May 18, 2013 Magic EBTA Part Two - From Tejas to España

Just a final reminder to all of you - we will be doing the Pub Crawl at 1 PM - I will be trying to figure out where we will be going (from Bar to Bar) upon meeting at the Promenade Lounge at 1 PM (this is an hour earlier than originally planned at first). I'll be getting with DCL once we are on board and seeing if I can get more accurate information as to which bars are open when.

Also, please remember if you'd like to contribute to the "Favorite Drink Recipe" booklet - see my post here about all of the info!

This is for the Rent a Princess. From what I understand you can request 2 tickets per child. Not sure about the ages but if you have a child that does not want to go and can get tickets, please let me know. If you have extra tickets due to either having kids that aren't going or parents that aren't going please let me know. They are some adults that would like to attend. I will match up the unused tickets with those who need them. We are not sure what day it is on or what time. Evidently they assign that when on board based on how many kids are on board. If I have left anything out please let me know! Thanks!

I need to add that an adult must accompany a child. Mandy said she was pretty sure the person who gets the tickets will have to enter with the "princess" she is accompanying, and many devise a meeting time and place prior to the event. They also exchange cabin numbers to call one another once the ticket date/time has been announced as we had two teas last time. Usually at Lumiere's. HTH.

Any lists I am missing for this? Who is exchanging ticket for princesses onboard?

Does the Disney Magic dock at cruise terminal 1 or 2? Thanks.

It's the one further to the left when facing the water. And I think we will be the only ship in port on Saturday. Both terminals use the same entrance and have good Disney signs. :thumbsup2

Flip a coin and call it 1 or 2? ;) Just kidding.

I just uploaded the first draft of our DIS Navigator over on the facebook page. Will make any edits Tuesday evening and have final version ready on Wednesday so you can print or just save to your smartphone, ipad, etc. My eyes are going cross-ways now, so I could use the proofing. Thank you!! :thumbsup2

Thanks. It sounds easier to find than train platform 9-3/4.

Ugh - train platforms are not even on my radar yet but I am going to figure those out later for Barcelona and Venice. sigh. Kinda worried.
I figure with so many sea days, there's plenty of time for reading Rick Steves' books.

He is my new BFF. We have his Med book but I downloaded several "samples" onto my ipad last night for the crossing. I felt kinda bad not downloading any novels - all travel stuff instead LOL.

Morning Everyone,

Well after a short wait I am ready to start the trek to Galveston, bus today then planes tomorrow and more buses thursday, Well I sure it will be worth it in the end.

Could someone please print me a copy of the Navigator, I dont have access to FB? Anyway hope to see you all on Friday and Saturday. Safe journeys and thanks for all the hints and tips over the past few months.

Spare a thought for DD (Doing her Highers) and (Disney Cruise Line Fanatic) DW, who is holding the fort in my absence. She's not happy.:rolleyes1

we're also leaving today, well this evening for a drive to Heathrow for an overnight stay and our flight is Wed 10:25am - OMG that's TOMORROW!!!
Safe journey Stevie.

Ooh, this is getting exciting now isn't it? More and more people are starting their trips to Galveston.

I'm at the airport myself in London at the moment. 1.5hrs until my flight home. And then 52 hours later start our journey to Galveston.

Shame I didn't get everything work-wise done before the trip. Now I have to take a sat-phone. It can be hard working for a satellite communication company sometimes. No such thing as getting away completely.

But, it doesn't matter. I shall soon be amoung all you fine folks and tipping back a few cold ones. :thumbsup2

It will be on our EBTA website by tonight. I am going to incorporate edits people have been sharing and then email the final version to Chris (Goofynewfie) this evening to upload to website so all have access. It is still in the draft phase now. I just uploaded to facebook the draft that has all edits mentioned last night.

PM me your email address and I can email you the latest draft if that helps :)

And I am the total opposite of you... have not laid out a single thing for hubby and I to pack. Got the kids packed thank goodness, but the Navigator and all the edits have been occupying my time (plus that little thing called Work LOL!) :rotfl:

Hi Everyone

I can't seem to find the Graphic I am looking for in the search. Does anyone have a copy they could send me today. It is the one with the flags and crossing the Atlantic line

Thanks
Lawrence
