What do you all think, will Monday, May 1st be really busy at MK?

I thought not, but all the character meals are booked, so I'm a bit worried.

Oh, oh-and I was planning to go to MK on that day! Change of plan now-thanks for the heads up. Think I'll try AK instead.

Sounds like a MAYDAY situation if you ask me. :goodvibes

That was a tad smarmy wasn't it? ;)

To the OP, I'd seriously like to know too. :hippie:

The answer to the question, "Will MK be busy on May 1st?" is,
"Yes, it will."

There are several factors. Mondays are always a busy day at MK - people arrive on Sunday and start their vacation at MK. Also, after Friday and Saturday night grad parties (when MK closes at 7), they have both parades (Share a Dream and Spectro) scheduled as well as Wishes.

We'll be there at that time and are specifically planning on AK that day instead.

Are we talking Spring Break/easter crowded or just regular just-because-it's-monday crowded? I was under the assumption that it would be less crowded then say this week because it was after spring break.

now i am all confused i thought i read many times that May was a great month for low crowds?

I understand why you got confused . I got a little confused too , that's why I asked my question about WHY it's crowded.

It's still going to be nice(r) than say late this month crowdwise. It is just basically because it's a Monday. It has nothing to do with it being May. That should have been made clear to begin with. :smokin:

I don't know exactly what you mean. I WAS planning on doing MK that day and I DID appreciate the information. That's why I genuinely thanked the OP for the information. Did I do something wrong by being sincerely grateful for the information?

I used the UG's calendar to plan our ADRs for dinner, but since we made them, their recommendations have changed somewhat. Initially, the UG said that May 1 would be a good day for the MK, but they've now backed off that. Incidentally, May 1 is AK AM EMH.

Great link showing which park to go on which days. Scroll down to the chart showing the dates. I found it pretty acurate when I used it in December 05.

Thanks for the link. In all my research that is the first time I have seen it. I will definitely take it in account for the planning of my trip in May. Is there anyone else who has used this resource and can support it from your experience?

We are going to be down there the same time. This is 2 weeks after Easter so it won't be as crowded. Last year we were there 2 weeks after Easter and it was awesome. :Pinkbounc It was not too crowded. We got up early, used fastpases, took a midday break and went back in the evenings. I have to say it was the best vacation we ever had. I think we will all be fine! :wizard:
