May 20th 2006 Western Magic Cruise - Who's Going?

I am not good with spreadsheets otherwise I would put together a list in a heartbeat. I think it will be so interesting to meet everyone onboard. I keep reading about green bracelets that DIS'ers wear, anybody know anything about them?

Call me pre planner if you like, I am already looking to book for 2007. I am not sure with cruise line :scratchin , maybe NCL or RCCL, does anyone have any suggestions? Party of four DS11 and DS8 at that time next year. Hoping I can get a good price booking on board :confused3 , but if not, we will move on :headache: .

Have a great day. :cool2:

Julie:

Nice post. We are not doing pre-stay. We will be flying in on Saturday morning.

Julie, I love it!! To be more specific about churchlady (which refers to my job, and trust me we Catholics can drink!) is Leigh and Mike, our DD's are 9,11,13. We'll be staying in adjoining cat.9's #2594 & 2596. We are travelling with DVC members Dawn and Brian and their DD is 13. They are in a cat. 10 in deck 7. All are staying at the new Residence Inn for night before.

For the record, I am jealous of adjoining SPH and hope to see the Roy Suite!!

I got a bright green pen today-maybe I'll wear it around my neck!!
Leigh

I have stayed in a SPH (5520) and mine was very noisy. Others have had no problems and maybe it was we just had noisy neighbors who had a totally opposite schedule then ours! BUT we will never do that again.
I have a DIS green Mickey head that goes in my lanyard and a DIS green ribbon tied on as well. My group shouldn't be too hard to spot- we are driving a motorhome down- only 2 of the families are actually coming together. My family consists of me(37), DH (43) and DD-14. We will be the ones who need a tan (even though we live on the beach in FL!- we have to work!!!) and are wearing our denium Disney Cruise shirts. The other family consists of Jim, Vick, DS-13 (birthday on the ship turning 14), DS-12. They are originally from MI but moved here to the beach before the boys were born. Ironically, they are always tan!!! We are fun and sometimes can be a little loud. We will know others coming and going because I also helped 4 other families from our town book this same cruise!!! :cheer2:

It is time for me to do the ressies as it is 75 days out.

Well, even though I don't think we will be going to Coz, I booked the Fury Cat. Sail, Snorkel and Beach party. Wanted to cover myself in case we make it there.
Also reserved Palo for Friday night.
Preregistered the kids into the club and lab.

Feel good that is finally done. :cool1:

OT: Watched the Oscars. Don't think Jon Stewart went over too well, although I loved him. :cheer2:

It is day 75! To celebrate, I am wearing my DCL pin!!!!
I went on cruisecal.com and it doesn't look like DCL will be going back to Cozumel for a while. I checked the website for a Carnival cruise we have friends going on just to check the accuracy- it had them going to Cozumel next week. It looks to be correct. I hate that DCL leaves it up in the air, we need to make our plans!!!!!

Guten Tag zusammen!

Anty told me to post in this thread, I didn´t know that there is a "meets thread", so here we are.

Me and my wife are going on this :sail: for the first time ever (of course it has to be a ::MickeyMo ship). We are staying in cat. 8, deck 7.

May-20 is our wedding anniversary (we got married in Vegas), perfect start for a special holiday, although we are staying in the Caribbean Beach for 8 days before the cruise.

Our kids had to stay at home !!! Why? Golden retrievers aren´t allowed on board .... :rotfl2:

Yesterday I saw myself :badpc: but no problems with reservations (Palo friday 6 p.m. / Rum Point Beach Adventure / CC Massages = birthday present for my wife).

I hope my english was good enough.

Greetings from Germany,

Oliver

BTW, "Guten Tag zusammen" means "Hi everybody".

Guten Tag, Oliver!

Welcome to the May 20th Disney Magic Cruise!

Donna

I have already signed my DD(7) and DS(4) for the Oceaneer's Camp. However, the DD is afraid that she will not like any of the children in her age group. Last year this was the case and we had to request that she be moved into the group with her brother. The staff was very accomodating and loved having her in the younger group.

I promised my DD that I am sure she would meet many new friends in the older age group.

Please let me know if anyone in your party will be in the 5-7 age group so I can ease my DD's mind.

I hope to hear from someone soon.

Thanks and counting the days down until May 20.

PS Booked our Seven Mile Beach excursion tonight.

I think that Kimsue has a 7 yr old girl in her group. You should let the girls e-mail or even snail mail for the next couple of months. My DD met twins on the first cruise we went on and they became fast friends- we even cruised together a couple of times!

Does your Daughter like boys to play with :sunny: I have a 7 yr ds and he loves to play with all children. :grouphug: Let me know if she's interested :thumbsup2 He (we) could send her a message. :sunny:

Hi RavenRob, These are the kids ages: Girl 11, boy 7, boy 4, boy 3, and girl 2. It is getting closer every day!!!!!!!!!! :sunny:

OK, anyone book a spa service?
I just booked the Exotic Rasul for DH and me. We were able to get it for Sunday (Key West day) at 5pm. I figure that we will go see Key West from 12-4, and then head back. The kids will be in the Lab and Club all day. :cool1:
Has anyone done the Exotic Rasul? Let me know.
Anty

Hi we are cruising with you also. Myself, DH,DD(Cassidi) age 10 and DS(Austin) age 9. This is our 2nd Disney cruise,we are excited to go but I feel guilty pulling the kids out of school. We booked the Fury sail in Cozumel and the Stingray/Rum BCH in Grand Cayman also the pirate scavanger hunt in Keywest.Anyone else doing these excursions?

We haven't booked any excursions yet and probably won't be booking any just because we enjoy doing the islands on our own without having time constraints! As far as spa- I have a stone massage on May 25 at 11. We haven't dont the exotic rasual but my SIL has before and totoally enjoyed it :sunny: She didn't bring home any souveniers though!!!!!
We did book brunch on Key West day and High Tea on the first sea day. No dinner though. We really enjoying eating with the kids since some days we don't really even meet up much. It is just a nice time to catch up and see how everyone's day was. After 8 cruises- we have never done it. I guess it just gives someone else a chance to really enjoy it. I am not giving up brunch or high tea though :teeth:
