May 18, 2013 Magic EBTA Part Two - From Tejas to España

Holy moly! That's awful. I hope you get it fixed without much trouble.

I checked us in last night but didn't do any Palo, can't decide when :headache: And it wouldn't let me chose an arrival time as we have Disney Air and are in a hotel the night before. I hope that dosn't mean they'll make us wait until late.

That's really wonderful about all of you WBTA folks getting back on together

Kirbo with Disney air and hotel you do not need an arrival time because you are using Disney transport from the hotel. I don't have an arrival time either, I'm just going to let the hotel know when I check in that I have Disney transportation and hopefully find out what departure times are available.

POSTCARDS
Closer to the cruise (last pif date) I will post of list of who is participating and their cabins

Do we need to give you the people count and cabin if known for the stateroom tour now? We'd like to add ours...:thumbsup2

I have updated my original placeholder on page 1, part 2 with a request for people to PM me with their interest in a) having their cabin put on the tour and b) sign up to take part in the tour. It's in the same place as postcards

I really have no idea what I am doing :rotfl2: but I can at least organize the information for now. Thanks for your patience.
:goodvibes

I have to brag just a little....been trying to loose a little weight (don't blame me if you found it - I really don't need it back!)

I hit my second goal this morning - 20 pounds off!!! I am hoping for another 20 before we sail.

:cool1::cool1:

Fantastic!

There's a silly book series about a bumbling bail bondswoman and her co-hort Lula. Anyway, the bondswoman is always broke and Lula, I think it's her, tells her about Costco samples. You buy a year membership and then you can go there everyday for lunching on the samples :rotfl:

I can't help it...I love a good Stephanie Plum book!!! :dance3:

I just finished the new series with LIzzie and Diesel - I'm looking forward to the next Stephanie Plum - and also the next Sookie Stackhouse book !

Love the Plum series. Have read them all. Grandma is a hoot! Ranger

If I want to make Palo brunch reservations for 6 people, from 3 seperate cabins, do I have to call DCL or is there a way to do that online?

I think they have to be linked.

Her Stephanie Plum series is hilarious - I really have burst out laughing while reading !

Me too. DD doesn't understand how you can find a book that funny!

OMG Were you on our Alaskan? June 4? I had the SAME problem and I think we were the 2nd cruise to Alaska. I will update on Monday. Thanks!

We were on the May 17, there is something about that day and me sailing. We had the best weather with no rain. The people that lived there said that they liked Disney because the first sailing and our sailing the ship would come in and the rain would leave. I must say that it was the perfect trip to Alaska, the only thing that I had wanted was hot soup on deck for the Tracy Arm. I brought it up to the cruise director and he really liked the idea,I still wonder if it has been added.

My TA said that they have had this with Disney Transportation and the information will be on our documents when we get them in the mail. Check out time for the Hotel is at 10:00 so we should all be at the ship by noon.

Omg. 2 hours on hold. My cordless phone is almost dead. :crazy2:

How long was your estimated wait time? One time I called WDW, I got stuck on the hold music for over an hour and fifteen minutes. So I hung up, redialled and got straight through. :goodvibes:

We're taking Disney transfers from Houston Airport. I didn't know what time we would be getting on the bus, we're flying in the night before. I put 12:30 as the arrival to port time. I hope that's right!

Awesome! I know we will be ready to get this voyage started.

There were several people that have Disney air and ground that had talked about doing breakfast in the morning before the cruise. There is someone on facebook that used the same service out of Houston a few weeks ago. She stated that we are on a large bus like in Florida but not a Disney bus. They show the same video as well. Everyone was on the bus by 9:15 for an hour and 20 min trip, looks like we have a 10:45 arrival time. She said that it was stressed that the Mouse does not like to leave late. We would have to meet no latter than 8 to make sure everyone was ready by 9. Let me know if anyone is interested I can call the hotel and get some tables together.

I'm very surprised DCL did not offer hot soup while sailing Tracy Arm.

On our HAL cruises to Alaska, hot soup was routinely offered. And even if one does not drink the soup, it's a great way of keeping one's hands warm while watching the scenery.

Hello everyone!

My name is Ryan (23), and I, along with my sister (20) and mother (forever 29), will be sailing this cruise as of today. My dad will then be joining us in Barcelona to go on the first Med cruise. 3 weeks on the Magic sounds perfect to me, and I just wanted to check in and say hello to all my fellow cruisers. I hope your cruise planning is going well!

Best wishes ~ Ryan

Welcome Ryan and family, but your mother might not appreciate you putting her age lol! 3 weeks on the Magic sounds perfect to me too, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I don't remember if they did. We watched from our room. That video of the glacier calving was from our balcony! You're right though, it would've been nice to have!
