Thanks for the Utubes, now how much is free and how much do we need to pay like the other stops. I notice the Teen's is a actual excursion has anyone had the kids go there?

So what about these $4 prescriptions that we always hear about? I guess whatever your ds got wasn't on "the list". Is he staying back in AL with your parents?

Ang

Yeah, I've never seen a $4.oo prescription!! He is staying back in Al with my parents. He is having a pretty good time. Doing his make up school work. Papa (my dad) came up with a good way to make sure he did his work....he is going to let ds use grandma's cell phone and see how responsible he can be with it. (mom and dad just use dad's cell phone most of the time now). He is loving it. He called me from the bus stop this morning...and sent a couple of text messages this evening.

We have been working so hard on the house. We come back to the hotel and I just crash. I only went online this am to pay bills. I didn't work as hard today (ok I took a nap while DH was working hard outside:worship: ) So I thought I'd check in here and see how everyone is doing. We are going to work hard the first part of the week so we can try to take the day off on Thursday to just relax.

We found LOTS of change while cleaning up...finders keepers and all...LOL and this will go into our cruise fund!! (of course my parents know we found it and told us to keep it).

Hope everyone had a great weekend and I'll check back in later in the week!!!

Heather, good to hear from you! Glad you and DH are doing OK. :goodvibes I know you have lots of work to do, but don't push yourselves too hard.

That's sweet that your parents are sharing a cell phone with your DS! Let's see if he's willing to ever give it back! :rotfl:

With regard to the $4.00 prescriptions: Publix Supermarkets has just started offering FREE generic antibiotic prescriptions - for up to a 14 day supply! YAY Publix! :cheer2:

I love that movie! My favorite part is when it's pouring rain, and Johnny hits the car window with the post and Baby exclaims "You're wild!". I'll say that sometimes to people, cracks me up every time. :rotfl2:
Amy, what ever happend with the THINGe?
video?
:goodvibes

The CMO? Sadly, I wasn't chosen as one of the 20 semi-finalists. We know seven of them on another thread (search CMO if you're interested in seeing the winning-so-far videos). I must say that the winners have incredible videos for the most part.

Hey guys, I Know how to use the web to find out about what the different Excursions are, but the main reason I am on this thread is that alot you have done this cruise before, and can give the rest of us a real point of view. Tips on these threads are valuable, please give me insight not a link to a commericial.

Thanks

I have never done any excursions on Castaway Cay. We will do our first in August. I just enjoy the island. Here is a good site with information about Castaway Cay and the excursions there http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-port-castawaycay.cfm. The information is written by WebmasterRegina. Many of the people I know have not done excursions on this island, so it's difficult to give you information about it. We have been to Castaway Cay 7 times. I just enjoy the beach.

I normally get a massage on Castaway Cay. Then we'll just lay on the beach depending how hot it is. Last August on the trans-Atlantic, we ate lunch and went right back to the ship, it was so hot. Although, the couple of Konk Koolers I had did help to cool it down a little.:rotfl2:

We have only been on 1 DCL cruise but had 2 stops at CC. Our kids were too little to do excursion so we just hung out at the family beach on both days. We did do the all-inclusive rental for the floats, snorkels & bikes. I think it was something like $8/day. I'm not much help either.

Angie

And all I can add is that we find our days at Castaway Cay to be so relaxing - which is why the "double dip" cruises are so popular, right Angie?!

There is an area of beach for the teens. Tori, who was 13 on the 5/23/06 cruise, had a blast hanging out with the other teens. Between "The Stack" on the ship and the Teen Beach on Castaway Cay, we didn't see much of her for 7 days!! :)

DH loved the parasailing on CC. Other than that, pass the Konk Kooler please!

Pass a Konk Kooler my way please!!!!

CC is really relaxing, but if it is overly hot, I can't stand to stay out there long. Plus, on the 11 night, I got burned out there bad.

I'm hoping and praying that the weather on this cruise will be EXACTLY as it was at the same time in 2006. The weather was PERFECT! We never encountered a rain shower and the seas were very smooth. Now, it was hot at Port Canaveral & I was sweating buckets.

Regarding the excursions on Castaway Cay.....hmmmmm, let's see, 3 times I signed up for parasailing and 3 times it was cancelled at the last minute due to high winds. I finally got the feeling someone was trying to tell me something. Each time it happened I came away feeling like I had wasted precious hammock/lounge chair time since shuttling back and forth from Serenity Bay was a major schlep. Now I just plan my CC day as total rest and relaxation with a konk cooler on top!

My fiance and I did the Stingray Encounter at CC last September. It was pretty neat getting to feed them, and I'm glad we did it, but we probably won't need to experience it again.

This will be the first cruise we've taken in May, so I'm interested to see what the temps will be like. Hopefully not too bad.

Thanks! We have worn ourselves out and have been slowing down. We will def take Thursday off and visit the beach/ John's Pass. It was our favorite spot when we lived here.

Yeah, ds has already changed the ring tones, taken new pictures of the dog for a background picture, figured out how to send text messages and is asking how to change the voice mail...LOL:lmao:

We cruised in May 2005..weather was pretty good...cloudy alot..and I love the sunshine!!! So i'm hoping to get some of that on this cruise!!!

As for CC...ds and I got the package I think...only I think we did it separate! LOL we really enjoyed the bike riding!! We did it first thing in the am. Then we decided to try to snorkel in the afternoon.

Ds was only 9 at the time and he didn't go off with the kids clubs. This trip we will do the bikes again, and Dh and I hope to get a massage. But again...I love the beach and the sun...So I hope to spend lots of time relaxing on the beach!!:hippie:
