May 17, 2009 4 Nights of Wonder!!

Ann Marie,

Forgot to ask which anniversary is this for you? And how many in your party? Any children? This is going to be fun. I don't know how it makes it work. I guess we'll have to trade suite numbers etc.

It will be our 13th Anniversary and it will be my husband, my 8 year old son and me. I have been looking for more details on the fish extenders online today. I think we can meet up at the beginning of our cruise (at the deck party, as suggested) and exchange stateroom #'s. I should go back and read your previous posts, but just in case, tell me again how many are in your party? Are you celebrating an anniversary as well?
This is going to be great :)
Ann Marie

Good morning. We are celebrating our anniversary as well - our 10th. There's 3 in our party, DH, a very busy 2.5 yr old DS and myself. Its a first cruise for my DS and myself. We can't wait.

I found some fish extenders on ebay under search of Disney Fish Extenders they range from $25 - $35 plus shipping. I'm hoping I can find some others at better pricing but have had no luck and I don't sew. Let me know what you find.

We are so very excited for this trip.

Hi Linda!
I have also seen the fish extenders on eBay and also when I googled, there were some for sale as well. They look about the same price ($20-$30).
Wow, your 10th anniversary! The cruise will be the perfect way to celebrate.
Your son sounds like he is at a great age to enjoy the cruise. He is going to love the Mickey pool and splash area.
I have the Disney Magical Countdown clock downloaded from the internet and we are 41 days from sailing away! Can't wait!
Well, keep me posted if you find any great deals on fish extenders :)
-Ann Marie

I think this sounds like a lot of fun!! I am not sure what I need to do This is our first cruise, will do some research but we would like to participate as well.

First Time Cruisers:
myself, DH, and 3-year-old son who is dying to ride a boat with capin' hook and the Mouse!

Can't wait!

So glad you want to participate!
After doing some research, I think we just need to know who is participating and how many people in the party (also include how many kids & ages) so we can plan on what little goodies to pick up and bring with us. I have seen that for planning purposes, most meeting boards that have done the fish extenders have set a cut-off date for anyone who wants to participate.
Do you think two weeks from now, April 20th, would give everyone elso enough chance to decide if they want to partcipate? This way, we have enough time to gather the right amount of goodies. I will keep watching this board and then at our agreed upon cut-off date, I will compile a list of participants with how many in each party, including how many and what ages of kiddos. Then, we can exchange stateroom #'s once we are aboard and gather at our meeting place (Sail away party on Deck 10- did I get that spot right, Sue). Sound good?
This should be fun and if anyone else wants to participate, just remember that you don't have to have little kids to enjoy this activity. Adults are welcome to join the fun as well!

Thanks for organizing thus far!!! This sounds fun and will give me a chance to explore the ship!!

We just booked for the May 17th cruise. I'm so amazed by these boards I have not been on a disney cruise since 1999. I feel like I have missed out on so much doing a lot of catching up. Still reading up on the fish extenders but I would be more than willing to participate. Looks like you either make or buy the extender and purchase items to put in them.. My husband and I are travling with our 6 year old who has no clue we will be on Disney. She thinks we are going on Carnival not giving her any disney info until we pull into the port. Looking forward to stepping on the ship in just 6 short weeks.

Hi Erikas4228!
Hi and welcome! I will count you in on the fish extenders and put you on the list :)
Let me know if you have any questions about it.
I will post a final list of participants on April 20.
Take care
Ann Marie

Welcome aboard, Erikas4228 and family!

I hope to meet you on board in a bit less than six weeks!

Beth

Thanks Ann Marie

I been doing my home work looking up info for my fish extender one of my co-workers is going to help me make ours.

And I now surfing the net for some good ideas for goodies.

Looking foward to this I think my daughter is just going to be so excited.

What info will you need from me to add to the list.

Hi Beth,

Can't wait to meet. While 6 weeks seems such a short time it's going to seem so long when trying to keep a secret from a 6 year old who ask so many questions. This morning she caught me peaking at something on line for the fish extender and I had to send her on her way.

Hi Erikas4228
Sounds great! I think I have enough info for now to add you to the list. I have you down for a party of 3 (your husband, you and your 6 year old daughter). We can figure out stateroom #'s once we are aboard since some of us may have category 12 staterooms that haven't been assigned yet. I went to a couple of stores in search of goodies yesterday and had a lot of fun shopping.
I am still figuring out if I will buy or make my fish extender :)
-Ann Marie

To the new people on the post, welcome!

So far, I haven't found any better deals on the fish extenders. I don't sew, so I'll keep searching the for one unless I can convince my MIL to sew one up for us. If you guys have any ideas or find some better deals, let me know.

Have a good night....Mickey Dreams

As for the fish extenders, I know some of us are celebrating our anniversaries and some birthdays while on the ship. I know I already have down how many years for the anniversaries, but I thought it would be a good idea to put the dates in case anyone has an actual anniversary date or birthday while we are cruising.
Our 13th Anniversary is 5/18 while on the cruise :)

Anyone else want to join us with the fish extenders? We have set the cut-off date for participants to Monday, April 20.

Really looking forward to seeing everyone soon! Can't wait to hear the Wonder blow its horn :yay:

Ann Marie

Hello,
I'm coming on the cruise on May 17th as well! We're very excited and we'd love to take part in fish extenders. Sounds like a lot of fun! There are 3 in our party, my husband, myself and 6 year old son. My son will be turning 7 on May 19th while we're on the ship. Also, my husband and I will be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversay on May 16th before we set sail. Looking forward to taking part in all the fun!!!!

Tanya :dance3:

Welcome GoofysMomXO!
I have put you on the list for the fish extenders :)

Beth, we are getting closer to the fun! My countdown clock says we have 37 days to set sail!!! Yippee!

-Ann Marie

My countdown says there's only 35 days and 3 hours until I leave my office! We leave for Florida the next morning. Grandma Bear and I are taking Amtrak from Newark, NJ to Kissimmee, and then will spend the night before the cruise at the Radisson at the port. I can't wait. I really need a vacation right about now!

Beth
