I have been checking the USAir site and it is $206.50 from Philadelphia to MCO and so far the times are exactly what I want. When does Airtran release their schedules for May? I have been checking their website and called today and got a super friendly:rolleyes: associate who had no idea when they release them.

So, should I just go for on USAir? We are doing a 3 day Vero and then 4 days at BWV so I want to leave on an 8am flight going down.

Thanks

i too fly out of philly and i never have to pay over $200. unless you are nervous about losing the times, i would wait. i usually pay $150-$170 for round-trip air on usair. i just went to animal kingdom lodge in august for $159 roundtrip on airtran and i bought the tickets in june. they had plenty of seats left. i even decided to take my nephew 2 weeks before our trip and got him a ticket on our flight for $181 roundtrip.

forgot to mention that i was able to get early flights our first day (8AM) and late flights our last day (9pm).

What day of the week are you going? I've found USAir flights on Saturday book up fast at least out of Pittsburgh because they don't have as many flights on Saturday. I lucked out for this December, prices were really high and then one day I checked in July or August and it was $209 so I booked it. I checked the same flights recently and they were $362.

Are the rates you mention out of Philly with tax? I am trying to book flights from Philly and I've looked on all of the discount sites and the cheapest I could find is $211 per ticket, including taxes.

I live closer to LVIA/ABE, but aside from the flights having a stop:rolleyes: , I can't find anything there for less than $250 per ticket...

Speaking of Philly, do any of you know how much long term parking is per day? I'm considering flying from Philly, but it's got to be worth it for us to park there vs. flying from ABE....

Marcy, Have you considered southeast?? We usually fly delta, but we are considering seal because of non-stop to sanford and the price. We have friends who have flown se numerous times and were happy with them.

twinsmom&dad,
We're also in the Lehigh Valley....small world, isn't it? I considered SEAL, but I can't seem to find airfare on their website? Do you know how much it is roundtrip? Also, we've never flown into Sanford before, and we never rent a car. I wonder if Tiffany Towncar would pick us up at Sanford and if it would cost us more for the transfer?

When is your next trip to WDW?

We are planning a trip in 8/04. I found on the lvia.org site a link to southeast airlines. I could not check rates for aug. as they are not that far ahead on the website, but I did check for dates feb.(seems as far as they go now)(maybe need to call seal)Those rates were posted as $59 or $89 each way depending on the day. Those seats and prices are limited I think.I don not know about car service, sorry, as we rent or have my parents pick us up(lucky us) depending on our plans.

i don't know if this helps, but I did a search for airfare on (this is bad) flights to mco from abe and I can't remember who the search was through:confused: . But it had prices for roundtrip of $194 for delta and usair. the times were not good for us and the people going with us (4 or 5 families) would rather a direct flight. If i come across the site or prices I will let you know. Hope this helps.

Hi Marcy in PA and others interested in Southeast out of LVIA,

I went on their website www.flyseal.com and found that they have added rates up til May 2004.

We're going the end of April and got 4 tickets for a total including tax of $532.00!! I thought that was great. It looks like all of April is $59 unless it goes up closer to the time. May rates are only through the 10th for now.

We were originally going the 24th but there is a flight Fri night at 6pm and we found a great rate at the Holiday inn right near Sanford airport for the first nite. So now we have ALL of Saturday instead of part of the day!

As far as transportation to Disney, my travel person from Dreams said she always uses www.fltours.com for transport from the airport and said they are great! I checked on a roundtrip from Sanford and it looked to be over $200.

By the way, this is only our 2nd time flying because we are chicken!! But, school only gives 5 unexcused days off a year so we're kinda stuck! THe brother of someone I work with has used Southeast airlines at least 3 times and has no complaints.

I have checked prices for flights from ABE also. With transfers it cost more to fly out of ABE if you are using a towncar. The cheapest I've gotten flights out of philly to arrive early and depart late were around $180 per person. If you find them under $200 I would grab them. We always end up flying out of Philly. If you are leaving early, there are virtually no lines to check in but you usually have to wait in line for security. Hope this helps
