May 23, 2009 (5/23/09) E. Caribbean w/Tortola

Thanks Guys, I think we will take your advice and just beach and snorkle the day away. What about the other stops? We sometimes use nonship excursions to save some money, anything come to mind?

Hey Angie - I just noticed something on our tickers!

Your's says you're cruising in 15 months, 2 weeks. I'm not going for 15 months, 2 weeks and a day!!! It's probably me - I'm always a day off and a buck or 2 short!!! :rotfl:

Must be me ... yours is the same as Emily's. Need to check mine ... maybe I was being overly-anxious to cruise!

We've done the glass bottom boat our first time at CC. Bad choice. Next time we did Stingray Rays, and we all enjoyed feeding the rays and snorkeling with them. Our 2nd CC day, I was quarantined in the cabin, so missed out on our cabana massage. I was supposed to do banana boat with DS that day. DH is very afraid of water and can't swim, but went with him on the banana boat in my place. I was so proud of him for doing that. My friend and I did the bike ride in November and I'd do that again if it wasn't too hot out. I think I'll try parasailing or banana boat next May.

We've done the glass bottom boat too. It was just so-so, not something I'd do again. Haven't done the stingray excursion yet. Kind of iffy on that one.

The Stingray excursion was great! I loved it. I don't know that I'd do it again unless my family wants to in September since they never have.

I feel exactly the same way. We really liked it, but it's sort of a once-is-enough sort of thing.

The dolphin swim, on the other hand... :lmao:

How good of a swimmer do I need to be for the stingrays? I'm not that good a swimmer, so...?

DH is not a swimmer, and he did fine. You stand in shallow water to feed them, then snorkel if you want to. DH was even brave enough to put on the snorkel mask and stick his face in the water, but was only in waist deep :) I actually did it a second time in November with my 2 DD's and friend, but would not do it again. Ditto on doing the dolphins again, though.

The stingrays sound fun for the boys, my wife and I swam with rays and sharks in Dominican Republic, and that was quite a experience but the water was about 12 ft for the nurse sharks, so it hard to get close to them.

We did the stingrays several years ago in Grand Cayman while on a Disney cruise. My whole family loved it....even the ones that were initially scared!
I would say go for it.

Happy Valentines Day!!:lovestruc

We took the day off of cleaning/packing up my parents house and went to John's Pass and rode a dolphin watching boat. Growing up in FL, we used to own a boat when I was a kid and we went out all the time (every other weekend) and we saw dolphins alot. I LOVE dolphins. Went swimming with them the first year Discovery Cove Sea World opened up...on my bday!! I'd love to do that again sometime.

Anyways, we had our favorite "beach pizza" decided to go on the boat last minute and loved it. It was sunny and blue skies but kind of cool. We saw alot of dolphins, alot of birds, and some houses of some famous people. It was just a nice day, and we didn't even plan it!! We went to "our beach" afterwards and walked around for a bit.

Back to work tomorrow!!!

Sounds like a fun job. Can't beat being paid to go to sporting events and concerts. Might want to be careful at the Jonas Brothers concert though, I imagine the teenage girls will be crazy that night.:lmao:

Bring ear plugs for that Jonas Bros. concert!!! Seriously, we went to the Hannah Montana/Jo Bros. concert. Emily (7) vowed that she never wants to go to the another concert ... too loud from all of those SCREAMING girls.

Hi guys,
I figured it was high time that I finally submit a photo to Heather so she can add it to the cruise list. I was kinda hoping we'd get better looking if we waited, but that doesn't seem to be happening :rotfl2:
