3 weeks to go for us! We'll be at the Residence Inn Marriott Maingate from the 15th to the 21st, and hitting DLR for probably 6 of those days. Its me, the wifey, and our DD.

Workin on our "to do" list this week. Good thing we've started early...the wife can't seem to recall where she put the pocket video cam!!

Been about 12 years since I've been back to Disneyland. Used to live in LA and with the old Annual Pass I would be there once or twice a week. Nice to finally be going back. We've been talking about upgrading the 6 day passes to Deluxe AP's on the last day...still up in the air about that one though.

Truly excited! We leave in 3 days for our 24hr flight to LA! Then it's off to SD and then DL for 6 days!! Whoot!

All the toiletries are packed. Only because they were left basically untouched from last year. Love that I can just set that aside and have it ready to go when I am.

Snacks have been started.

Passes have been printed.

Physical conditioning has been started. Winter has been harsh to the walking muscles this year.

Yep switched from my usual elliptical and now on the treadmill for the next few weeks to get those muscles ready!

This is the longest I have ever waited to pack. I haven't even made my list yet!

I have a few oddball things that I've added to a list as I thought of them and a few more things thrown into a drawer that we'll bring. But other than that nothing, and we leave Sat evening to stay with DBF's brother who will take us to the airport Sunday morning. I'm not too worried yet since it's only Monday and it's only me and DBF, plus I'm a procrastinator so I work better last minute!

So excited to be leaving in 3 days. All the suitcases are packed - all that's left is just some last minute items for my backpack. Our flights are supercrowed (or at least appear that way) which will be quite a change from our barely half full flights two years ago. Hopefully DH will be okay and either sleep or let his iPad entertain him - I just can't afford to upgrade us to first class this time. Still holding off on buying our tickets until Monday night just in case there is some last minute deal. I know its not likely but I'd kick myself if I bought today and a discount came out on Monday.

I will be there only 2 days but I'm from San Diego so we go a lot. Only DL this time, no CA. We are staying at the Grand Californian May 8th and 9th. There are 6 of us in 2 rooms.

I am so excited. WE are leaving home in just 3 days, and will be in Disneyland in 5.

I have my vacation book put together, and I am finishing laundry today so I can pack tomorrow.

My son is packed since we leave on Sat but will be going to Park City for a week before heading on to DL 2 weeks from yesterday!!
Managed to find somebody who was willing to rent me about-to-expire points at the DLH so it looks like we'll be staying there instead of FFI. Although I did want to see the refurb at FFI w AP's those prepark opening WOC FPs will come in handy! Does anybody know if the ticket/ap has to be activated at the main gate before it will work at WOC? Would love to know if I could send one party member to fetch those while the rest of us grab bkfast/sleep in or if we all have to go together. Guess I can ask the front desk if no one here knows.

12 days to go here. Confirmed the hotel reservation (got paranoid listening to a podcast last night). Got the rental car all squared away. Opted for the full, figured 24 hours round trip driving time plus running up to the Valley to visit dad and my sister a few times a week, it might as well be comfortable. My brother is able to come along, which we're excited about.

Funny story. I posted earlier about my wife not being able to find our pocket camcorder. We looked for hours for it. Finally we gave up, and started looking online for a replacement. Decided on the rugged Kodak ZX5 (we do lots of outdoor stuff, plus we have a 5 year old! ) which actually is a big improvement over our ZX1 we couldn't find. Well after deciding on it, the new SD cards for it (we had our old one in the old camcorder) and an instant charger for it, was all ready to hit the payment button when my wife stumbled across the old one we couldn't find! Well, long story short, since we already really liked the new one, we bought it anyway and will take both cams on our trip!

Started breaking in our new NB shoes...figure 2 weeks should be good enough.

Still on the "To Do" list...

1) Buy our tickets (waiting to see if we get a 5 for 3, otherwise its the 6 day)
2) Get our Vegas hotel for 1 night (not too worried about this one, still plenty of time)
3) Last minute clothes shopping (waiting to see if we need more pairs of shorts or not)
4) PACK!!!!

My family will be arriving 2 weeks from friday! So excited! We will probably go once or twice before our weekend trip with them but I am like a child, can't stop smiling! I can't wait because it will be the first visit for one of the kids on this trip. My kids love going sooo much so I know she'll be so excited and fun to watch

I'm tempted to pack but since it'll be 90 here all week I'll be needing my shorts!

we are all set for May 12-16, at BWPPI, with myself, daughter (28), grandson (4), daughter's b.f.; and then meeting my daughter (30), her SO, 32, and two adorable granddaughters, 4, and 2. Will be the little girls' first time at disney!

Just letting you all know about this concert:

Foothill High School Symphonic Band and Jazz Band will be performing at the
Hollywood Backlot in DCA on Saturday, May 21st from 10:30 am - 12:00 noon.

These bands have won many competitions and awards.

We would love to see a HUGE crowd for them!
