May 2011 Code Watch

I got this one in the mail yesterday...unfortunatly..I cant use it

Still waiting and hopeful that we will get some type of discount. Right now everything is rack rate.

I never get anything.....ever, lol. :confused3

Don't feel like a loner! I've been to WDW 15 times and have never ever received a pin code. I've tried all the tricks....multiple email addresses, saving vacation quotes, making itineraries, etc. But nothing's ever worked for me. Guess Disney knows I'll head their way even if I don't get a pin code.

Don't feel bad. As an AP holder I go to WDW several times every year and have yet to get a PIN. I've tried multiple email addresses, saving vacation quotes, making itineraries, do every survey I can get my hands on, etc and still nada. I guess due to my history they know I'm coming down there several times a year, so think they don't have to send me a PIN.:rotfl:

That's exactly why I think Disney doesn't send me any pins either. My mother who traveled to Disney with us this past May (her very first onsite stay...only second visit to WDW ever), has received three different pin offers. Darn it all!

Oh that's funny, but I think you are right. My mom got a PIN about a year and half ago. The only time she has ever been to WDW is when she's gone with me as guest in the room, with me the lead name. She doesn't even know how to log onto a computer. Her PIN came in the mail. She lives with me. When I called, they said I couldn't use it though.:confused3 Someone here on the DIS siad that since she did actually live with me to keep calling. Finally on the fourth call I got a CM who let me use it. The only thing is, a few months later an AP code came out that barely beat it, so I switched.:rotfl:

I don't know if any of you have tried any of these, but they work for us so I thought I'd pass it along. We always book trips under my name, so I rarely get a pin code. In an attempt to outsmart the powers that be, we set up a few email accounts under DF's name, one with his parents address and one with ours (he's in process of moving in with me but it won't be complete until we're married). Even though just the 2 of us actually go, we make and save itineraries and trip quotes for parties of 2 and 4, including 2 children we don't have. We also schedule ADR's in each of our names as soon as the 180 day window opens, and move 'em under the same name when we're close to our departure date. Since DF's permanent address is still his parents house, and my parents house is listed as my school address, we set up email addresses, itineraries, and trips under our families names, and the pin codes my mom gets always work for us. It's happened 3 times so far- my mom gets a code, I call to apply it giving all my legit info- email, address, etc and I flat out tell them it's my moms code. Sometimes the CM won't even try to apply it, so I call until I get one that will, and it always goes through. HTH! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone! I have been a lot as well, so I assume that's why I haven't gotten one! I was just having a pity party ;)

Hopefully an offer the the general public will open up soon!!

FYI--I always get my PIN codes vial email, but I just got one via snail mail this time! This one includes every day in May and it's a 40% off--exactly what I've been waiting for! :thumbsup2 Time to book!!

For those interested, it was a large tri-fold mailer, light blue with a picture of a little girl and Cinderella hugging on the outside.

Congrats on the pin. I am still waiting. Hope to get one soon.

I never get codes either...but I do get codes in the name of folks who have gone with me to my address. I got one earlier this year with my sister's name but she has never gone with me (or lived in my house). At one point she was listed on a reservation but she was taken off before I went.

Luckily one of my friend's DH's who is going we me in May got a code. She was able to book the reservation with her name as the lead even though her DH isn't going with us.

Why, oh why, is May not getting any love from WDW??? Why is the beginning of May not included in the new offer???:sad1:

Well the end of May has the free dining offer. I was hoping the new discounts would have SOMETHING for the beginning of May.

Here's hoping for a deal to come out at the end of Dec. for the beginning of May.

I'm SURE they will announce something for early may later this autumn or in early january.
If they judged they needed a bosst in sales during spring break season, they WILL offer a little something for the weeks following the Easter break.

Keep the faith guys, keep the faith!

That is it exactly. I am really hoping for a good discount for the beginning of May. Not sure if I want it to be free dining though. I am afraid that free dining would bring in a huge crowd with it. A good room discount or gift card offer would be nice. And since we are just wishing here, the buy 4 get 3 days offer would be FANTASTIC!! :)

I agree with people that are saying to watch the end of December for the next release of deals.

I too am planning a May/June trip. I will know after Thanksgiving how many aer going so that I can get it started! People always think I am rushing them but this is the latest I've ever planned a trip! Just hoping I can get what I want as far as rooms and dinning. Would like to book through Dreams but I think I have to go through Disney to use my reward points and a pin. Is that correct?
