May 2, 2014 - A WONDERous trip through the Locks WBPC

FE # 2 has closed, and the list has been sent to both group 1 and group 2. It has 21 rooms because 19&20 signed up within seconds of each other! As before, if you want in on group 3, please fill the form out again. I will lock the group again at 20 staterooms, and start the next group when #3 closes.

Edit: group 3 already has 6 rooms.

Hi, I filled in the form when fe2 had 14 on it. I haven't received a list of people yet. Wondering if I filled out form correctly or if I just haven't received list yet.

Thanks

Geri

With all due respect to Jeff. When it comes to private tours he is correct. The good ones will do everything possible to get you back in time for the ship. After all this is how they make their living. It's the unforeseen or the completely unpredictable that worries me and that's why I will never do a private tour. If those issues arise on the DCL trip, they either wait or get you caught up to the ship on DCL's dime. That won't happen if you are not on one of their excursions.

I, too, only book with DCL due to pure paranoia. Plus, I can't take the time to research other companies -- just my preference. But I see nothing wrong with using reputable companies if people want to.

Neither do I, but like you I am to paranoid. I live by, plan for the worst and hope for the best. At least when I am on a DCL excursion I know I have nothing to worry about. Sent from my iPhone 5 using DISBoards

Hi all. This will be our second trip through the canal with Disney - we were on the Magic back in 2005 for the first crossing. Can't wait to do it again!

As far as non Disney excursions go - we have done a number of non Disney excursions over the years, but we always plan the excursions with plenty of extra time at the end (like hours when possible). We've been lucky so far. The only time we were late was on a Disney excursion on Barbados several years ago. They pulled the gangway up after our bus load boarded.

Hi All:cool1:
What ever and I do mean what ever you folks decide to do is fine by me. i am sure you will always find someone who will not be able to attend no matter how many times it is changed,:worship: Is anyone using super shuttle at San Diego (port to airport)? Have a great day.:firefight

aan1701, we are "early to bed and early to rise" sort of people, and on the RCCL cruise we just finished, I do not think we were out after 10PM on any of the nights, it's what works for us. I don't mean to exclude anyone! I know that the Officers Pin trading that they had on the EBTA was held before the show on certain nights.

So as far as Pin Interest how about at Diversions at 10-11ish AM on day 6 . In Cartagena, time scheduled to leave is 2:45, so is 3:30 suitable?
If we wear trading pin lanyards at the "Meet" people may find that's convenient as well.

:goodvibes

As of the last conversation, Diversions AM day 6, then Cartagena day around 3-3:30PM.
There will be pin trading with CM's announced, and historically they have been in the evenings.

I am pretty sure DSis will be going to airport from ship...I do not know what super shuttle is.

I just looked up Super Shuttle..cloud 9..is this what you are referring to?

http://www.cloud9shuttle.com

We need to get to the airport because there is no place, that we can find, to rent a car one way directly at the port. So, we are interested in getting from the ship to airport with others.

The cruise terminal is on the same street as the airport, Harbor Dr. It's about a ten minute drive with traffic and only 2.5 miles so a cab ride would be about $10 or less. Make sure if you do end up getting a shuttle service of some kind that it's worth it.

Hi Bobbiwoz :cool1: Just made my ressie with super shuttle-cloud 9 to take us from the ship tot he airport. The cost for 2 is 14.00 if booked on line or 16.00 if done by phone. 49.00/person for non-stop service. I felt there would be plenty of time for us to catch our 3:45 flight back to Dallas. When you open their wb site you will click on

Looking for any college age cruisers on this trip. I'm 20, and going with a friend that's also 20. Last cruise we were 17 and in the Vibe, and on this cruise there is no club for our age.

In 2012, the Fantasy had a group for the 18 - 21 year olds. They met at different times of the day, usually in the evening. Our son really enjoyed meeting the other (kids) young people. Disney got a lot of flack for not taking care of your age group. Check it out and see if the Wonder is doing the same thing.

Cheers. Jennifer :moped:

Are there any spades players out there???

Who's up for a Roamin' Mickey? I'd be happy to coordinate it... just let me know you are interested and I'll put you on the routing!

What is a Roamin' Mickey?

I have a big magnet. We sign it and pass it room to room... Signing and moving it around after you sign it. It's fun to see where it goes. Doesn't cost anything, requires one drop off and watching for it in the hallway!

No, but we play pinocle.
