Hi everyone! We have signed up for the EBTA and are hoping to do the WBTA as well.

I too am thinking of buying 2 sets of round-trip tickets - one from U.S. to U.K. and another from Barcelona to U.K. It would save a TON of $!

This is who is joining me:
Liz (me)
Bobby (DH)
Autumn (DD - will be 7)

I will try to read up on the thread to 'meet' you all!

I am definitely looking at doing this. I think it is the Queen Mary that I am looking at, I may have gotten confused. I want to do a Princess cruise to the greek islands after the TA, and then fly to london and cruise back home. I know, I am crazy. LOL.

I wish I had the time (& $) - after the TA we're taking our grandson on a 3 week tour of Italy and stop in Greece to visit family. ah well - maybe someday!

You two are my new heroes! :lmao: LOL! Sounds like a wonderful trip.

after much diliberation we are in could I just ask that justand and hailey girl are put in different groups we are travelling together, here is the make up of our groups

JUSTAND - Justin and andrina perry from Chipping Norton Oxfordshire
Carol-Anne and Shannon - both will be 19 well Carol=Anne will be 19 on the
first of June (these two are previsional I find when they pay for themselves it
discourages them some what)

HAILEY GIRL - Dex and Tracey Hope and Charlotte she will be 9 when we travel

We are very excited

Hey Kristen - had to wait many years to be able to take long vacations - although since I home school my special needs grandson - I'm not yet an official "empty nester" !!! In fact, he accompanies me on a number of my trips as I can home school anywhere - even on a cruise!!

We are in! Deposit is paid. My dh has always wanted to do a TA cruise and I just love to travel. So excited to get back to Europe since having kids!!!

Here's who's traveling in our family...
Allissa (myself)
John (dh)
Tyler (ds will be 10)
Brandon (ds will be 7)
Rylee (dd will be 5):cheer2:

We just got off our 2nd cruise last week, the 7 night western on the Magic. I booked the transatlantic onboard and really hope we can actually go on the cruise. Airfare is going to be a big determining factor. I really want to do a longer cruise, especially on Disney, but I might have to wait. My DS4, who will be 5 on the cruise, seems to thrive on our two previous Disney cruises.

I homeschool my kids too! What a blessed grandson you have. Enjoy your time with him.

Welcome Goofy39.3! I really hope we can go too! Hoping to put the deposit down in June. How many times have you done the Goofy?

:welcome:!!!! Looking forward to meeting everyone in a little more than a year from now! I'm in the process of finiahing a very "BRIEF" TR from our cruise last may on the Magic.......I mean brief (mostly pictures)

With 14 days on the ship I am looking forward to our DS Matt making friends and "wanting" to spend some time in the clubs, pools etc.....with other kids around his age.

Hope to hear you join the group. Long cruises are hard to do once the kids are older, in school and have commitments to other activities, so 5 is the perfect age.

Lot's of new folks joining us! Welcome Everyone!! :goodvibes

Val, your logo is awesome!! :thumbsup2

Lynne, I hope you join our cruise.

I am sure if there are any Texans on the boards they can tell you all about Dallas. I have been there.

Instead of visiting Dallas before the cruise, about the same distance away (actually about a 100 miles closer but longer to drive from) is New Orleans. You would love New Orleans, it is so much fun. It would be a 5hours drive to Galveston. Houston, Texas is about an hour from Galveston, that is where you would fly into. We most likely will go to the Houston Space Center - since we will be there.

I was so hoping DCL would put a ship in New Orleans. If they aren't going to leave one here in California I would love to have one in NO. We can tell you some of the most fun places in NO, It has everything.

Val
Thanks Val, I never thought og that !!

Hi goofy, at least you dont have to pay from scotland !
We done the goofy in jan,:woohoo: I done it with a broken arm, haha, spot the dafty.

I love the logo! I am getting very anxious about the airfare situation and am hoping for a WBTA date so I can get round trip plane tickets. I am starting to save up for airfare now... what do you think is a good estimate of airfare for four people?

I only ran Goofy one time in 2010. I'm planning on running it again next year for the 20th marathon. But if I have to pick only one trip it will be the transatlantic. You can run anytime, I don't, but you can.

Welcome to all the newcomers :-)

Just had to do a quick catch up, haven't been on here for 2 weeks as I have had a nasty chest infection. Still got it now but feeling much better then I did!

Couldn't agree more about the RT airfare. We are thinking of doing the same, however we have to get a flight home from Barcelona as well so not sure if we should? Although, I think as long as we don't book with the same airline as we do to get to Texas we should be a-OK!

Loving the logo Valbob :-D

Hi, we just reserved this cruise which will be our 3rd TA. We were on the inaugural (the rolling ship cruise), and in 2009. We love long cruises with many days at sea. We are also going to Hawaii this year for the inaugural in April.

Cheers,
