When there is a character meet and greet... how far in advance should we arrive/does the line start forming?

I have heard that the line for the princess meet can get pretty long sometimes but hopefully our cruise won't be packed.

Hi! My husband and I will be taking our 3 y/o granddaughter on this cruise. We have never been on any cruise let alone a disney cruise. I would appreciate any tips on what to pack or anything we should not miss on the cruise. I appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks in advance!

Can you please explain how the Fish extender works? I know that it is a pocket hanging from the fish outside the cabin door but, I 'm not sure how the delivery works. Thanks!

My girls do not know about the cruise yet as it's for their birthdays. But, in stealth mode I'm trying to round up appropriately sized costumes for the dinners. For our cruise- I should pack 3 plus a pirate outfit?

Do children wear costumes boarding as well?

They certainly can, anything goes really. Families often dress the same or with themed t-shirts etc too.

One thing I like about the DCL cruises are that there are so many chances to meet the characters and usually the lines are much less than in the parks. Sometimes they can be a bit on the longer side but watching the others having their photos taken is a lot of fun.We don't have children or grands with us but we love to go and watch the character photos.
There should also be a Princess tea that you can take her to where the princesses are. I am sure someone who has been can give you more info than me though.

And I just bought my FE on Etsy for myself and my parents. Im so excited to have it customized and cant wait to get it!

I don't think we will have assigned days to deliver gifts since some people will want to wait and fit delivery into their busy cruise schedule. If the majority would like a schedule we could divide it up by first two days and last two day's or other suggestions welcomed.
