Private Mixology and Private Chocolate Tasting​

I have now sent EMAIL to everyone who has currently signed up for either and/or both of these events - just a quick reminder to everyone......


1) Private Mixology - CHECK THE LIST LINK I SENT YOU IN THE EMAIL, PLEASE! If your DATE is still incorrect, please send me an e-mail to disneymousehouse@disboards.net OR PM me here or on FB - (Beverly Gaston Gustafsson) - I know I messed up on a few, but I THINK I have it all fixed now This is IMPORTANT as I will begin SOON to provide this list to DCL, even though the class will NOT close for signups unless we reach a total of 80 people (we are ONLY 7 away from this!)

2) Private Chocolate Tasting - I SENT OUT AN EMAIL A FEW MINUTES AGO! This has a link to the doc you can see on Google. Please let me know if you would prefer a different date and I will TRY to accomodate you - with just meeting the minimum for two classes, it will be a bit harder to switch you around, but I will do my best!

If you DID NOT receive an email from me for either class and you think you should have, please get in touch with me ASAP - thanks!

Updates -
1) Private Mixology class is NOW FULL - I will be sending out ONE more e-mail to ALL participants today with a link to the class lists/date assignments - it is CRITICAL that you check your date and jot it down so that you know what class you are in....due to both classes being at capacity, I won't be able to accommodate any more date changes to this list. Sorry for that, but I think I have heard from everyone who has needed to change their dates.

2) If you have NOT received an e-mail from me by the end of the day, that means (more than likely) you are NOT signed up for either class. PLEASE be sure to check your "spam" folder in case that is where this message got filtered.....

3) Chocolate Tasting Class - there is STILL ROOM in these classes. Sign up here:

We have also set up three things for our Barcelona stay! We did book with Barcelona Day Tours! We are working with Sharon.

Question to the group - If I am a DVC member but did NOT use points for the cruise, will I still get all the extras that the cruise line puts in your room? Guess I should probably make sure my member number os somewhere on the reservation?

I believe if you booked once before on points, your name is in the system and you automatically get DVC member goodies. Once you get to your room and if there isn't a DVC member magent on the door, stop by the DVC counter and let them know your DVC member and your state room and they will make sure you get your goodies, you might have to ask them for the magnet itself. Last year we cruised on Fantasy in concierges (fake wood covered doors), we got our member package but didn't get a magnet (due to the doors not holding magnets at all due to the fake wood cover layer) but the gracious people at the DVC counter managed to dig up magnet for us so we ended up with a DVC 2012 cruise magnet.

Just check at the DVC desk to make sure they have your room number down. If they put a DVC logo magnet on your door then DVC has you set and you will get your goodies and be invited to the DVC party.

There was two on Hawaii too. On longer cruises the DVC party is usually day 1 ( some times 2 parties dividing the group into 2 ) and then some time during the 2nd week there is another DVC get together, plus they have contests during the cruise for pins and DVC stuff.

Speaking of parties, On the 2 longer cruises I have taken, the Castaway Cay party was on deck 9 as there were so many repeat cruisers.

Also on all the recent cruises we done they have their first DVC members party at 2:30 on embarkation day, so once you get hold of the first navigator you might want to quickly double check the time (please don't since I want to win the OBC ). I know that our meet and great is at 3pm so will collide if DVC does their member meet at 2:30 and normally you have to be present for the drawings to win their prices. But I'm sure there will be at least 1 other DVC member party and 1 DVC event (to gain new members) on during the cruise (that is the norm on a 7 day cruise and would think they double that for this cruise).

ditto, we just received our room assignment & as inside guaranteed so just received notice 2 weeks before we cruise, not much we can do about it so we are sticking with our assignment ttxx

Answered this on FB but will answer here to.

You can't book on board with points.

But you do have a grace period (think it's now 7 days) post cruise where you can book another cruise on points and get the cruise at discounted "rates".

It used to be only 3 days but to many I guess had trouble making it because of post cruise travels so they now accept 7 days (IIRC). The DVC cast members and future cruise cast members should be able to let you know exactly what and how you need to do this to get your discounted rates (points).

On another note - my DH has a few Disney ties that I can bring if anyone would like to borrow - one is Mickey Mouse nd the other is Simba. Seeing as he passed on this cruise he wont be needing them! Let me know.

DCL has a thank you party with lots of characters for the Gold and Platinum cruisers. In my experience, most people on the longer cruises are gold or platinum.

Just got an e-mail from DCL regarding this upcoming cruise!In it is referenced that we are DVC members & we should look forward to special member events on board!
