It looks like everyone is busy with FE and magnet stuff!! We only have 2 months and 20 days left!!!

Our family has been sick for weeks now! It's been miserable!! I pretty much slept all last week!! The meds are working great now! In fact, Monday I woke up feeling much better until I took the dog out at 6:30am, and learned what ICE is like to "walk" on!!! Ouch!! I'm in more pain today than yesterday. I'm OK, just in pain. I am a bit worried about my knee...if it doesn't get better I"ll have it checked out..I need to get it better for all that walking on our cruise!!

Took mom to the dr last week, and her kidneys are failing. They are only working at 17 %, and when they get down to 15 % she has to go on dialysis. So she has a lot of appts coming up. It's kind of hard to accept w/everything we just went through with loosing dad. So if you think about it, keep her in your thoughts or prayers. Thanks!!

On to cruise stuff....

We got our tropical shirts in (had to send 2 back, but got the new ones in now). I ordered some very lightweight polo shirts for me! Mom is going to embroider Disney Characters on them for me! I found a bathing suit and cover up too!

I made/printed out most of our Magnets for the door last night! Just need to do a few more. Dh is going to laminate them and then we'll stick the magnet tape on them.

We may not go to Formal night dinner. Do they do the nice backdrops on Formal or Semi-Formal nights? What about the characters in formal attire...what night is that?

Heather, sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time. Your mom will be in our prayers. Make sure you take care of that knee!

We're not doing formal night. We chose that as our Palo night. We did that on the last cruise too. It just works for us. I don't have any formal wear & DH isn't crazy about wearing a suit twice. Besides, Emily is now in the anti-dress stage. I'm not spending $ on a dress she'll never wear.

Heather, The photo ops, are well worth getting dressed up for, we have used these pictures for various christmas cards and family letters. The pictures are very professional so give it alot of thought before you dismiss it.
Peter, I was laid off last week after 17 year at the same Cancer Center. I paid off the cruise with our xmas bonuses and now it is the only good thing happening our lives. I feel for you and your family, this is definately the hardest thing to go through besides losing a love one, my prayers are with you.

I think the latest idea of closing the FE was 45 days. I'm good for that. Anyone disagree? I'm still looking for ideas for guys gifts for the FE!!!! I'm clueless

It doesn't really look like we'll have too many newcomers to the group once we get that much closer. 45 is okay with me....especially since I have all the tags & such done. Not that it isn't easy to make more.....


Guy stuff......hmmmm.... I guess most of the stuff I've always done was geared more toward the women and kids. Shame on me! I know my teenage son always loves if we get candy. Fake tattoos for Pirate Night? Both my son and husband liked that one year.

I'm all for the mini airplane bottles, by the way!! But then, our room is hidden back in a corner where we won't have too many passers-by.

I'll be honest, no one in our two rooms drinks. We won't be offended if we get little airplane bottles, I just hate for you to waste the money on them for us.

Heather, I agree with John, the dress up photo opportunities are excellent! We have some of our favorite all time pictures from these two nights. Three little boys in tuxedos next to Goofy in a tuxedo - priceless!!

I understand not wanting to dress up twice, just wanted you to know. I hope you're all feeling better!
