May 20-23, 2016 /3-Night Disney Dream Bahamas Cruise

:)Okay so how does this work? Is it a day by day activity where I deliver the gifts for each day on the cruise or just one day? Is there a specific time that we need to deliver the gifts? What is the spending limit? Do we buy a specific family gifts or everyone on this thread? Sorry for asking so many questions just trying to prepare myself.

This is also my first cruise and first time participating in Fish Extenders, so I definitely understand.

There is not a specific gift giving "rule book". However, there are rules on how we discuss FE info for our security (i.e. social media). I will post that in a separate post. Generally, each FE group decides amongst themselves if they want certain rules. These can be, as you stated, rules like price limits, how many nights, individual gifts, family gifts, etc. Some groups don't have any rules. Our group doesn't have any yet. The time of gift delivery is up to the gift giver. Make it as fun and convenient as possible!

The gifts can be a anything. Some examples are: something homemade, an item representing your home state or something purchased. A lot of people on Disboard have mentioned magnets for the cabin doors, something pirate related, hand sanitizer, or anything Disney themed. So, it can be basically anything.

I will be keeping a list of members participating and send it out on April 21st. If anyone in the FE group wants an incomplete list beforehand to see where we are, I'll be happy to send it via private message. I can also PM each new member with a Q&A family info list to return to me if that makes it easier. So, if anyone wants me to PM them, just let me know. Marilu, you already told me your info. ☺

I'll post a few Disboard links of info in a separate post for you.

I have discovered a new piece of info for FE. Some groups have group size limits. This may be something we want to think about and discuss as the deadline gets closer. Maybe groups of 10-15 rooms? One group named each group with characters; Group Mickey, Group Minnie, etc.

For those of you that have participated, how many rooms or members were in your group?

The first time we did FEs, we had well over 60 rooms. We broke the list out into groups of 15. But people could sign up on more than one list. Some cruises I've read just had one list (with however many room signed up by the cut off date). Other groups closed the list on the cut off date OR when XX number of rooms was reached. If someone wanted to join the FE group after it was closed, they had to start their own list.

It's up to the participants in each FE group to determine which method will work for their group.

Tawiker, I tried to PM you, but you need one more post to receive messages. So, if you reply to this post you'll have 10! I think it takes 30 minutes to update and then I will try again. Thanks!

Thanks! Lost track of the thread. Will try to PM you now. Thanks!

How many cabins do you have so far?

I've had a total of 8 cabins want to join. I've received 3 cabins' information so far (including myself). Most of the activity on our cruise board has been within the past two weeks. So, it will be very exciting to see how many we end up with as we get closer to our cruise date!

I found this link from the **** page for this cruise. There was very little activity on the page. Someone said it was a "no-no" to mention this page over there and **** over here. I don't want to offend anyone by doing that but this is our first FE experience and just trying to figure things out. I would assume that there really is no difference in where we virtually meet and organize so any information on this would be great.

Thank you Dis_Emouse03 for organizing the FE group. This is our first Disney cruise and we are super-excited! We would love to join the FE group. Do I post our information here or through a personal email. Thank you for your help!

Shulie13, would you be willing to coordinate fish extenders??

I am sorry I will not be able to Coordinate on this cruise, I saw that you have one now. My youngest daughter is getting married 2 weeks after the cruise and this is the first time I will not be doing a FE. I will help in any way I can, if people need IDEAS or places to buy things(for those of us not crafty) Julie

Sorry for the late reply! You are very welcome! This is also my very first cruise!!! :)

You can post your information to the public board or send a private message by creating a "conversation". You are required by disboards to have 10 posts in order to send or receive a private message. This is so the website will recognize that you are a person and not a machine.
