May 2014 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post

Going to be cancelling the following (all for 4, 2 adults and 2 children if it matters):

BOG- 5/12 @ 7:25 p.m.
BOG- 5/13 @ 7:40 p.m.
Crystal Palace- 5/15 @ 8:10 a.m.
Akershus- 5/16 @ 8:10 a.m.

I'll wait for p.m.'s for a day or two before cancelling.

BOG- 5/12 @ 7:25 p.m. still available, going to cancel today if no interest.

H&V, 5/4: 8:25am
Sci Fi, 5/5: 8:20am (I think this one is call in only)

These I can hold but only until early tomorrow as we are leaving Friday.

Is it best to call to pick up a cancellation, or will it show up online? I keep checking online every day but not sure what is the best way?

Welcome!! This thread has been heating up lately... If someone posts about a cancellation, you can PM them to try and coordinate - basically, you agree on a time, they drop the ressie and you keep refreshing your screen to hopefully grab it. We didn't book 180 days out so everything I have is a picked up cancellation, mostly just by chance. There's not better time of day really... if you are looking for one meal, one particular day then your best bet is to use the online site and just keep refreshing it during the day. If you are like me, and are flexible on your date / time then you can use the Dining Search tool here. I've had a lot of success with this.
