May 2022 and Crowds

If you were planning a trip May 2022 which week would you choose? We have always chosen Memorial Day weekend for the extra day, but seriously thinking that the excessive crowding on those last 3 days is not worth the extra day. Thoughts please? Also, wondering if they are certain school groups or others that historically come during this month. Thanks.

I would choose early May, usually not as humid, and those pesky lovebugs are just starting to show themselves. Lower crowd levels also, except for restaurants on Mother's day. of course, everything is subject to change (you can't depend on the stability of the weather)
