We just got confirmation today that Donna will join us on the cruise!
So the whole Anderson clan is now on the cruise. My parents are now upgrading their CAT 6 (that was adjoining with us) to a CAT 4 room (with slim hopes of getting a CAT 3 at the port).

Thank you for your thoughts Val. JorDan is in worse shape than thought. She'll be bedridden for 10 days. Please read our blog for updates.

We need the cruise now...

JorDan and Chad - I'm so sorry for your loss. JorDan - I'll be crossing my fingers that the meds work and your wounds heal quickly. Sending you pixie dust and hugs...

Good Friday Everyone!!!!!

Drum roll please...............

In a little over 5 Weeks some of us will be sitting back, relaxing and sipping on one of these.....
Jane -- do we really have to dress up that much for brunch? Was hoping to wear capris. (can you tell -- I love to wear capris :rotfl:). I wish I could get by on a single pair of sandals but I will most likely have several. I will wear them all the time but will need brown, black and something dressy for the "dress up" nights. Great idea on the sunglasses! I think I will pick them up some.
I don't know how dressy you need to get, I'm just trying to get as much wear out of my outfit (that plus it cuts down on the number of outfits I have to pack). Go with the capris and a nice top. I doubt that they would kick you out.
I'm off today as well and DH and I are going out in a little while to do some shopping also! We are inviting all our family and neighbors over for a seafood fry/BBQ on Saturday and I have to do most of the cooking. :scared1: Please send some pixie dust my way as I have no idea what I am doing! I don't really cook all that great so let's hope I don't poison my in-laws. :rotfl: This is the first time that we will be hosting a big family BBQ.....Wish us luck!!!
Good luck with the BBQ. Depending on your MIL and her personality, but I'd suggest you ask her to help out (ask for advice if you need it). She'll probably feel more comfortable and you'll get to spend some bonding time with her. It helped me get to know my MIL and Grandmother in law (way back in the day) plus it helped me get cooking skills that my own mother didn't teach me.

I just had a frustrating evening. After work I decided to go pick up the supplies to work on my FE gifts. Checked at two craft stores in the area and they don't have the supplies that I need. Guess I'll have to re-evaluate and re-think my idea. To top that off I scanned some stuff to be able to iron on the decoration for the FE hanger and I forgot to send the files home. Guess I'll have to take a trip into work tomorrow. I really want to finish something!!

Going to run and continue to work on the artwork for the FE hanger. If I'm successful and finish it, I'll post the pics.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Jane

Okay, so what in the world have I been missing out on?!?! What is that yummy-looking thing? Just a daquiri or something "more?"

Now how am I supposed to lose 50 pounds in 5 weeks? :lmao:
With Easter here and absolutely NO willpower over Reese's PB eggs, I know I'm going to end up where I don't want to be. I sent Justin to the store the other day to help out the Easter Bunny by getting some specific candy that the boys saw in the Walmart ad, but I BEGGED him to not go overboard. Well, even though he called me from the store and I again said not too much, he still comes home with like $35+ in JUST CANDY!!!! :scared: :rolleyes2 He said the customer service gals just laughed at him yesterday when he was returning most of it "because my wife says I got a little out of control." (They agreed...) :lmao:

I'll be bringing black & brown sandals (similar to that pic) to wear during the day and when I wear capris at night and then my strappy dress shoes for slacks & dresses. Then I'll need my exercise shoes, too, for all those early morning DIS walks!! :thumbsup2

Dave -- good to hear your Sister is joining in! Sounds like a fun group.
DITTO!! :thumbsup2 I updated the info on #2!

I have a lot of returns  so maybe I will return as much as I spend? It is a nice thought.
I LOVE it when I have to return stuff!! It makes me realize that I don't need to spend if I really don't have to (LIKE THE CANDY!!). My return pile is pretty big right now, so I should get that taken care of!! ;)

Oh, and about the Disney Dollars that Santa & I have gotten for the boys, I'll be giving them play money in their wallets in that amt so they can "pay" me that amt whenever they want something with their gift cards that I'll put on the acct. :thumbsup2

pixiedust: for you! Hope it all goes well!! We LOVE doing that sort of thing. During the summer, we usually have at least one HUGE gathering per month. The end of May (or early June this year) is our annual poker run that ends @ our house with the BBQ pork butt that is Justin's specialty. Then either late June or early July is our annual Food & Fireworks party with the same yummy BBQ pork butt and more fireworks than you've ever imagined. We always come up with some other excuse to have at least 1 or 2 others later in the summer, too...birthdays and whatnot. Belinda, we'd love to have you & Shawn join our poker run with your Harley!! Oklahoma is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from us! ;) BUT the poker run isn't just for motorcycles either! Anyone who wants to come is invited!! :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend! It's stormy here and we are expecting 65 mph winds with hail, so no hikes this evening!
Sounds like what we had earlier this week and last week. I think the wind blew a constant 30+ mph for an entire week!! Wind makes me crabby.

