May 19th 2011, Three Day Dream Cruise

With the cruise 17 days away and since my crazy busy schedule has slowed down, I'm doing a practice run with packing for the cruise. .... I'm already out of room. ha!

Hehehe. I have started packing "for real" too, but only half way there. I better get going too because we will be in Orlando for a week before the cruise, so we have even less days.

Well we DO have a point!! I guess I should have explained. I kind of kill two birds with one stone. We always vacation toward the end of the school year. From the moment that I book our vacation I start buying new clothes and packing them for vacation. So not only do we all have new clothes for our vacation but my children have new clothes bought already for the next school year!! Sooooooooo we pack WAY early AND there IS a point to it!!!

We started to get our stuff together tonight and it occured to me that we'll need to find ways to entertain our almost 3 year old during dinner. For you veterans, any suggestions? This will be our first flight and cruise with our kiddo. I'm thinking its like a 90 min process for dinner right?

They do give them coloring stuff or do on Wonder/ Magic. My 6 yr old loves to draw and we are doing a journal of each day so she will probably work on this to keep her busy too! the staff are great as well. They help with the entertainment. Plus there is the turtle in Animators palate!!
I will also have an itouch close by just incase too... :S

You poor thing!! Walmart has some good deals on luggage!! I wouldn't spend a ton on them, they get treated like trash!!

We havent cruised yet so I cant help there but we took our 2 yearold on his first flight in Dec and he enjoyed it. We had a portable DVD player (aka my laptop ) that we played mickey dvds on. It worked out great.

Hey everyone

Feeling really excited today, we fly to Orlando in 9 days

I think I am going to start packing this weekend. The idea being that I will fill my suitcase fairly quickly and then give DH the rest to cram into his suitcase

Kelly - We HAVE to keep everything new in the suitcases AND lock them or my kids will want to get into them and wear the new clothes to school THIS year. That would totally defeat the purpose that I have for vacationing toward the end of the year!!


I am READY and nervous about these cruises!!! Once I am on board that will tell me that at least all of my paperwork was in order!! Now just hoping I don't forget anything!! I have stickys ALL over the house!!!

I am also jumping in here late. My family, including two very excited girls Chloe (5) and Savannah (3), and I will be travelling on our first ever cruise with friend's of ours. I have been madly searching for info to prepare us for our cruise and LOVE this board! Have already found so much info.

My husband is celebrating his birthday on our sail date and we are soooo excited!

I've done that... where I've had to put things away so as not to wear them. So I do understand now why you've packed so early.

And I'm worried too. I've cruised before but w/ someone who has cruised before and she did everything. I just tagged along more or less. Now I'm the one "in charge". I'm starting to stress out!

I am so sorry but I am flying out to the U.S in just a few days so I don't think I am going to chance for more shopping.
