May 21, 2009 - 3 Night WONDER

This is our 2nd time on the cruise. We went back in February and we had a blast. It is so much fun!

We are arriving on Wed, May 20th as well and we will be at Ron Jon hotel. The hotel seems awesome. It has a lazy river, water slide, pool, movie theater, arcade, etc. We should be by the pool area about 2-3ish pm. Look for us - we will be the party of 11.[/QUOTE

How are you going to get to the ship? I was told I could keep my rental at ron jons I just don't know how safe that is? We might just park it at port but I think that cost like 10 bucks or something a day?

We live 3 hr away so we will be bringing our car to the port for the 3 days then heading home. How long are you staying after the cruise?

That is so cool that we are at the same hotel. There is 11 of us in our group There are 3 girls 2 are 5 and 1-6, then there is my son that is 6 also. How did you find this hotel?

I've decided to join the fish extenders. This cruise is a surprise for our girls, too. 1st Disney cruise!! We are driving down on the 20th, don't know where we're staying. We'll probably stay somewhere along the way though because we're not sure what time we'll get out of town to drive down.

Add some more girls to the list!!!

Chris & Vicki
Alyssa (11)
Peyton (4, will be 5 in July)

Our cabin number is 6109.

Lily will be 5 in June So the girls are almost the same age. After the cruise we are headed to Disney for a few days. Then back home :( I found the hotel in the AAA book I think it was. Then I looked up the website. When I saw the water rides I new it would be a hit with our daughter. I can't wait I'm going to start packing.... so much to pack! How dressed up are you all getting for dinner? Also do the adults dress up for the pirate party? I got Lily a really cute outfit on e-bay. pirate:

Where are you coming from? WE are staying at a real cool hotel called RON Jons it is in Cape Canaveral, not to far from the port. It is a type of hotel you do want to spend a bit of time at. We will be getting there around 11am so we can enjoy it before the cruise. Check it out maybe worth it. Let us know if you do end up there so we can have a pre cruise party. miss jill will also be there.

My sister in law (sneakypigs) has been on the cruise she would be a good person to ask. We will be dressing casual, my life is all about casaul exspecialy here in SFL. Our whole gang will be dressed up for pirates night!

What time does you plan arrive?

we are going to drive our car to the port and park. I think it's the safest and I believe it was $12 in Feb a day. Ron jon is kind of hidden so I'm not sure how safe that is and how much security they have driving through the parking areas.

This cruise dressing is very different than the many others I have been on. I don't think we saw anything in dresses, etc. Most were dressed very causal and comfortable. We are all about being comfortable and causal. Now pirate nice is a different story - my daughter is in love with pirates and I think sometimes she thinks she is one, so we all were pirates for Halloween and we will be wearing full costume. The rest of our gang will be dressed up as well. It was so much fun in Feb. You will love it!!

Hope we get to meet up at the pool on Wednesday so we can chat and maybe drive to the port together and have lunch on board, etc.

I second that, hopefully you guys can make the drive to Ron Jon's. The price was very good and it seems like an awesome hotel. If you end up making it, I'm sure you can't miss us. We will be party of 11 at the party and my sister in law is going to make a flag (ha, now she really has to do it). Miss Jill is going to be there as well. we will definitely have a fun time before the cruise begins.

Only 15 days until sailing with Mickey

Our trip is a surprise too! Emma's birthday is on the 25th (and Dh's is on the 24th--but he knows about the trip). We're leaving on the 19th right after school and driving to a hotel near the airport. When she asks what we are doing, I'm going to give her an early birthday gift (the cruise docs). We'll be at WDW on the 20th and drive over to the port early on the 21st.

I'm game for the movies! I never get to see non-kid movies except when I sneak off with some of my other mom-friends!

Ahh Hoy Mates,

Well the count is down :woohoo: IS everyone ready? This is a surprise for my kids and they still have know idea. It is so hard towork on the FE because they are always around. I have alot of great ideas and having lots of fun sneaking around working on it. THere sure are alot of little girls in our group 4-6. I hope I find a boy for my son to hook up with he is 6.

Well guys lots of work still to be done :laundy: K.I.T.

Emma's Mom - by the time I get to the ship I will be looking forward to sneaking off to he MOVIES also!!!:rotfl:

We're just thinking of getting a hotel along the way because we're not sure how far we'll make it that evening. If we can get off work by lunch, we'll drive all the way. If not, we'll stay along the interstate. We're coming from Montgomery.

We get to Orlando airport in the am. Then the lines for our suitcases and car. So we can be at the pool by 2 -3 ish if all goes well. Pre -cruise party I love it! After the cruise we are going to do Universal. How is this park for little ones? Then a day at the kingdom. I will be looking for all 11 of you and the big poster! 13 days.....

Universal is great for teens, but not much for little ones. The rides are to big for them and most attractions are built around fear.

Great, you will be getting there about the same time as all of us. We have all driving in different cars and not following each other but we all are planning on the same time. I think my SIL is making a flag not poster, ha!

You can pass on Universal with a 4 almost 5 year old. She will not be able to do much at all and it will be hot and she will proably get cranky. I would say spend the extra day at MGM Studios - my daughter loves it. If your daughter is into High School Musical, Little Mermaid, etc. This is the place to go. They have a High School Muscial show, Little Mermaid show, a new parade which is awesome with a lot of the newer characters, and the Fantasmic Show can't be missed. If you only do one thing I would say go to Fantasmic Show. It's out of this world. Or if you want to save some money Downtown Disney is a great place to hang out as well. They have Lego store, Rainforest Cafe and a Dinosaur Cafe to eat at, you can make your own yummy treats at Goofy's Candy Store and they are shops, etc to walk around. You can spend all day there. And if you like Disney Xmas decorations - they have a whole huge store of just Xmas decorations (this is my fav store). Definitely do Magic Kingdom though. Great rides, characters, etc.

So it looks like 8 girls and 3 boys so far (and adults, of course). Just checking, is Jordyn a girl or boy? I am making assumptions, but probably should double-check.

Thanks!

I read on the Ron Jon web site that Check in is at 4. Can we still use the pool, ect. before then? Thanks for the info on the Studios. We have been to Disney 12 times or so and this will be Lily's 5th time. Maybe we will just do a day at the Studios and the rest of the time at Disney. We will be staying at All stars and then Animal Kingdom lodge the last night we got it for under 200 the last night of our stay. Have to love mousesavers.com take a look at the site if you don't know about it.

When we called and made the reservations at Ron Jon's they stated we can check in and use the resort the whole day but our room will not be ready until late after 4pm. That's fine, we just want to sit and relax and enjoy our pre-cruise day.

You're going to love Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's great, and all the animals. You can spend a lot of time just at the hotel.

And I second that, Seaworld is great. We went for the fist time in October and my daughter keeps asking to go back.

It's almost here!! :cloud9:
