May 18, 2003 Wonder

Kaslee,
Rest assured - the weather has been glorious in Florida. This is my first winter/spring here (I relocated from Colorado) and I couldn't be more delighted. Warm temps - mid 80s, sunny skies.
Having the cruise and promise of vacation is what keeps alot of us sane.
Take good care of yourself and we will see you soon!

Univfire: Congrats on the pregnancy! I had a miscarriage in March but would have been 17 weeks on the ship if I hadn't! You have to love that stage of pregnancy when you are too big for your regular clothes!

luvstiggertoo: I could be in the same boat as you too....pardon the pun. ;) ;) ;) :p

tlens...wishing you the best in your "attempt"
Sorry to hear of the miscarriage. I've been there too and I know it is hard.
Hopefully we'll both have good news to share!!!

I'm noticing a lot of younger kids on this thread.
Anyone have any kids in the 8-12 range?
We'll have DD12 & DS9.....hoping they'll find some new friends!

Luvstiggertoo
I have a DD who is 11. I think she has been concerned that there won't be other girls her age in the club. She will love the company

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

Tlens, I'm sorry to hear of your MC.

Does anyone know if there are ANY excursions I can do with DD 22 months? All the paperwork says kids must be 3? Does that mean I can't even take her on any of the beach excursions? Hmmm.

I'm so excited! I can't wait!!!

4u2dream - I checked out your pics and you all look as if you had a great time and that was just in 3 days. Blue Lagoon looked wonderful if we do the Wonder again I'd love to do that excursion. We're just gonna hit the shops have a peek at Atlantis do a spot of gambling and then get back to the ship.

Kay - Everything is going to be OK and from the sounds of it "disneygal58" has guaranteed the weather for you ;) I'm sorry that you've had a time of it of late but am glad that you have this cruise to look forward to.

Luvstiggertoo - you just reminded me that I need some new swimwear and Paul is working from home on Wednesday so I'll need to go shopping to stay out of his way ;)

tlens - so sorry to hear about the MC but glad to hear that you're trying for another.

Univfire - I forgot to congratulate you earlier. I hope you get to find an excursion - have you looked at the companies direct if you can't book through DCL. I have the Passporter book and it has the websites of all the direct companies that organise the same excursions that DCL do. Let me know if you need additional help here.

Hi to Meb51 and family and to the Mcfamily - I hope you all have a great time cruising.

Get that Lime Green Ribbon ready :bounce:

Univfire:

I would call Disney Cruise line and ask their shore excursion people about that. I can't see any real reason why a child of 22 months couldn't go on a beach excursion. 1-877-566-0968.
(ps: I'm ok with the M/C. Things weren't right form the beginning so it wasn't a surprise...now on to happier things!)

Im not sure about all the Beach excursions, but the Blue Lagoon and Lucayan Beach excursions allow infants to 3 yrs. of age because I asked when we booked. And the best part of it is they are free. Under 3 is free, kind of like WDW. Anyways I hope that helps. I also have read on these posts that under 3 are not allowed on some excursions because of the nature of the outting. ie. Scuba

Which only makes since.

We booked the Lucayan Beach Experience, in Freeport this year with our 7mth old we thought there would be more for her to do with us, Blue Lagoon was beautiful, but I don't think I would suggest bringing a young child, under 3, only because there isn't a lot for them to do.

I called Dreams Unlimited yesterday and Donna said that our documents were sent out today. Can't wait to get them in our hands.

Woo-hoo not long now until we're on our way out to Florida and WDW - I'm really excited, I've been trying on clothes this afternoon just to make sure they all still fit me. Sadly ;) they do but I'm sure I can still think of more excuses to buy some more clothes ;)

How's everyone else holding up under the excitement ??

We are going insane!!! Every since Sunday we've been saying "this time 3 weeks from now we'll be at the sail away party", "this time 3 weeks from now, we'll be...." You get the idea!!

I bought myself a big wide brimmed straw hat and have been wearing it around the house. My kids think I'm wierd!

We can almost start checking the 15 day forecast!!!!

I can't believe from being at well over 150 days when I first planned this trip we are now only at 18.

I purchased our 15 day countdown gifts today. It's amazing that it is right around the corner.
How many of us are staying the night prior at the Radisson?

Dawn Hope

Hi Dawn!
I'm trying to convince DH to stay at the Radisson the night before. He's been a little hesitant to spend any more money since we've (I've) been on a non-stop spending spree for the past few weeks!

If I can convince him, we'll be there!!!

We're at the Radisson the night before!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I keep walking by things at home thinking "I need to remember to bring that." I know when it comes to packing, I'll forget half of it.

meb51...

I've already got a corner in my bedroom set aside for cruise stuff. As I think of something we'll need, it goes there.
I think I'm ready to start packing!!

You can explain that for just a few dollars more than the port parking fee you can begin your vacation early. Hang out by the gorgeous pool and not stress about getting up early the next morning to drive from Tampa. I hope you can convince him - we'll hold you a chair poolside (pretend that we haven't conspired via the internet). There is a good, inexpensive pizza/Italian restaurant next door and we don't have to mention that Ron Jon's (and more shopping opportunities) is right down the road.

Good Luck,
Dawn

Dawn,
That's the argument I'm going for! I would just love to sit by the pool Saturday evening and just "happen to meet" some other cruisers!!;)

Dawn,
Have you stayed at the Radisson before a cruise before?
When do they start shuttling people to the port?
How often do they go?

Thanks!!

Yes! I'm very interested to know about the shuttle schedule as well.
