Are there many May 2013 WDW trippers? We'll be there from 4th to 21st, flying Virgin and staying offsite in two villas. There are 11 of us, 9 adults and 2 toddlers (14mos and 2yrs) Just wanted to see if there'll be many UK Disers around at the same time :goodvibes

Me!!! We are flying out on 6th May returning 20th. Flights with British Airways. Will be me, DH, two kids, my parents and brother, staying at Saratoga Springs.

We are flying out with Virgin from Manchester 2nd May to 16th. Staying at OKW. Just the 2 of us.

Yes Ma'am!! :) We'll be there from April 27th to May 11th, staying in OKW!

We're 4 adults - we all met whilst working at WDW on a summer work experience thingumajig in the Summer of 2011. So it's kinda like going back 'home' for us :goodvibes three of us are from the UK, and the other member of our group is from Wisconsin. I've seen the UK girls tonnes of times since we returned from our adventure, but haven't seen my American friend since - and I can't think of a better place for a reunion than where it all started!

Oh dear, I'm getting emosh now :rotfl:

Fingers crossed I meet some DISers whilst there!

I've assured myself that once 2013 is in, the time to the holiday will fly by as it will be taken up by hospital placements and finals revision for med school!!

120 DAYS!!!

120 DAYS!!!

We love OKW, hoping we can get a water view again near hospitality house.

Beth you will have to wear a pin so we can recognise you.
Good luck with your exams, one of my twin grandaughters has just started at Sheffield and the other one is taking a year out and working with me, She starts her Midwifery degree at Manchester next year.

Yay! So there will be a few of us there at the same time!! :) Its a nice time of year to go IMO, we honeymooned there in May 2011 and the weather was perfect. Crowds were hit and miss but that was mostly my own fault for not checking a crowd calendar like I usually would, instead we went with the flow which was a nice change of pace.
Beth that sounds like a fab reunion :goodvibes We should all wear something so we can be recognised to each other :)

Lots of people mention preferences for OKW... i'm intrigued! I've never visited the resort, so it'll be pot luck for us!

Your grandaughter will love midwifery! I did a 4 week placement on the maternity ward as a medical student - no way was it long enough! I loved it, and was soooo jealous of all the midwifery students who were there at the same time, getting to do that as a career!

Have never been in May, so was wondering about crowds etc. Is the weather hot then? Can't wait for a bit of heat then!

And yes, we'll all have to crack out the LGMHs!! Will attach one to my bag :)

What are LGMH's?????

What are LGMH's?????

LGMHs = lime green mickey heads. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they are like a 'symbol' of the DIS or something :) like people hang them off their bags etc maybe with their DIS name on so that when you're walking around WDW, people can spot them and know you're from the DIS :)

Haven't heard them mentioned for a while.... Do people still use them? It's an easy way to spot fellow DISers!

11th May we'll be there, just the two of us Two weeks at CSR I can't wait! Never been in may before.

With regards to being a nurse or a midwife I have to say that the time I spent on the labour ward in labour earlier this year when my DS was born was the best time of my life! My midwives who helped birth my son were called Patricia and Mary and they have a special place in my heart forever! I honestly think that you have to be a very special person to be a midwife :)

As for May crowds/weather etc well the parks are fine most days except DHS on the Star Wars weekends - now those days are crazy!! And on Memorial day which is the last Monday of the month I *think*. We didnt realise that the last time and woah, was it madness lol! But the sales are good ;)
The weather is great, really warm. I got a great tan the last time even wearing Factor 20 (I've very sallow skin anyway but don't take chances with a lower factor.)
Hmm...LGMHs - I must see if I can find them! Can you buy them online or are they something we make ourselves? I'm not very arts-and-crafty lol!

It's just a piece of card in the shape of a Mickey head and in lime green - can laminate it to make it stronger. If you do a Google Image search, some come up and you can just print them off I guess :)

I think they stemmed from some paint colour cards that you could get in Home Depot in the US... we obviously don't get them here in the UK, so we can make our own :)

Just found this thread; someone has very helpfully included some to print in there :) http://www.www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2919938&highlight=lime+green+mickey+head

Christmas took my mind off of it for a bit, but now that that's over I feel like I'm going to explode with excitement haha

I'm hoping to persuade DBF to let me book a late deal when April rolls round, I seriously doubt he'll let me but I can always dream haha!!! May is a lovely time to go :)

Just watched your Wishes Dessert Party video, the view is so good! How much was it to book? We're considering doing it but not sure if it's worth it :confused3