JorDan!!! I hope you get all better REAL soon!! Especially in the next 5 weeks!!! Sorry about Chad's g'ma. :sad1:

I've got a busy day of stuffing eggs with what candy didn't get returned  and also taking my monthy HUGE trip to Walmart. I'm never looking forward to that. :scared:

JorDan - hope things get better soon...!

did you guys know you can prepay for your photo package? They have the 164.95 one with the 10 8X10's and so many 6X8's, think I am going to prepay and if we need more, buy on the ship.

Good Friday Everyone!!!!!

In a little over 5 Weeks some of us will be sitting back, relaxing and sipping on one of these.....

Count me in, these look soooooo good!!!

JorDan- You and your family are going through soo much! Our thoughts are with Chad and his parents. I also hope you are doing much better, I had no idea that a cat bite would be that serious! Oh wow! And your poor little kitty in his halo. Again we are thinking about you and your family.

be careful of those sailaway drinks - after lunch etc - they are watered down!! we usually hit the goofy pool bar!! ;)

Happy Easter All! :lovestruc

Alot of chatting has goon on!! My Internet went down on me for a few days!! BUT IM BACK! :goodvibes

I just took the Mazda Miata out of winter storage!! Im trying to get it ready for the Loooooooong drive to Florida! :drive:

Hi Everyone!

It is a gloooomy day here in Austin. They are expecting thunderstorms for Easter (what a bummer).

I am so jealous of V going to pool today. That would have been a much better way to spend the day. Instead, we wished MIL (and her DH) well as the left home to go back to Switzerland. I took the kids to swim lessons and worked on taxes. I can't wait to finish the taxes (then I get to focus 100% on the cruise :cool1:) but somehow can't work on them anymore today. Just charitable and mileage for the business left and we will be done!

JorDan -- I posted on your blog too but I wish you lived closer so we could help Chad take care of you. I hope you get well fast. We want a healthy JorDan on the cruise!

Andy -- glad to hear from you! How exciting to pull the Miata out! We have an old Mustang convertible (ok, not that old but 11 years is pretty old) but the weather is not nice right now to drive it.

Let's see -- yesterday spent the day shopping but didn't really get much. Belinda, I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE to shop but oddly enough, can't get into it lately. Hopefully I can get my "shopping gene" reactivated so I can start looking for things we need for the cruise!!!

I got beach towels for both kids (Wall-E and Daisy). Flip flops & sunglasses for each (thanks for the idea Jane). The Disney store had them for $8 for BOTH!!!! I got both a pair of PJs (Sabrina needed something Disney for the Goofy Slumber party!). They also got a webkinz each and candy. I got Kai a new Leapster game and Sabrina a new DS game. Now -- does the Easter Bunny always deliver "wrapped" baskets or will it be odd for the baskets to arrive this year without the cellophane & ribbons? I really dont want to go back to the store and forgot to buy the cellophane!

I also bought some disposable cameras from Target (on clearance) BUT am going to wait until the cruise to give them to the kids. I spent a small fortune at Target but for the life of me, can't figure out what?!? :confused3 It certainly wasn't candy like Justin (that was too funny Val!) but just not quite sure where the $$ went......

V -- did you figure out the reservations question you had on the main thread? I hope us linking you with the big group didn't screw things up!!! :scared1: I know they linked up your Mom too, at least she said she
did and we have 9 cabins (maybe 10 if Kim joined in) already linked and that sounded right when I counted your Mom in that.

Also -- everyone, did you read the funniest stories about the boys who unpacked their underwear? TOOOO FUNNY!!! :rotfl2: Reminded me to pack where the kids do NOT get into the suitcases!!!!

Ok, feeling a blah with this weather. Maybe I should open a bottle of bubbly? :woohoo: of course....that won't help me lose weight over the next 5 weeks......but........ummmmmm......:rolleyes1

Alright -- of to go do something else. My shoulder & neck are killing me from working on the laptop doing taxes.

Have a good Easter Saturday everyone!!!!

Oops -- forgot a couple of things.

Dave -- I am excited for you that Donna is joining us!!! What a GREAT group you have going! I hope your parents get some pixie dust and find that magical upgrade!!!!

Kathy -- thanks for all of the suggestions on KW. We will go to Margaritaville for sure but maybe now just for a margarita. Yoni loves seafood, may have to get him some conch and I can stick to a liquid lunch.

V -- thanks for the tip on the drinks at sailaway. I always wondered how watered down the drinks might be on the tray. We'll get ours from the bar as well! Plus, I don't think I want to pay for souvenier cups all the time...

