May 2, 2016 Disney Dream

My wife (31), DD (13), and I (36) will be on this cruise. It's our 3rd cruise! Looking for any other Edge-aged girls for my daughter to spend time with. She is pretty good about making friends and being back to the room on time. Looking forward to enjoying Palo brunch, Palo dinner, and spending time reading on the deck. I'm also looking forward to BBQ on Castaway Cay, catching some movies, and sitting in those comfy chairs in the Adult section with my wife. We thoroughly enjoy dressing up for dinner, people watching, and doing the mixology classes. We just had a baby in June, but we are leaving the little guy at home with Grandma for this cruise.

Is it May yet?

Hi all, I just booked this cruise. My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We did a 4 day on the Wonder for our honeymoon and said we couldn't wait to bring back our future kids. We are now so excited to share this experience with our daughter (7) and son (3). I just found out about FE but still not sure how it really works.

Thanks

Hi guys! Thanks for letting me know this thread was here. Our last cruise didn't have one. Our party will be me, DD (3), and my parents (70's). DH won't fly so he only vacations every 2-3 years since he takes longer to drive. Silly boy. He's jealous of us though because he loved our last trip. :P

Anyway, we went on our first cruise a couple weeks ago, came home, and booked again! I really wanted to do a B2B, but it just didn't pan out. Oh well, four night are going to be great!

Hi everyone! My family and I will be joining you all on the May 2 Disney Dream!!! We are super excited! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise and our parents will be joining us for their first cruise!!!!
I was looking around for a fish extender group and have not been able to find one. Anyone know where we can sign up and a Facebook group as well??

No need to create groups/documents outside of this thread, everyone! Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and Fish Extender (FE) discussions right here on The DIS as they have since FE began (also here on The DIS) many, many years ago.

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via a conversation message in your profile here. We've found that the best way to organize the "spreadsheet" without sharing private info is to upload the pdf into a conversation and share it only with the designated people who signed up.

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted, offered or discussed by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, here on the Cruise Line forum, etc.).

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.[/QUOTE

Hello. May family and I will be setting sail with you all on the May 2 cruise..we would love to join a FE. Can you provide more guidance on how to do so?

We are booked and so excited!! We will be at Disney World for a few days before for our younger daughters all star cheer competition and then will head to the cruise for some fun :) :) It will be my husband and I and our two daughters one who will be 18 and the other who will be 13. I will be celebrating my 40th on Castaway Cay and I am praying I will be able to snag a cabana. This will be cruise number 5 but I do realize it is still a very slim chance. We are going on our 4th Disney cruise in January and we could not get a cabana...I look everyday and will continue to (ok several times a day) I won't give up. Look forward to sailing with all of you.

Hi everybody -- my kiddo and I are sailing for the very first time and are so excited. We are always looking to connect with new friends, so please introduce yourselves to me and let me know if you'll be doing Fish Extenders. I have started trying to collect some ideas for our "gifts" to anyone who wants to participate with us ... it sounds like a really fun activity to add something special to the trip!

Also, I wanted to ask here if anyone has previously sailed to the Bahamas. I am hearing mixed reviews about Atlantis -- a lot of people have told me that it's not worth the money, and that if you compare a Disney waterpark to it, which is about one-fifth of the cost, it's not even in the same league. Do you veteran sailors stay on the ship for the Bahamas day while everyone leaves, or is there an excursion that you can recommend? I keep thinking it may be best for us to stay put and use my cash for an excursion at Castaway Cay, but I'm on the fence. Thanks!

Hi -- I was looking for it, too, and I don't see it. How does it work? Does someone just take the lead and organize it?

Hi! I think that you can have conversations (PMs) once you have 10 posts. Shoot me a note.

Hello! This will be our first cruise and first Disney cruise! It will be my sister(29) and I(25) who come from Japan.

I'd like to know what should I do before our FE. I'm choosing the presents but I don't know well how does it work.

Hi! We are excited to be onboard as our first ever cruise and family vacation! Our boys (13 & 9) would love to meet some new friends to hang with! :)

Booked for the 2 May 2016 cruise. This will be my 4th DCL cruise and the 1st for my sister, brother in law, niece and nephew. We are interested in FE if there is a list.
