May 20th 2006 Western Magic Cruise - Who's Going?

here is my take on Rasul from what I've read.... it is a 1 hour steam room session with a variety of muds and body products. It can be a g or x rated session depending on what floats your boat  !!!! If you search Rasul you will find a lot more detail. Apparently they knock with 10 min left and there is a shower with shampoo etc to rinse all the mud stuff off. I did read it gets very hot so may not be for everyone. Tips I read were to leave the cool water running and bring in extra towels for "comfort".
I think we will try it, at worst its an hour peace & quiet!!!

Wow, less than 200 days!!!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc  That will be here before we know it. We have booked the week prior to the cruise at Marriott Grande Vista - anyone know anything about it???

Less than 200 days!!! HOLY COW I have way too much stuff to do for the wedding.....Ok, deep and calming breath....think serene cruise!!!

Holy Smokes - time is sure moving along. Well, living it CT it is a bright spot to think about after the winters we've been having and are said to have this year!

I HATE snow!

That's great news. Now...what excursion to pick is the next dilemma! Plus I want to get in a game of mini golf while I'm there. There was a post a few months back about a couple orig. from the US that opened this biz not too far from the cruise ship area. It looked really fun! Oh and of course...the silver jewelry shopping! :cool1:

Good question.........I'm looking forward to meeting you all. :earsgirl:

sounds like fun :cool1: anyone have ideas or done a meet before??? :Pinkbounc

Anone know how I can get a "ticker" countdown thingy?? (I'm not very skilled at the computer!!)

I was very new to the boards on my first cruise, so if there was a meet I missed it. I have read threads about if one of us disers :grouphug: has the Walt or Roy suiet they invite the other disers :grouphug: over for a party and conciege does the catering as a benefit to being in the suite. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc So what do you think :rolleyes1 I'm sure everyone would show up. :grouphug: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ok crazypom, you can poke my in side later for the party suggestion. :rotfl2:

how much beer and wine can you pack in your suitcase Echo queen??? :cool1: I am not opposed to bribery pirate: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I can get a fair amount pirate: if you know what I mean. :smooth:

Just found this thread although I had posted to echo queen's post this summer!

It will be me, DH, DD 21, and her friend (hasn't decided which one yet). We booked onboard during our Wonder cruise May, 2003 and then switched to the 5/20/06 cruise when the dates opened. We were lucky and snagged 2 connecting SPH rooms. We have late seating.

I've really just started reading about the excursions and haven't booked anything yet. Probably on Key West we'll look around and shop. Of course, with college students we'll have to go to Margaritaville and Hard Rock. Looking at a stingray city excursion on Caymen. Think I'll wait on Cozumel until we get some reports on how the excursions fared after Wilma.

We will be dressing up for Pirate's Night. In fact DH and I just got back from WDW and MNSSHP and we dressed up as pirates then and had a blast. DH is really a quiet person but he really got into the spirit. I bought his costume at Walmart but mine I put together with stuff from the thrift shop, clearance racks and dollar store. DD is making her costume too.

Our whole family loves Disney and we are DVC members. We will be arriving at WDW on May 18 so we can spend Friday in the theme parks and hopefully, get to ride the new Expedition Everest at AK.

Congrats to you on your upcoming wedding, JonetteA!

Looking forward to meeting other Dis members!

Donna

Welcome Donna, I thought I started a tread before, I will have to search for it and get those Disers connected over here. We will all be in pirate costume as well. pirate:

Hmm the thought of having a family and then an adults only meeting.....ahh the options of it all! WE could go and crash some of the parties in the bar!

Thanks for the congrats on the wedding, we are goign in less than a month for our planning session and to take our engagment pictures. I will post the links after we get them if anyone is interested.

donmil723 where are you guys going to stay prior to the cruise?

JonetteA, We will be staying at BWV before the cruise.

Donna

hey everyone, according to DCL website we are going to Costa Maya! I can't believe DCL would stay away from cozumel that long but it looks like we are the last of the itinerary changes :guilty:
We were really looking forward to Cozumel but will just have to make the best of it I guess :confused3

I can't believe it. I am so bummed mainly because Cozumel was to be the highlight of our trip with the Dolphins. My daughter is going to be upset. Does anyone know if Costa Maya has a Dolphin Swim?

now the DCL website is just showing changes until the end of Jan!!! I'm glad others saw until the end of May yesterday as well (see the other thread) or I'd really think I was losing it :rotfl2: Who knows what it will show tomorrow???

I guess we'll just wait and see! We were really hoping to do the dolphin swim like you Anty30, so perhaps it is still an option???

Yep I was just going to post that it says through the Jan 28th cruise. However, I would expect that further decisions on later cruises will be made early next year.
