May 2016.. Let the planning begin!

For now I am thinking May '16. We'll celebrate our daughter finishing kindergarten and baby boy turning 3 (we'll make sure we go right before so he is still "free")

For now we're planning on staying at SoG.

I mostly need to research if anything new will be opening btw now and then. I am glad to be back in the planning groove again

We just got back less than a week ago and enjoyed the weather and the crowd levels so much that we plan on returning the first week of May 2016. We waited maybe 10 minutes for Winnie the Pooh and that was the longest wait we had. With the interactive queue we didn't even notice! We had FP+ for 7DMT, Enchanted Tales w Belle, A&E, SplashM, Soarin', Toy Story Midway... and a few more but really only needed the ones for A&E, Soarin and Mine Train... We had a fabulous time and I can't wait to book 2016!

We are in!!! We went around the 12th of May in 2012 and it was FANTASTIC!!! Perfect weather. Low crowds. It was hands down our best vacation experience ever.

We were originally planning to go this October, but are switching to next May to wait for my DS to be a little bit older. Sad about missing Food and Wine festival, but we've gone in May/June in the past and love that time of year!

DH doesn't know this, but I am looking at the last week of May (May 28-June 5 technically) for a family trip next year. Dh and I are going in October so I am hoping to score a good bounce back discount, but if not I will be looking for other options.

The kids official last day of school is June 2 and the 30th is memorial day so they are only missing 2 1/2 days of school plus DD would miss kindergarten graduation, but really who remembers that right and how much are they really going to do that last week?

we're looking at mid-May 2016 too and i'm already excited! it'll be our 20-year wedding anniversary so we're thinking Poly or GF... good thing we'll have a while to pay it off. hoping for a good discount offer. we'll be living on ramen noodles and tap water until then... :rotfl:

Joining in! Planning a short trip before Disney Cruise for daughter's graduation in May 2016. Hope we get lucky on few snow days so we can go just a little earlier than Memorial Day.

Sign me up too. This will be our first time in the Spring. I hope it is as nice as everyone says it is that time of the year. Looking at May 14-22

We are also looking at the end of may beginning of June 2016. How are crowd levels in the beginning of June? Someone mentioned FD being offered in the past. Was this toward the end of the month? So excited to finally be planning our next trip.

We were there in 2011, and it was wonderful. That was before they did the food booths though, I'm worried about Food & Wine level crowds now.

We were at Disney for F&W this past Sept, and at D for F&G in May this yr. The crowds at Epcot were more manageable by far in May than in Sept. ( We didn't find the crowds to be any different at MK during the 2 times periods )

That is good to hear! We did Food & Wine for the first time last year, and World Showcase was just about unbearable for me. We ended up leaving the park at about 5pm our last night there, it was just too crazy.

I don't think they've offered free dining to US residents in May since 2011 or so, that's when we had it =(

Anyone booking tomorrow? Hope that starts the fun in here!

Do you know if they offer any discounts in may? We've gone in October, November and December but I don't remember discounts from past Mays. Thanks

Mousesavers shows room only discounts the past few years. This will be our first big trip without free dining, it's tough to think about! It's always worked out as the best discount for us since we stay in values.

We've had free dining as well. If I can get a room only discount, I'll take it. It's better than nothing. We've stayed at WL, Pop and ASMu. This time we're looking at CBR, Poly or AKL. We're also going to the dark side for a few days so we might stick with a moderate to conserve cash.

Does anyone know where I can look for room pricing for the hotels? I can't see next years prices yet (until tomorrow maybe?) and am curious what prices were this May/June. Thanks