Yes it is exciting!! lol:) Mustangs are (By Far) My favorite cars! From 1964 1/2 all the way to the brand new 2010! The weather is just getting warm enough to drive it, its staying around 3-10 degrees C.

HAPPY EASTER TO MY DIS PEEPS!! :rotfl2:

I second that!!:flower3: (the closest I could find to a springtime theme).

(They agreed...) :lmao:
This is the first year that I didn't do baskets (didn't even color eggs either). Everyone got to pick out one treat. It's going to be a really quiet day here (and actually I'm really looking forward to it). We'll probably take a nice long walk.

For someone who doesn't like to shop, you did pretty well for your Easter stuff. Congratulations, you are almost finished with your taxes!!

I ran around getting supplies for our FE hanger and laminating sheets, a new printer (YIPEE) and t-shirt iron on paper. I wanted to make shirts for Jim and I for our anniversary. Finally got the printer hooked up, printed and cut out some sample transfers and tested it on some spare FE material. Just in case anyone is wondering, No you can't use the "light fabric" transfer paper for dark colored material. I'll have to go back to Michaels and get the dark colored paper before I can finish the FE hangers. But I was able to finish Jim's t-shirt. I'm too tired to try and figure out how to download the pics now. Maybe tomorrow.

Stepping out of my usual lurkdom to wish all of you a Happy Easter. There is something about a beautiful Easter morning, isn't there? DH is getting so excited about the cruise (and his 2 scuba dives) that he starting gathering and packing things this weekend. I guess I will have to start getting things together myself soon. Enjoy your day.

:):)HAPPY EASTER Everyone!!!:):)

I hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing Easter Sunday with your family.

Adedward -- glad to hear from you and glad DH is getting excited. I need to get Yoni recertified for his dive in GC.

Kristin -- my kids got tons of Reese's type candies but shhhhhh.....we're making Sonya jealous! :rotfl: ***Don't tell her but I think the easter bunny brought her some peanut butter and chocolate to our house too! I'll save it for the cruise...but shhhhhh, wouldn't want her to find out;)***

Jane -- can't wait to see the shirts. Let me know how they turn out and post pics. I bought fabric iron on but haven't tried it yet. Once I am done with taxes which should be TODAY!!!

Alright, need my coffee :surfweb: -- have a great day everyone!

Happy Easter everyone!
I only did baskets myself this year ,and Bathing suits. No Easter Egg hunt. Kids were asking why? Felt a bit terrible ,but not feeling good lately. Tired out. Need a vacation or something. OH I can't wait for our cruise.

Jordan, I'm sending much needed prayers and Pixie dust your way!

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm drunk. Too much sangria and spiked fruit cocktail at Easter breakfast. Sort of a Polish-American tradition. A lot of people would give up alcohol for lent, and Easter morning would be the first time they'd get to drink, so they'd drink at breakfast. Of course I don't give up alcohol for lent, but that doesn't stop me from imbimbing at breakfast. I'm now getting ready for dinner bbq - chicken marinated in wine and london broil marinated in beer and curry. More alcohol, like I need it.

The great thing is I get to see cousins at breakfast that I probably won't see again until Christmas.

This week should be the week we guaranteed people find out our stateroom. Anyone check today?

Happy Easter!!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. It's beautiful here but really chilly. The DH got me an easter card with mickey one the front that plays "When You Wish Upon A Star"!!! I've only opened it to hear the song 100 times already and think about the cruise. Although I did like my Cadburry Eggs. Mmmm. Just got home from church and finshing up the macaroni and cheese, ranch potato casserole, and 7-Up pound cake with berries for our family's Easter dinner later.

As you can tell and chance of healthy eating before the cruise is going to have to be ditched today. :cutie:

I like the way you work!! lol, I checked today for guaranteed staterooms, I was hoping for an Easter gift from DCL but no such luck.. hopefully by Tuesday!!! I am so excited.

Crystal -- if my kids were older I would totally skip the egg hunt. We did ours at my Mom's. We each (me and my 2 sisters) brought eggs and we hid them inside since the ground was wet from our thunderstorms early this morning. Now I have to keep the kids from eating too much candy today!

Tammy -- you crack me up! I too like your style. I had 2 mimosas at brunch with the family but called it quits there. My sister and her husband gave up alcohol for lent but according to them, it ends on Holy Thursday so she wasn't so anxious to drink. Of course, I am guessing they will be drinking all day while they watch (ok, he watches) the Masters.

Lynsey -- how sweet! What a great card!!!! I am so ready to be done with taxes (can you tell I am still avoiding them?) so I can focus on the cruise?

The food sounds TERRIFIC!!!! Yumm yummm....calories on Easter Sunday don't count do they?
