May 18, 2013 Fantasy 7 Night Eastern!

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to disboards and my family and I will be sailing with you all in May 2013! Woo hoo! My husband and I went on our first Disney cruise together for my birthday in May 2012. We had such a great time that we decided to bring the kids with us the next time.

We will be celebrating my oldest son's college graduation. We're so proud of him! Our children are 21, 16 (soon to be 17) and 3 (he'll be 4 by the time we cruise).

I would really like to participate in the fish extender activities but it appears that the group is already full Please let me know if there are any plans to add a second group. This looks like such a great way to enhance our trip. I know our little guy would go nuts to check the "mail" every time we return to the room.

Our family loves to visit Disney World but this will be our very first family cruise and we wanted it to be with Disney. We'll be celebrating Christmas this year at Fort Wildness campground. Very exciting to have 2 Disney trips within a few months of each other. Looking forward to all the tips and group communication for the cruise.

Welcome to the sailing! Time has been flying by so fast, we will be on the fantasy before we know it! If you like Facebook you can do a search for our fb page. It's called..... fantasy ship 5/18/2013 I just added 4 new members in the last few days and 9 overall in the last month. We enjoy chatting about the cruise and anything cruise related. We also keep each other informed about airfare, and ask our veterans questions. So come on over.

There are others who are asking about a second FE so maybe some of the new members can get together and start a second FE group?

We have a lot in common! I too have a celebration of a high school graduate. He will be 18 in Jan and I have a soon to be 20 yr old daughter on the cruise. We also have a 6 yr old son! Cheers to starting over, LOL

There is another family who has 20 yr old twin daughters. It's nice to see this age group growing in numbers. Hope to see you over on the fb page.

For the last 4 years my oldest son has been away at college. His school is a 10 hour drive from our home so he doesn't come home very often. The last 2 summers he has worked internships in other states too, so we don't even get to see him during the months he's off from school. It's been hard to have him away so much but we are so proud of all that he is accomplishing.

I really do hope that we have enough interest to have another fish extender group. I would volunteer to coordinate except that I've never done it before. This is only my 2nd cruise ever and I've never even seen the fish extender before last night so I really am not familiar enough with how it works to take that on. I want to participate, just can't be the point person for it.

Welcome! It was always planed for a second group, but so far, nobody has stepped forward to lead it. Once you get 10 posts, PM me your email address, and ill send the excel template I made. Pretty easy to use!
Also, you share a B-day with my kiddo! Pretty cool having your birthday on CC day! We will be there exactly 2 years from the last time, and I love it!

Don't worry Suzanne we have the "heads up" on the fb page too! We added 4 new members just yesterday alone, so Im sure there will be enough people to do another one!

I realized last night that I never posted the cruise pics from May 2012 to facebook. Last night I loaded them all and posted a link on the cruise facebook group. Not sure if everyone will be able to view the entire album because of security settings. At least you can see the one of my husband and I eating at Palo.

If you haven't eaten at Palo or Remy, I highly recommend both restaurants. Fantastic food and service. Remy is some of the finest dinning around. Palo was also great food and a breathtaking ocean view while you eat.

We haven't booked it yet.
We will be flying Southwest and/or JetBlue out of Rochester though.

Southwest out of buffalo is only $100 one way, has a nonstop flying out at 6 am! I love that, don't like to waist the whole day traveling.

Yeah, no paying for parking for us. We will get a ride to the local airport. Kids will be in school until noon that Friday. There is a direct flight around 3ish that we are aiming for at this point in time. The flight home we have a little more flexibility time wise but will be flying home the day the cruise comes back, most likely on Southwest but keeping JetBlue as an option.

That sounds like a plan!
