited about the cruise.
