May 2008 code watch

So bummed. Just called Disney and the discount code for Visa members is no longer available for the Poly rooms (all used up)

Sorry, slightly OT - I just got the disney visa offer for my 7 day tickets, but hadn't planned any days of our trip to use the waterparks, etc. If I purchase the No Expiration option for those tickets does it mean that I will still have 7 uses of the water park fun and more to use on future trips?

Heathermm - I called last night and they told me the same thing about the WL, but called again this morning and one magically apperared, so keep trying. Maybe you'll get some pixie dust!pixiedust:

Yes but it would cost you about $100/ticket-more than just buying the WP&M the next time you go.

I want to make sure I understand this correctly. I have a MYM package booked right now, if I call on 2/21 I should be able to upgrade my base tickets to the all inclusive tickets? We had the hoppers added, but removed that option, thinking we would probably not use it- at least not for the price, but we would love to have the option for free.

We don’t have any discounts right now and are looking for something, anything to help make it a little more special.

We don’t have a code or Disney Visa, so I will have to wait until it becomes public, but I will take it!

I got the visa email this morning and called right away. We had to switch to a Savanna view with bunk instead of 2 queens for our 5/10-17 stay at AKL because it wasn't available any more for the 2 queen rooms for the time of our trip. That was fast!! We did end up saving a couple of hundred despite having to pay more for our room.

questions: with the limited # of rooms, do they further categorize them based on your dining plan choice? Meaning, we had a 2 queen savanna view room with deluxe dining, but the discount was sold out for 2 queen sv rooms. Was that just for those with deluxe dining or would that be for everyone regardless of dining choice? Also, the discount was only for free hopper and water fun and more options, right? So why do they have 3 different codes based on what dining plan you have? Is it due to my above question regarding the limited room availability?

My friend is looking for AKL and I was wondering if the code worked there. She has not called yet because her son fell and broke his foot last night and has been at the hospital or doctors office sense then. She just called me and said she is going to try to book the room tonight. If she can't get the code it sounds like AAA is the way to go. They want May 4th to the 10th.

Ok I have a question for you all: From what I can tell this next code will only go until the 21, what happens for those of us like me who are not going to check in until a week later? In the past have the offered any discounts for that time period?

From what the CM told me today as I was booking my package(we just decided a few wks ago to change our dates from late may to the first of may)that there would be no discounts over Memorial day holiday. She said that there 2008 booking are up for the yr. Last yr the dates over MD were also blacked out but if you started your Room dates before the holiday you were covered at the same price your entire stay. As of 2008 Disney changed there policy and you pay for each night seperate so the wkend of memorial day will be at the high price than the rest of your dates Does that make sense? You may be able to get an AP rate for some of your dates. Its a wait and see game. Some CM can be mistaking on there info and knowbody knows for sure what disney does until the day they do it.hopefully something will come your way.
This is what they had for last yr:

4/15/07- 5/23/07 package and room-only discounts for general public 3/8/07, exp 4/14/07
4/15/07-5/24/07 Annual Passholder room-only rates (until approx. 3/6/07, the check-in dates were 4/15/07-6/2/07) 2/21/07, exp 5/24/07 4/15/07-6/2/07 package discounts for general public 1/11/07, exp 2/18/07
4/15/07-6/2/07 Florida resident room-only rates 2/22/07, exp 6/2/07
6/3/07-8/4/07 Annual Passholder room-only rates for Deluxe/DVC resorts 5/16/07, exp 8/4/07

BTW we also live in central Illinois around peoria and we usually fly out of bloomington. How about you guy's

We are due to check in the day after md, wanted to go a week earlier, but due to being low on the senority pole at work I had no choice. Oh well I can always hope for pixie dust

AP's are out. I was told you have to book a package(no tickets required) with DDP to get it but that CM was wrong. I saved about $62 MORE than AAA on standard room at Pop for 6 nights 5/4 to 5/10. I did book with DDP.

I was able to get $91 per night off of Polynesian lagoon view concierge. There was no AP discount for garden concierge. I was offered the package with dining, but I declined, and I was still able to get that discount. :)

You don't have to buy the DDP in order to get the room discount. It's an add on. Lots of folks are getting an AP discount and not adding the DDP to their reservation.

That is very good news!!!

:scared: I kept telling the CM that lots of folks wouldn't be happy that they have to buy the DDP and she kept telling me that that was the only thing she had. I must have asked her 3 or 4 times are you sure I HAVE to get DDP? And she kept insisting. It does work for me but I'm not happy that she at best was misinformed and at worse lied to be to get DDP. She kept telling me how GREAT is was and how much I would LOVE it.:headache:

i'm confused. are there offers out or not? are they just for ap or for the general public? is it a ticket upgrade or room rate?:confused3

It appears there are two offers right now:

AP rates have been released this morning. You can choose to add the DDP to your reservation.

Visa Promotion is available for ticket upgrade.

i just called and asked if they had any codes and she told me that i had to give her the code that they do not tell us and if i could not tell her the exact offer i was out of luck.
not the most helpful agent i have had!:snooty:

Just booked POR with AP discount

4 adults in one standard view room: $1387.14

Tried booking POFQ but wasn't available with any discounts.

For the AP holders I found this on another thread:

Room only: FJC
With dining: ANA

But I read that more people have called several times and just asked about AP rates and they got it. Just call and see if it applies for you.

By the way, do you think this AP rate will also become public? And if yes, when, do you think?
