May 18 is my date ..... got a few questions

Our family is arriving May 18. There will be DD (7), DH, GM and GD (grand mom and dad). We are staying at Shades of Green, as GD is retired military. My questions:

1) Staying at SOG, are we eligible for the Extra hours? I've read before we are, but the board here doesn't specify.

2) Fast Pass ...... it seems like a good deal and anyone with a ticket can do it, why don't more do it? Am I missing something?

3) May 18 - 25 is our trip date, will it be too early for a water park? I was thinking it might be a good break from the walking and riding of rides.

4) Motion sickness ..... I get terribly "car sick", will over the counter medicine help with the rides. This is DD's first trip and I know she'll want to ride everything!

1. I think so but don't know for sure.

2. You're not missing anything. Those in the know about fast pass like to keep the clueless ignorant. More fast passes for those of us in the know.

3. Water Parks should be fine. Daytime temperatures should be 80 t0 85 with a slimchance of seeing 90.

4. Motion sickness medication seems to work for some and not for others [did not help my DW at all on the simulation rides like Star Tours]. You will have to try it for yourself and check out a ride. Warning: if after the first ride you feel any symptoms DO NOT try another ride, it will only get worse.

DW & I are also arriving 5/18 but we'll be staying at POFQ. Wear your lime green and we'll look for you. I'll most likely be wearing a black vest with Disney pins, a classic red Mickey GOH badge, and a DIS button on it.

DW and I will also be wearing Anniversary badges [31years on 5/18]

Yes SOG allows for the extra Morning and evening hours. You must show your Rersort ID in the Morning to get in the Park early. And get a wrist band at the Park your at, to ride the after hours rides. Fast pass is the way to go if its busy, a good thing to know is if your fast pass is for example 1:00 to 2:00 you can get another at 1:05. May you have a wonderful trip. I'll be at SOG May 15-20. Is this something you did yourself? Or does Disney have such an animal. I want one. We're only 9 years on 05/18 but I'm dying to have something that says so.

We will also be at SOG 05/17/2005 - 05/25/05. We have heard the waterparks will be perfert for the time frame we are there and that we are eligible for EMH as well !! See you there ! I can't wait

Wow - we will be there from 5/17 - 25 too! Can't wait! We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary - early, as we didn't want to chance October and hurricane season...

1) Your SOG questions have been answered - we stayed there when it was The Disney Inn and loved it (1986).

2) Fast Pass is a wonderful thing - I understand that there was a test run of something new in Epcot last month where you could get an unlimited number of Fast Pass tickets - waiting to read the boards to find out more.

3) Good luck with the motion sickness... I understand that there are a number of good products available.
